[We have been hearing a lot of chest beating about the demise of the Republican Party during the last year. And to hear the same prognosticators, 2016 will pretty much bury the GOP. Here’s a little graphic to ponder. gjr]

I see the KI-ote is whining about Citizens United decision again. The left has to have a reason for their smackdown by the American people and that decision seems their favorite excuse. I say the American people are simply rejecting the left and their ideas. Too much “progressive” policy has brought the middle class all its prob;ems. The people see through them and are booting their sorry asses out of power. Of course there are some that will never be booted. Like the urban whiners who keep getting re-elected even though their constituents never progress to success. But that to me is the best example of “progressive” success. Generation after generation of people on the dole. Wow! Those urban democrats are sooo proud!
The whiny Ki-ote like all good progressives only tells half the story though. His favorite group, unions, get to donate all they want as well and we can see their success here in California. Millions of dollars from the unions to keep a hegemon here and look at the mess they have made.LikeLike

DAMN…. I should have copyrighted my latest brain storm. It’s already been swiped.
Someone picked up ” Teflon Don” to describe Trump and is now using it.LikeLike

You should have included the key paragraph from The Wall Street Journal article that accompanied the chart:
“For now, the two parties wield their influence in competing branches of government: Republicans, in control of Congress, using state-level dominance to draw congressional districts friendly to GOP candidates; and Democrats in the White House, using their demographic advantage nationwide.”
Our future is perpetual grid lock in Washington.LikeLike

Wanna take a look at how another liberal run state is doing, then consider Illinois. It is vying for the worst run state in the Union with other long-led Democrat states like California and New Jersey. In Illinois the voters finally elected a Republican governor (Rauner) whom the Democrat legislature is attempting to nail with the state’s fiscal problems. The Dems refused to pass a budget until Rauner submits to yet another tax increase for the Land of Lincoln. Rauner refused unless the Dems will rollback some really putrid regs that are driving out Illinois businesses. The Dems have in their turn refused, hoping that the state government will have to shut down so they put the blame on Rauner. Overall, it pays the intelligent reader to examine the fortunes of states that for years have been under the tender mercies of liberals, and compare them to states not so blessed. More here –

Re government gridlock – one of the oldest parts of the Rebane Doctrine is ‘Government gridlock is good.’ I recall that both Mark Twain and Will Rogers had some wise counsel on that condition which inevitably benefitted Everyman. I also have advised that legislatures’ productivity should be radically redefined. Now the country’s naïfs attribute productivity to the number of new laws the politicos pass to satisfy their respective special interests. A more useful measure would be the net of laws passed and laws sunsetted – or simply the net pages added/subtracted from the tomes of the US Code.LikeLike

When I was running CABPRO we invited the “Cigarettes Cheaper” owner to come and speak. He became a thorn in the side to Sacramento governments because he just didn’t roll over to their power when he wanted to open some new stores.
He said to us that “whenever a commission or other government meeting takes place, we all lose so more freedoms”. This is totally true. So my philosophy has been “less is more” regarding Americans freedoms.
One only need to look at the ridiculous amounts of tax payers money just approved by the BOS to force compliance of the “tower” people in Penn Valley. Why would our local government people (4 repubs) do this? Change the rules to allow people to build on their property where they want to build. They own the ridge line so if the government wants to control it, then BUY IT!LikeLike

A shocking fake news story today
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/ccgs-amundsen-re-routed-to-hudson-bay-to-help-with-heavy-ice-1.3162900?cmp=rss
Some shmucky Canucks expect us to believe the worst summer ice in 20 years has forced them to relieve a Canadian Coast Guard ship of global warming research duty in order to help shipping deal with Arctic sea ice.
Who to believe… Jerry Brown, the Pope, or Canadians?LikeLike
-
“Our future is perpetual grid lock in Washington.”
Oh, if only that were true. Unfortunately, the folks in DC keep very busy issuing new regs and rules like a never-ending stream of brown liquid from a failed septic tank.
Not to mention the constant increase in spying and info collection of the lives of the general public.
Govt shutdown? Gridlock? It’s never happened and never will.LikeLike

Jerry and the Pope are cooking up more laws for us schlubs so we can be holier. Jerry is back to quoting scripture and talking about morality as it pertains to his apocalyptic views concerning AGW.
And the left complains about the conservatives trying to set up a theocracy!

Regarding government and laws and regulations.
I would offer three times the yearly salary to the Congress if they would remove laws and regs and resist new ones for ten years. And not just little BS stuff. And they would spend the savings on infrastructure and the old farts. The American people would save trillions!LikeLike

In the is anyone surprised dept., we now find out about secret side deals that put parchan research facility inspections out of our control or if they even can happen outside the ‘deal’ with iran. John the lurch Kerry admitted he has not seen them but he trusts the UN. $**))@&%&%)#&@()$&&*@_)E&$&(W_!!!!!!!!!! Oh – here’s a great idea.

