FRESH SAND! Who is surprised that the Iranians right after 0 won in the Senate told the world that contrary to intelligence estimates they were not running out of uranium. In fact they have unexpectedly high reserves and now the money to do something with it. So what percentage of the 0/Kerry calculations of risk counted on them not having indigenous sources of uranium to refuel the reactors?

DonB 549pm – Historians are not only going to have some head-shaking fun with this aspect of Obama’s incompetency, but more so will they puzzle over the tens of millions of gruberized Americans, and wonder how the republic lasted as long as it did. I predict their conclusion will be that what we had going here before the collectivist catastrophe was some mighty kind of governance maintained by hardworking independent people just thankful to be free in the pursuit of their own happiness. It takes a lot to sink such a ship of state, by my are they working at it.

Ben (earlier today), who appointed you, much less local government, to decide on my personal safety at home?
A few years ago, I added a workshop and astronomical observatory to my home. Drew up plans, submitted them for a permit and first try got bounced. The accessible roof deck of the new shop was deemed to need a safety railing around the rather low parapet designed to match the house itself (flat roof all over). So, Ok, I resubmitted plans showing a simple post-supported steel railing to prevent a slip turning into a 10 foot fall. Approved, permit issued.
Construction complete, call for final inspection and the clown tells me that the railing, as approved and built, isn’t sufficient; it needs screening to prevent anything larger than 8″ diameter to get thru. I tell the guy it’s to prevent accidents, not suicides. He still says no and goes back to base.
I decide “to hell with this system” and simply go on with life. Upshot: because no final approval was secured, there was no upcharge on my property taxes, as though the addition had never been built. This is your “smart” government at work enforcing safety regulations on people who can decide for themselves what is sufficient.

The fact that truly beclowns our Government is that no party representing same ever noticed that the new roof deck affords easy access to the rest of the roof and no one, at any time, ever suggested that the rest of the roof would need safety railings at all. Think about that. Probably in CA the goons would have come out and demanded the shop be torn down and I would have to have shot them. Fortunately, AZ is many years behind in collective insanity.

We really are surrounded by the fucking stupidest people in the world. Yes, all Muslims are the same, one Muslim commits an act or terror and all Muslims are terrorists, and responsible for the actions of every other Muslim in the entire world.
I could think of a 1000 things not to like the Iranians for, but taking ‘down the Twin Towers’ ain’t one of them. I suggest Bill look to US ally and major trading partner Saudi Arabia for that one if he wants to blame a subtle state sponsor of terrorism.

The Europeans are already discovering that everyone figured out to dump the passport that would make them an economic immigrant and buy phony Syrian passports. People can not look at the EU as a homogenous structure. The Germans have a good reason to want a bunch of the better educated healthy 20 somethings because their population is shrinking and ageing without new bodies. People to pay into the pension plan for the next 30, 40 years. On the other hand Britain is on an upward population trend with bad jobs availability. When are we going to hear (main streams, hello) about the defacto ethnic cleansing of Christians from the middle east? The fact that they are an endangered species the Yazidis, Copts and other Christian and ancient sects should be a prime focus for immigration since they get no love from any of the muslum nations. The suni and shia all have friendly places in close proximity.

If you bother to peel back the layers of the onion, the Iran nuke deal is far more ominous than one can imagine.
Obama and his minions sold their Iran nuke “deal” on the basis that limiting the number of centrifuges would enable Iran to continue to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes while preventing them from enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels. It’s a little known fact that fewer centrifuges are required to enrich the amount of U235 required for a bomb vs the amount needed to fuel a reactor. Alarmingly, the number of centrifuges permitted under the Obama/Kerry deal is sufficient to satisfy the requirements for producing weapons grade U235:

What I have known for a long time has finally been made public by our recent exchange on Sandbox about what I would call a metaphor and you guys like to pretend is reality. The metaphor of having a gun held to our heads forcing us to pay taxes for services, social programs, and infrastructure.
You guys are delusional and have created an alternate reality. A reality that has privileged pampered white males believing they are somehow victims in a nation/ society where every opportunity is available to them. The Great Divide is that of a delusional mental disorder vs reality. This delusion allows for sociopath like positions when it comes to issues that require compassion. I do not believe any of the fab five or George are sociopaths but the stated positions on various issues could lead a person to believe otherwise.
Sociopath- a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.
