[Apologies for the belated opening of the new sandbox.  Sure would like to hear a discussion about the relative merits of Heidi Hall and Cheri West, candidates for District #1 Supervisor.  Also, what can our BoS do to slow down the drain of liberties and our loot to Sacramento?  gjr]

Was watching European news channel and the commentators were talking about Russia on the march. One of the commentators spoke of the convenience for 0 to be able to talk about a shooting while the world is on fire with Iran on the ground in force in Syria and Russia in Iraq. Frankly surprised 0 didn’t say we could solve isis with good gun control laws in the middle east. They already said a good jobs program would take care of isis. ^#%*(%!

Grave dancer? I have never said that.
Hoping to see evil people’s obits is quite a refreshing thing to say. A elixir of sorts. I like the one a few years ago Zawahiri I think. The head chopper of that American. The first on camera beheading. I enjoyed that piece of sh*** obit tremendously.

That works even more against your argument since tax payer dollars are prohibited to be used for abortions. Odd isn’t it, tax payer dollars not allowed to be used towards a legal medical procedure.

Who are the local people whose obits you would rejoice in seeing, thus grave dancing. You write:
” They were scum then and they still are today. Unfortunately our county has many of them. I can’t hardly wait for their obits in the Union.”

the “out of work” #’s are out. A new record again. As I recall “someone” just can’t handle the truth.
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/10/02/record-94610000-americans-not-labor-force/
“The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that a record 94,610,000 people (ages 16 and over) were not in the labor force in September. In other words they were neither employed nor had made specific efforts to find work in the prior four weeks.
The number of individuals out of the work force last month — due to discouragement, retirement or otherwise — represented a substantial 579,000 person increase over the most recent record, hit in August, of 94,031,000 people out of the workforce.
While the prior two months saw a labor force participation rate of 62.2 percent, September’s participation rate dropped to 62.4 percent, matching the lowest level seen since October 1977.
The civilian labor force in September clocked in at 156,715,000, declining by 350,000 people, compared to August’s 157,065,000 labor force level.”

Here is a “taxation without representation” issue the Tea Party should take up:
According to “Consumer Reports” no less than 85% of consumers want products that contain GMOs labeled so they can choose whether or not to buy them. The House of Representatives passed legislation in July prohibiting states from requiring such labeling. In other words, despite the fact that an overwhelming supermajority of people want GMO labeling, states will not be able to require such labeling. Do these representatives serve the public or corporate lobbyists and campaign contributors? Our taxes pay their salaries and we elect them to represent us so why don’t they pass legislation that 85% of people want?

Joe, why do you think there is a political revolution happening in both parties? Our elected “representatives” promise the moon to get elected, but forget about the people the minute they cross the threshold in Congress. Problem is, there usually isn’t a decent candidate to choose from.
On that note, Geogrge started this sandbox asking for an rational critique of Cheri West vs Heidi Hall. Sorry, I can’t add to the comparison because I don’t know anything about West other than her press release. Heidi has immersed herself in our community to try to help solve problems. She is on the board of NEO, works for Hospitality House, contributes her time to raise money for good causes like when she volunteered for Dancing with our Stars. Actions speak way louder than words in my book.

Going off of your comment, my guess you don’t know a whole lot about women’s reproductive health, pregnancy, fetuses, development stages, ect… Therefore your opinion is just that, an opinion. An uneducated and ignorant opinion to boot. Take a break from the Authoritarian-Corporatist blog for the night and go read up on women’s reproductive systems/ health and the different stages of pregnancy.
By the way, wanting to use Government to force women to bring pregnancies to full term is an Authoritarian position.

WHAT!??! 0 obviously can not read a map or an order of battle list. They have created the Persian crescent iran has dreamed about since the times of the shahs. There are no Arab boots on the ground in Iraq or Syria and Russia has a state of the art air defense system 50 odd miles from incerlick turkey, our air hub in that end of the world. If putin wants to he can shoot down our jets as soon as they lift off the ground. This is a strategic disaster that has exponentially increased the chance of a real high tempo shooting war. He again says they were caught off guard. How can that be when even I was able to note the unusual air bridge activity?

For the next time someone tells you the democrats are the party of the little guy…the party that thinks outside of the box….the party that wants to eliminate the corrupting influence of money from the political process!

“Like Clinton and Sanders and O’Malley, I believe America needs urgent and important reform: it needs a minimum wage that is a living wage, it needs climate change legislation, it needs to respect the equality of citizens and end—finally—the second class status that too many Americans know. It needs a health care system that Americans can afford. It needs to stop subsidizing oil companies, and stop tolerating their pollution. It needs the courage to stand up to the banks, it needs to restore safety to the financial system, it needs an immigration policy that promises some of the hardest working Americans that they can become citizens and it needs sane gun laws that keep machine guns away from the sorts who would massacre school children.

also – “By the way, wanting to use Government to force women to bring pregnancies to full term is an Authoritarian position.”
I suppose wanting the govt to make sure parents feed and care for their children is an ‘Authoritarian’ position.
If a woman is pregnant, another human life is involved. The govt has a responsibility to protect that life. If a govt will not, first and foremost, protect the most vulnerable – it has no reason to exist.

NPR reminded us all again this morning that ‘international law’ (whatever that is) prohibits returning fire on combatants who fire at you from mosques, hospitals, and schools. The Taliban in Kunduz, as Muslim fighters have done for decades (forever?), fired on the Afghani forces from the hospital in which Doctors Without Borders were working. The Afghanis apparently called in an airstrike on the facility used as a fire base in the fight to retake Kunduz.
Our pro-Islam progressives are the only ones in our midst who back such clearly idiotic ‘laws’, and it appears that only the adherents of the ‘religion of piece’ habitually use school children, the sick/wounded, and other innocents as shields in their brave fight against the enemies of radical Islam. But we must never forget that all cultures are of equal worth, and we must never judge a culture, especially in comparison to western culture.

    Scott and Todd,
You guys realize a fetus at 12 weeks weighs about an once and 24 weeks or 2/3 through the pregnancy the fetus weighs around 1 1/2 to 2 pounds. I get the feeling you guys believe from conception the fetus looks and is developed like a full term baby, it is not. Also you realize a huge number of pregnancies don’t make it to term for number of reasons. In your world of Big Government what authority should the government have over pregnant women? Should it be mandated a woman should have her cervix sewn shut if there is a chance of premature labor? Or a woman should be forced by our government to continue a pregnancy after learning by week 12 the fetus’s organs are developing on the outside of the body and the risk of other birth defects are very high?
These are two examples of a women in my direct family and my wife’s family.
