   Walt, did you catch the really big news? The really big news is last night Hillary Rodclam announced her canadicy. Yep, she threw her hat into the ring. I wish her well.
   Now, before you go off half cocked, you might be thinking I am full of beans and Hillary already made the big announcement in April. Well, golly snurd, we are both right! Last night was Hillary’s official announcement part two. Guess the first announcement did not create the euphoria and fainting spectators as anticipated. Plus, the campaign has gotten bogged down by all these pesky news reports of her mischievous playful pranks she had been pulling over at State,. These wild mud balls and distracting accusations have been spearheaded by her political enemies of the Great Right Wing Conspiracy, aka, the New York Times, Reutgers, USA Today, and the Washington Post.
   So, time to regroup and start anew. From your link, Walt, the relaunch looks kinda like the original launch, generating the same enthusiasms and overflow crowds.

   Dr. Rebane. My best guess is no more official announcements of the Hillary Recovery Tour, aka, the unofficial official kick off. Or is it the official unofficial Recovery Tour? However, she does own that big red reset button that she showed Putin or Obama before she bonked her head and ditched State when Bengahzi probes were leading directly back to her. That reset button joke with Putin went over like a lead ballon if memory serves me correctly. My best guess is zero, but I have been wrong before.
   Hey, did you notice that Blue Dress Hillary wore Saturday night? Hmmm. I looked for signs of Bill’s DNA on it, but then realized the dress did not belong to a teenage subordinate so I was wasting my time. Sexual predators usually strike the unempowered, the vulnerable, the young and dumb so Hiilary is safe. She is too old in years and appearance to be manhandled by Bill or any male with still decent eyesight.
   At least she did the latest official hat in the ring toss in the friendly confines of New York. You know darn well she never wants to set foot in Arkanas again. Smart move having it in New York instead of a e-mail announcement this time around. She made another announcement AND shook down the Limousine Liberals at the same time. Smart move, I will give her that.
   Opps!!! Another reset might be in order. Well, what do you expect from somebody who cannot handle two e-mail accounts, yet seeks your money and vote to be the next leader of the free world? I would advise her to handle two e-mail accounts first, then move to the top dog spot. You know, fundamentals and muti-taking first. Baby steps would be my counsel. The job requires mastering mult-taking.

    Yes, it’s going to be one fantastic 8 years. All I can say is fasten the seat belt, tighten the helmet strap, check the instruments and enjoy the ride. Oh, forget the instruments. We won’t be driving so no worries. This is will be more fun than being strapped securely to a toboggan that has jumped the bank and is venturing into unchartered territory at a high rate of speed. Better and a longer ride I say, and more scenic than a elevator that snapped its cable. Going down, sir? Should be more entertaining than being in a cage full of angry chimps. Not to be a downer, I do have one word of caution. Watch out for the Woo Fung Poo on the menu.

    As I have previously reported I subscribe to mailing lists from multiple political organizations including some with whom I often disagree. Recent missives from democrats.org promoting the sale of Father’s Day gifts have caught my attention as one of the offered items is a travel tumbler with the legend, “I HATE TEA PARTIES.”
    It seems more than just a bit hypocritical for the party of inclusion and acceptance to express their hate in this way. I’m more amused than offended, though, because I know that hate is often (usually?) the result of fear.

    Our dog who’s afraid of nothing sure was rattled. Even the house rabbit acted like it may be on the menu. Yet all’s well when the Sun came up. All the cats accounted for. Garden intact.
    Maybe a bear? Some big cat? No Bigfoot tracks to be seen.
    Only now is Cudjoe getting any sleep.

    Paul, one never knows. Wholesale slaughter of millions of unborn children (the Latin definition of fetus is unborn child) might be enough to piss off the Pope, pun intended. It’s legal to kill, murder, terminate the life of the unborn child (half of which have penises which kills the argument of a woman’s body, another pun intended)) and the voiceless have no legal rights, no one to speak up for them. Just cause it is legal, does not make it moral or right. Opps, if you stab a pregnant woman in the belly and the unborn child’s life is terminated, then that is unlawful and you can face murder charges. Guess who is doing the killing makes it lawful or unlawful. Maybe God is doing his blesses and curses thing again. I cannot say for sure, no matter how off the wall it appears at first glance.
    Speaking of lawful verses unlawful, here is a link. Courts say no to the poor quad. I might be wrong, but he just may have difficulty landing another job. Colorado does not offer unemployment compensation, at least they did not use to. Lawfully fired. Perhaps he should try the self employment route. Proven to be an employment opportunity for the unemployable.

If what she believes is true then the guy in the sky is directly involved with our Legislative process and will punish us accordingly with pain and pestilence for going in the wrong direction.     I was guffawing at the liberal newsbabe that said comets were caused by global warming. You just can’t make this stuff up. I think that scares off indies who may vote dem and some dems too.
    The social issues are usually brought up by the left anyway. Jeeze, they are for infanticide, usually atheists and want to tell people what they can do with their bodies in the bedroom, refrigerator and in movies theaters and restaurants. Also in the lunch rooms of all business!. It seems to me the left is alienating their own voters and the middle thinkers.

