Oh yeah…let’s divert attention from the inherent racism here by pointing out that Jeff is fat, or I once owed a lot of money 20 years ago, or Michael owns a business in town and we should boycott it.
One thing I like about some of my cohorts here is that they are not afraid of your bullying tactics.

It does not take a rocket scientist (although in the case of our host perhaps a mad rocket scientist) to see the code constantly perpetuated on this site.

I’m sorry Steve but I have a couple of errands to run so delving deeper into your mental illness will have to wait. That others don’t see events as you do is not an indication that they are evil or racist as satisfying as that would be for you. I assumed you wouldn’t fall into a “black and white” (really no pun intended…not code language…no trigger warning) interpretation of these events but I guess not.
    “Code Language”….hmmmm….a difficult case indeed.

Frisch sees “hard” right wing code words like 1950’s Cold Warriors saw Communists hiding under the bed.
Checking out the claimed masterpiece on the FUE’s blog, a summary section reads:
“We even put these people on the radio, where they intentionally tone down their race hatred and religious bigotry to ‘pass’, while driving listeners to their web sites where they get to proselytize the most outrageous philosophy. Don’t like the fact that the culture around you is changing? No problem, drop out and create your own intolerant state.
These people have a right to free speech–it is what I love about America–they can be race baiters, religious bigots, misogynists, science deniers, name callers, liars and intolerant idiots. It is a free country after all.
But we have a responsibility to stand up and shout to the mountaintop that they are WRONG. We have free speech too, and we get to tell you that your way of life, and philosophy, that perpetuates violence and glorifies intolerance will not stand.
“I forgive you” they said, true to their values, and knowing it would be the hardest thing they ever did in their lives.
We are going to bury you in love you dumb shits.”

No you won’t, Frisch, you’re a confessed Hater who has all the same character flaws that you see in the people you hate.

Isn’t it rather obvious that although I admire the actions of the families in Charleston, I think that people who espouse your views must be held accountable? To not recognize the inherent incongruity and thus humor in the statement “We are going to bury you in love you dumb shits” is really pretty dense.

When attempting to deal with a caudal (see below) event such as the Charleston tragedy, we almost invariably seek an explanation and/or understanding of it from a larger perspective. We reject the event’s caudality because that doesn’t give us any purchase on how to remedy/prevent such future events. Instead we connect the event as a more likely (i.e. not caudal) outcome from a larger social, national, world disorder that needs to be corrected through our or the state’s ministrations.

Steve: I am kind of disappointed in you. The emotions that you are portraying are certainly not coming from a healthy place; you are better than that. There is evil in the world. To attribute such evil by gross generalization to a certain group of people is exactly the type of generalizations from which racism comes. To be sure there are sick and twisted people. The victims families are a testament of how the world should be. Love and forgive. Rather than making false and dubious generalizations, I choose love and hope. I have hope that one day all folks will judge each other by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Interesting that the only hate I read in connection with this sad incident is coming from atheists and not from persons of faith.

I wonder if this tragedy had instead been perpetrated by a radical Muslim or crazed black man in a bible study in, say, in a majority white, suburban Evangelical church in Alpharetta, GA— what do you think the tone would be like on Fox News?; what would be the tone of the victims relatives at a bond hearing (foregiveness?…oh yeah). Which of the reactions (Charleston vs. Alpharetta) would be closer to what Jesus taught us in the Bible?

And Jonnie and Frisch are always telling us that those that are adamant about some issue like homosexuality are really guilty of practicing what they supposedly oppose. Some sort of mental issues they say. It appears this strident anti-racist talk from those two then is really telling us all they are extreme racists. Ah, Freud, he has come through again.
Both those lovelies would rather have the blacks on the plantation. And they would be locking up their wives! LOL! What a hoot!

Again, it’s such a shame that the tragedy in Charleston was fodder for the same political attacks before the bodies were cold. The disassociations that counted were those of his father and uncle who both turned him in after recognizing him from the pictures released to the press. I have some sympathy for both of them but it pales in comparison to what is owed the families of the victims.
The shooter was 21 but never got past the 9th grade which may well signal his actual grade level is 6 or even below, or he’d have been promoted along with his peers.
Let’s repeat the list of beliefs Frisch stringed together in his Rogue’s Gallery:”they can be race baiters, religious bigots, misogynists, science deniers, name callers, liars and intolerant idiots. It is a free country after all”
    Frisch, once again, is “projecting”.

