   Todd, Gary has lots and lots on his daddy’s money. A 1%er’s little boy. Spend Gary spend all that money that should be given to somebody who does not work and is a total slacker/loser. Maybe Gary should house and fed all those starving artists to give them a place to finally express their talents after all these many years. Or pay for those who majored in Chicano Lesbian studies and who are burdened with unfair college debt due to the loans they applied for and gladly received at the time.
   Much better to give it all away than have it all away taken away like that 1%er Clinton is planning. Plus, it’s a good tax write off so your taxes do not go to The Military.
   Anybody here buy one of those $80.00 Bernie Teddy Bears he is peddling on his site yet? Cuddle it while you listen to The Bern rail against buying unneeded materialistic stuff because children in Bum, Egypt are starving. The Bern Teddy is absolutely to die for.    I would vote for Gary Johnson before Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush any day of the week. It will take an enormous movement to oust those two establishment candidates from their perceived rightful heir to the throne. We have two major parties and one establishment that controls both parties so no matter who controls the Executive Branch the establishment has control over our foreign policies, Supreme Court nominees, Congressional Committees, and Agency heads. in summary control of our federal government and by default/ supremacy clause or funding leverage our state governments who then control our local governments.
   The key of actually getting a functional democratic republic is wrangling the power from the establishment by electing candidates that openly campaign against it. Bernie Sanders is running an outsider campaign within the machine and is starting to make some oligarchs very nervous. Donald Trump in a very sick and twisted way is doing the same thing in the Republican Party.
   We are starting to see how the media(who is also controlled by the establishment)take down Trump and the signs of taking down Sanders are there as well.
   The two largest and most powerful public institutions in the US are the Democratic and Republican Party’s. They are controlled by big money special interests as is the mainstream media(6 companies control 90%).
   It will be a Hillary vs Jeb 2016 unless the people pull off a huge upset by coming out in such huge numbers the elections cannot be rigged and stolen.

   There are plenty of examples of what George espouses. Just because there isn’t an entire country that follows all of them and is just the perfect example doesn’t mean his views are worthless.
   All of the AGM alarmists have been proven wrong with all of their ‘predictions’ – but strangely enough they are still held in high esteem by the true believers.
   Our world is filled with realities that were ridiculed by the masses as nonsense when first proposed.
   What country did the founding fathers ’emulate’ when our nation was founded? They certainly couldn’t point to another country as an example back in the 1700s.
   So the founding fathers – according to Paul Emery’s twisted logic – all had worthless ideas.
   Or ‘blats’ as Paul calls them.

    While Walker winding down his campaign is no surprise calling them the biggest GOP flops of the modern era would just be so much of the ‘jon’ scatology. Walker did bitch slap the Unions into line and won 3 elections in 6 years. Perry in his 13 years had staggering economic successes in TX but could never get past forgetting the 3rd Fed. department he would close in that debate. Whoever wins the GOP marathon they will be much tougher from the fray than the pampered and protected liar HRC.

    Perry could not speak 2 sentences in a row without taking 2 minutes to finish.
    We heard all about his brainpower from Jim Hightower and other Texas progressives years before the nation heard him in 2012 and 2015. He did do one good thing though- he made GW Bush look intelligent. Scotty Walker did indeed damage Unions in his state, as well as the overall WI economy, which is one of the worst in that region. He only survived recall because of a very weak Dem opponent. So its back to his Scout Troop. Those guys can also hit the rubber chicken circuit now- if people want to pony up 50 bucks to hear Scott Walker or Rick Perry…LOL…have at it!

    I won’t vote for Hillary nor Bush. I wIl not sit this one out, so I will vote for somebody in the end.
    Interesting to see who Hillary chooses to go after. Tells us who her campaign sees as a threat. She sure slammed Walker for 3 weeks straight. Now her campaign is going after that other woman with a vengeance. Choice between two gals in a cat fight is some wild scratching going on. Of course, Hillary is above the fray, it’s those unknown people on her payroll that are trashing the bimbos for her.
    Don’t think that other woman Carly will be sticking around to the end.
    Political side note: it is appearing that the old Clinton Machine Loyalists were loyal to Bill their boss, not to Hillary his bitchy wife. The old Bill defenders seem to go through the motions of defending Hillary half heartedly with no fire in their belly. Where is the spirited defenders of The Hill like the Ragin Cajun and Lenny? Probably mellowed with age. Just another biased opinion of mine.
    Bottom line. It ain’t who is the best or brightest or one’s #1 Draft Pick. It’s who is still standing after the Conventions. The rest of them go out to pasture until called.