It’s for ‘transportation projects’ only!
So they run up a big pile of dough and can’t spend it due to CEQA and we’re in another ’emergency’ and guess what? They raid the fund (again) to help try to balance the budget.
The OHV (green sticker) money that was stolen has yet to be re-paid. According to a report from the OHMVR the money is supposed to be repaid by the end of the 2016/2017 fiscal year.

Some stupid guy called a ‘judge’ (whatever that is) ruled the money to be repaid 2 years ago. They called it a ‘loan’.
Completely illegal, but hey! – isn’t that so and so going out with that other guy that’s supposed to be gay?LikeLike

Let’s see now. Regarding the Iranian Nuke Juice, I thought we went into this thing so Iran would not be allowed to enrich uranium. The UN had our backs on this one.
Then we said they could have only so many centrifuges to enrich uranium, for generating electricity of course. Wink, wink. Secret hand sign. Cross my heart, hope to die. Fooled ya, had my fingers crossed.
Now, I guess we are saying they can make the Big One when we are not looking, but only for peaceful purposes, and of course the Iranians will be allowed to have thousands of centrifuges, yet only make a few A-Bombs. Just a few is all they ask. We believe them so much that we lifted the sanctions and now are sworn to defend Iran if Israel tries to wipe Iran’s warheads and weapons of mass mega mega regional destruction off the face of the planet.
I friggin told you so, all you asswipe peaceniks. We are now sworn to defendi Iran. That was an easy call cause both the Iranians and Obama’s blood relatives are Shittes and they abhor the Sunnis. Easy call, like shooting fish in a barrel.
Then, we have the arrogance problem. Obama truly knows for sure that if the Ayatollahs and him just sit down and gab, a new U.S.-Iranian accord will definitely be reached, no ifs, ands, or butts about it. Obama will sway them over with smooth No Drama slogan utterances. Even the Ayatollahs of Nuclear Winter will be fainting at his words. He is the smartest human on the planet for sure.
Meanwhile, our Secretary of State seemed piqued when asked about all our friends in Iran chanting “Death to America”. Kerry acknowledged the rumors of those alleged chants lead by the President of Iran and seemed puzzled. Like, why are they chanting Death to America?? It’s a great mystery that only the Libhole mind can truly wrap their shit for brains around.
So, did I come close, did I.??? What did I leave out? Of yeah, I forgot. Stupid me. bad Bill. I plumb forgot that the OPEC oil exporter Iran is sitting on the second or third largest natural gas reserves on the Planet Earth (depending on which report you read) and desperately needs nuke juice for domestic energy production. Desperately is putting it mild. Maybe they need nuclear power to charge up those stretch limo electric golf carts.
Lord know they are not that stupid to dabble in wind and power power. That would be downright absurd now would it not? Nuclear energy is clean energy. Ever try to run the whole house/mosque air conditioner on the longest days of the year with temps over 112 degrees?
Yep, Iran is just trying to fall in line and go green….if us naysayers would only let them do their thing. What is their thing? Glad you asked. It’s to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Same goal as the Mooslum Brotherhood, the same group of “moderate Islamics that we can deal with.” You know, the Brotherhood that has been invited to the White House on more than one occasion as Obama’s personal dining guests.
Obama is a traitor or, to be gentle, is the kind of Eskimo you can sell ice cubes to or beachfront property in Arizona to. What a bunch of asswipes he has surrounded himself with. And let libs get offended when I call them libholes or loose bowels…er..libbowels? Obama offends me. He’s your Sugar Daddy, not mine.LikeLike

Here’s one for you to reveal the hypocrisy of the so called “States Rights” Conservative Republicans.
Food industry-backed H.R. 1599 would make the labeling of food products derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) voluntary for food companies, and it would BLOCK INDIVIDUAL STATES or municipalities from requiring GMO labeling.
The Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2015 would require the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate the distribution and labeling related to bioengineered foods.
The Pubbers are hiding under the skirt of the FDA on this one, passing a new regulation for them to enfore. The FDA is one of the agencies most often cited as over regulatory by patrons of this blog and Repubs in general.
The bill is co sponsored by our own Rep LaMalfa, Those of you with connections to LaMalfa ask him why “States Rights” are ignored on this issue. It is sponsored by Repubber Rep. Mike Pompeo, [R-KS-4]
https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/114/hr1599
This shows what money can buy since Monsanto and other international Corps dish out the bucks to friendly Congressmen. I remember La Malfa bugling States Rights last year while running for Congress. What a joke.LikeLike