I find it ironic that Barry said the only hate he heard was coming from atheists, isn;t that a generalization that he was accusing me of engaging in? Of course, I engaged in no such generalization, I said we have created a culture that tolerates racism, and that people here are a part of that. That is not a generalization, it is specific.

The most debilitating racism in this country is the soft racism of low expectations. For example, it isn’t racism to note that young African Americans hopeing to attend college trail their white counterparts by over 100 points on the SAT-M with proportionally far fewer even taking the test, and similarly white kids trailing their Asian counterparts by almost as much.
Among college graduates hoping to become public school teachers in California, there is a similar gap between whites, blacks and Hispanics on the CBEST, which some liken to an 8th grade exam for promotion to high school.
“There was slight variation in the first-time passing rates by gender (69% for female and 74% for male), but there was substantial variation by ethnic groups. The first-time passing rate for White was 80 percent while it was around fifty percent for Latino (52%), Mexican American (52%), Filipino (55%), and South East Asian (51%); and slightly less than fifty percent for African American (46%).”
    http://www.ctc.ca.gov/commission/agendas/2011-06/2011-06-5C.pdf
Guess who ends up teaching in inner city schools? Rather than a bogus test like the CBEST after four+ years of college and a year + of teacher training, I favor a minimum SAT score for anyone wishing to teach, which would let people know before they start college if the job would be open too them without a big improvement on the SAT first.
fish, I think Frisch’s dog whistle is his own strange and sad version of tinnitus. He hears it all the time even when the only sounds are silence.

My goodness, these people coast along, gathering their checks and being big–shots and the people suffer. I am truly fed up with the Frisch type dopes running the place. This went pretty much exactly as I expected Jon.
I got pulled over here by Fish, posting just one portion of a quote (with Greg following with another truncated version) where I said in essence that a 21 year old does not become a neo-nazi mass murderer on his own. He is taught by someone to be that, and rather than just own up to the fact that we have a problem in our society with endemic and institutional racism, the apologists here took every opportunity to deny that fact.
A 21 year old does not learn about Rhodesia, apartheid, ZOG, and the “Jewish Worldwide Conspiracy” by going to the ice cream parlor. Someone taught this kid that owning and using a gun was OK. His friends and family knew he was a crack pot and that he owned a gun. He told his friends he was going to shoot up a college. He had an on-line presence that people knew about where he espoused his racist ideas.
There is a network of right wing, Nazi, Klan, White Supremacist, violent anti-governmen activists that teach young men crap like this. The Nazi web site Storefront has more than 300,000 followers in the United States, there are more than 700 active hate groups in the United States many with a strong on-line presence promoting their philosophy, there are hundreds of racially motivated hate crime a year, and these people have killed, maimed and destroyed the lives of more Americans that all of the ‘home grown’ islamic terrorists and groups combined, several times over.
There is an industry of promoting Posse Comitatus, Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City, and now Bundy Ranch and the Sovereign Citizen movement. The same industry promotes the Constitutional Sheriffs, Defend Rural America, the John Birch Society, the Promise Keepers (who have become quite radical) and the anti-Agenda 21 crackpots who have appeared in our community.
There are direct ties between many of the groups and people that have been invited in to speak at officially sponsored community forums in Nevada County (many by groups seeking to appear main stream like the Tea Party, CABPRO< the Republican Women) and more radical ant-government and racist hate groups.
Funny, the police Charleston, the South Carolina’s government, and just about every community leader from Charleston did not seem to have a problem admitting that there is systemic racism, and a legacy of racial violence, that still persists in their midst. They owned up to it pretty damn fast.
But our own home grown ersatz version of the White Citizens Council seems to have a hard time coming to grips with it’s existence in our own midst. They come up with every conceivable excuse, as I chronicled above, for why their racism is ‘different’ than Charleston’s. They even promote the haters on a regular basis, post photos of the gatherings, and promote the ideology that those groups have embraced, under the guise of Constitutionalist or “Conservatarian” principles.
As I stated earlier they have a perfect right to speak freely, even when their speech is hate, but we have a right to call it what it is, dangerous hate filled tripe with consequences that lead to death and destruction.
If they can’t handle a little sunshine, well then tough.