    Oh Paul, I meant called to run errands. Seems nobody answered your question about who should we try to emulate. None of them I say. Maybe heaven or whatever place besides hell you visualize where you go after death. A place with no pain or sorrow is preferred. In a perfect world…..this is not or will ever be a perfect world as long as humans walk the face of the planet. Back to the Future #37 might hold some hope for ya. I just love those Hollywood endings, don’t you? Eh?
    Think James Madison had the best insight concerning your question posed. Letting the commoners have guns and arms for self defense and more importantly defense against a tyrannical domestic government in the future is what he saw as the most unique and most revolutionary idea of any society/country formed in history. He saw that single aspect as the unique Enlightenment of The Great Experiment and ALL other countries in existence as backwards because of our right to bear arms applied individually. It’s where the others fell short.
    Glad SCOTUS agreed and ruled that since we all do not have the right to join a milita, then it must mean we have a individual right to bear arms. Wish more countries were as enlightened as we are. They should try emulating us, but as Madison clearly remarked, they are all backwards.
    So, with that in context, I would emulate zero of them.

Lets see, Bobby Jindal is still breathing, Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee…3 just off the top of my head! Then there’s always George Pataki or Scandal ridden Chris Christie if you fancy a Governor type. Just a veritable bounty.

    Well, Todd, just stay in the top six for now. I see the Republican numbers are sliding down the slope. 1st debate 24 million viewers, the record for any non sporting event in cable history. Total of 54 viewers that night viewing all cable outlets. Half ain’t bad.. Second debate, only 23.4 million viewers, a CNN record in its 35 year history. I can see the Clown Car sliding into obscurity, can’t you? First, 24million plus viewers then a measly 23 million plus viewers. Heading in the wrong direction. Darn it, Jon is right again. Doom and Gloom lies ahead. Best to pack it in now.
    Can’t wait for the Democrat New Hampshire debate. It’s on the Saturday night before Christmas. Weekend before Christmad?? Should set viewer records as well….the lowest viewed debate since the invention of the Television. Oops. Make than since TVs where common in the American households, not when Biden said that FDR addressed the nation on the boob tube with his “Nothing to fear but fear itself” speech.

    Carly won’t make it. Has that HP thang and the Brian Williams’s memory. Rodham’s numbers are being skewed by the non contender Biden’s and Rodham has locked all the Big Big donors that count. Plus, the Debbie Factor of having the DNC in her hip pocket.. Rodham has the machine and all the machines at the ready. Hillary who bumped her head when fingers started pointing her way and abandoned State is stomping all Dem contenders in National polls and polls that matter.
    What does Joe have? Heck, he is the VP that never even donated 500 bucks to charity for years (many years 200 bucks or less) until the media caught on during Obama’s first term. How does it feel to donate more than Biden in 2000-2010 to charity? Feels good I tell ya.
    So the Bern has some momentum no doubt, but his base is with elitists and the 20% cracker libs. Numbers don’t add up. And many blacks will never never forget how “that’s just Joe’ sabotaged Anita Hill and refused to allow her credible witnesses testify at the Clarence Thomas hearings. Plus his disparaging words for the immigrants owning convince stores and calling Obama a clean Negro. Maybe you will get stuck with Biden afterall. Not. It’s Hillary now and tomorrow. As some remind me, follow the money, honey. Yep, Hillary does look better around closing time. But since all the attention and enthusiasm is on the Republicans almost to exclusion, I can understand why Jon is so focused and obsessed with being Right. That also works to Rodham’s benefit in a perverse way.

    We will know something on Biden in the next 2-3 weeks. I think he’s coming in, right about October 1. Otherwise he will not be in the first debate, and that would close any chance for him. Its gotta be a Biden/Warren ticket if they want to take out Hillary and garner the big donor and party support.

Seems like a tough hombre who’s in it for the long haul with enough core money and base support to hold out for awhile. Would you support Kasich if he was to miraculously pull out the nomination, as he is on the record now with several moderate positions- ie. Iran?

    Re: Carly, Tozer you may be right, but I would contend that if you read her bio with an honest eye, what she did to Lucent Technologies was far worse than HP, in terms of lost enterprise value to the company. I think Forbes had a really honest, in depth article about the Lucent fiasco.