    The attacks on Republicans for having social beliefs is quite interesting. Even though most R’s have a good set of moral values, (not all of course) and the party has been kicking democrat ass all over the country, the dems and the press do their best to say “abandon your principals or never get elected!” Hopefully this attack will weed out the weak kneed R’s who “go along to get along”. I am no means a fanatic about social issue but why is it the R’s have to be “tolerant”? The democrats are the least “tolerant” in my view and if you cross them they want to shut you up, shut down your business and run you out of town. Besides, abortion is a fifty fifty anyway.

    I always find it interesting how freedom-loving conservatives, the same people who want to get government out of our lives because individuals can make better decisions that a bunch of bureaucrats, insist on telling me who I can marry, whether my wife or daughter can have an abortion (rape and incest are not excuses), want to force my kid to pray in school, and at the end of life, tell me how I can end it.

    For the record, I am a freedom loving conservative who wants government out of our lives and thinks that governments should not involve itself in marriage of any kind, has no objection to first term abortion, is not religious and has no intent to force anybody’s kid to pray, and feels that if you’re ready to off yourself you should be allowed to do so.

    The reason behind that Colorado’s supreme court decision is that because federal law still outlaws marijuana the state’s law that says you cannot be punished for performing legal acts does not apply. I believe that the court ruled correctly and have long felt that as while illegal at the federal level, decriminalization by the states is pointless.

    Lets muddy the global warming pool- In figuring out the reason the big dinos did not like the tropic areas yet thrived at higher elevations some uncomfortable facts came out. In the proceedings of the National Academy of Science’s June 15th edition Jessica Whitside of the University of Southampton said the Triassic period had massive swings in climate and there were high levels of atmospheric carbon ‘four to six times current levels or what we project in 100 or 200 years in the future’. They also showed forest fires that burned at 1000f/600c from charcoal deposits. Given there were no humans in the Triassic period how do you explain those levels of atmospheric carbon? Dino farts? Volcanism? Forest fires? What ever the explanation there is ZERO human involvement. Splain’ that, or could it just be the natural planetary cycle driven by forces greater than ourselves?

    Kesti 202- The State Constitution also expressly states that employers don’t have to amend their policies to accommodate employees mj use yet they still pushed this suit. They succeeded in setting precedent, just not the one they wanted. All the States case law has gone this way.

    Gee Todd, was my comment out of line? Anyone who gloats over the fact that a disabled patient can be fired for using medical marijuana at home (not on the job), has earned my scorn – especially when he fronts a group supported by the makers of Oxycontin. I do not understand Don’s jihad against sick people. That’s something he will have to reconcile with his maker.

    So debate the issue and leave the personal attacks alone. You lose your argument when you do that. I would suggest even the most “hardcore” conservative would not punish sick people.
    I actually could care less if a person who is terminal takes any kind of drug to make their pain diminish. Unfortunately, that has not worked out real well as marijuana supporters said that was all they cared about in elections here a few years ago. Now they want “recreational” marijuana use. I suggest they need to make sure they are clean when their bosses test them if the boss has rules against the use of these drugs. What do you say?

    Todd, above, Hahahaha! You telling someone to stop the personal attacks is a riot! I think Paul E, Ben E, and Jon might disagree that you are above personal attacks. Since recreational MJ is not currently available in CA, all discussion about curtailing access in any way hurts sick people so please own the repercussions that come with opposition.
    You seem to think that I am unaware that there are people out there making incredibly large sums of money selling MJ in illegal ways. Are we so incapable that we can’t target these large comercial growers without harming legitimate medical providers? Not everyone can grow their own medicine, so simply growing more than one’s own personal needs is not necessarily evidence of an illegal grow.
    You make a huge mistake to lump all MJ activists into one group. Legalization is not universally popular amongst activists. There is the recreational crowd and the medicinal crowd (with some overlap).
    The problem with drug testing patients for using MJ is that the metabolites remain in your system for weeks so you can be sober as a judge and still test dirty. A patient should not be penalized for what they do in their spare time.
    Bill T, June 12, 5:55pm I’ve been a MMJ activist for 35 years. Do you seriously think that I am going to abandon patients because recreational MJ is on the horizon? It seems to me that our gov’t is more interested in legalizing recreation use than in protecting the rights of patients to use MJ to get the tax dollars.
    AB266 is making its way through the State legislature and it looks like it has a very good chance of passing. It is a terrible bill written by the League of Cities and the CA Police Chiefs Assoc. While we have beaten back some of the worst offenses, it still has several provisions that will have severe impacts on patients and cultivators so I am not in favor of it passing.
    I like that it sets up a strict licensing system and creates a Dept of MJ to oversee the program. Maybe once a better system is in place, the bad apples will slowly get “weeded” out. ASA has been championing best management standards for at least a decade. If adopted, many of our opponents complaints will vanish (but I’m sure they will come up with a whole new set of objections).

    Todd above, which initiative are you referring to? Prop 19 was clearly about legalization. Measure S was written for patients and would have allowed collectives to grow for those who couldn’t grow for themselves. There is a huge rift amongst MJ activists that support recreational MJ and those who want to keep it for medicinal use only.
    Where are patients supposed to get the medicine you say don’t object to? More and more, real patients do not smoke MJ. They use it in other forms that they might not have the knowledge or ability to make themselves. Collectives can do this for them, but they need the raw materials first. If you recall, Measure S capped the number of plants at 60 if you lived on 30+ acres. That is not excessive in anyway and was the reason the illegal cultivators didn’t support the measure. They wanted way more!
