[As most RR readers have seen, the sandbox 'all topics welcome' forums (fora?) in these pages have been more than well received – their comment streams quickly fill with multiple topic threads discussed among multiple participants.  Recently these sandboxes have begun 'filling' more rapidly – e.g. the 1jun15 sandbox garnered over 200 comments in three days.  This has given rise to a growing concern of mine about the readability of very long comment streams containing several live threads.  Fortunately, most commenters have started using name/time tag referents to point readers to which of the preceding comments their current comment addresses.  (However, some still believe that their particular thread is being so closely followed by everyone that no such provenance pointers are needed – hubris?)

So I wonder if perhaps readability would be enhanced were RR to implement categorical sandboxes – national policy, local issues, foreign policy, climate change, science, education, … ??  While that approach MAY focus discussions and make them more readable, it would also detract from the apparently pleasant melee or potpourri of thoughts that readers now experience as they revisit the comment stream to have their interest piqued by some new comment/er.  Easiest would be not to 'fix' what seems to work, and to just open new sandboxes whenever the comment streams grow beyond a hundred or so.  Anyway, I invite a discussion and your thoughts on the matter.  gjr]

Ha, fat chance. Todd and Don (and Greg) are incapable of ever admitting fault. It is in their DNA.

Steve, for all of Todd’s bluster about capitalism and business, he doesn’t seem to fully grasp or acknowledge the idea of business ownership risk. Wonder why that might be? Todd, did you ever encounter a problem with a personal or business financial obligation?

Goodness I love to see these liberals squeal. What a hoot!
So Frisch says he paid his employees with the money they paid in taxes and entrusted to him by law to send to the IRS. OK, got it. See 8:14 PM
“Jonnie” is just a troll no one knows who or what it is. Too funny. Debating a troll is never a winning idea.
Regarding my life and beliefs, yep, I have been a partisan and we have really come through and booted a lot of liberal asses out of office. Thereby saving our dear country from the likes of Frisch and “jonnie”. You should thank me.

Yep, I took a big risk, I made mistakes, I lost a lot of money, and I paid every penny back over the next 8 years. Unlike some other people I know 🙂
I learned some very valuable lessons, and as an entrepreneur, I applied those lesson, and became more successful. Isn’t that what we are supposed to do?
Jon, you asked previously about how I can come here and occasionally fight these idiots. The answer is there is nothing they can say that can hurt me personally. I know who I am, and I don’t need Todd or Greg, who revel in hurting people, to know myself.
I suspect they will never know themselves, or if they do what they see in the mirror will not make them happy.

If the advocates are using numbers in those ranges when claiming power we must also consider the implications. Does any one really think Jey Jonson the DHS boss is a fount of so called facts that have not been filtered by the west wing? No one has a real number because we do not track visa expirations and family migration. We have no real boarder controls and the Union for the Boarder Agents have a different view from yours. We do not even do background checks anymore. We are taking ‘refugees’ from high conflict nations with no background check since we have no resources in Syria or any of them. WOW ‘jon’ is diverting from Frisch.

Hummm can’t do that great in business,, become a professional beggar.
Fill out a few forms and the GOV forks it over. give others a song and dance ( those looking for a tax deduction) and they fork over a few bucks.
And all in the name of “non profit”. (except for the obscene “paycheck” for running it)
It takes a special individual to be able to sleep at night that can take other people’s money and give nothing back of substance in return.
At least what I have done to make a buck will stand the test of time, and be functional, and useful long after I meet my maker. My ditches will still flow water, and the roads I have built will still be passable. Yup, even houses will stand on the foundations I made for them.

    You threatening to sue me?
I am looking at the Nevada County Court database and I see 22 court actions for Todd Juvinall, 14 of which where you are the defendant, 5 of which where you are the plaintiff, 2 of which appear to be divorces, and the remainder some kind of family law. The first one was on 7/6/87. The last 6/1/2015. 11 of them were in the 1990’s. Looks like one of them was a probate issue so I guess you get a pass for that, so OK, 21 🙂
The only one open is for collections, with you as the defendant, for between $10,000-$25,000. Your court date is 12/14/2015.
I guess any reader could just look it up here:

I’m much more of a lurker than a poster on RR, and I must admit that one reason I am is that I have a hard time injecting my thoughts into discussions that are as freewheeling as those on this blog. The sandbox concept is great, but I find its lack of structure and focus is one of the major reasons I choose to listen more than I talk.
George has asked the question whether the sandboxes would be more valuable if they were constrained to a single topic or small group of related topics. I for one would welcome that change.
Don’t get me wrong. This is a great blog. If it weren’t, I wouldn’t bother to read it daily. But if it were a little more focused, I would probably contribute to it more often than I currently do.

Just popped in to see Whatz Happenin’ and read only the last dozen or so comments. Hey, some of you guys really suck big time. Nelson Bunker Hunt drilled dry holes and lost a ton of his daddy’s money and was almost blackballed from the Hunt family and even kicked out of any chance of running any part of the family business until….until he scraped together some funds and hit oil in Libya. Abe Lincoln opened a tavern with a partner and it went belly up and cost him big time digging himself out of that hole.
What’s the stats? Something like 70% of start up restaurants fail within the first 18 months. Businesses fail all the time, past, present, and future. It’s the nature of the beast. You don’t bat 1,000 %. The Babe lead the league in home runs and strikeouts. Met Don Sutton when he just got signed by the Dodgers and was staying at a family friend’s house in the guest bedroom before he ever threw a pitch in the Majors. Don went on to chalk up the most wins over his long career in Major League history….and the most losses, It is what we learn from our failures that makes up. We (some of us) learn and grow by adversity,. A good hard kick in the rear is one step forward and nothing like getting the wind knocked out of you to get your attention and have ya quit trying to move that 20 ton boulder by slamming your head against it.
I am siding with Steve on this one, Todd. Only one DUI? He learned after one. That’s amazing. It took me several more times than once in handcuffs to have the lightbulb go on. I lost count of the times I woke up on a C-mint floor, but I digress.
I don’t care how many times any one of us spent a night or month, or some years in jail, the pokie, the slammer, the Big House or the Clink. We just keep trying until we get it right. If I am chowing on streak and lobster every night, then I am doing something wrong and not learning nothin’. Pain and getting sick and tired of being stick and tired is the catalyst for change and to turn things around,. You guys suck. Well, I suck too.
You know who else sucks? The unions. Fuck them.

Nice non-denial denial by Frisch once again. The particular “failure to pay payroll taxes” was what the IRS generally calls “tax fraud”. You deducted taxes from employees paychecks and didn’t give them to the government… that’s not failure to pay payroll taxes, that’s diverting taxes paid by your employee’s back into your business. Fraud… you lied to your employees, you lied to the government. Congrats regarding the 8 year payback, in the end the IRS wants the money more than they want your sorry ass in jail, which, I suspect, was an alternative.
Declining revenue and declining assets are the story told by the SBC’s tax returns, and the political climate for the rents you are seeking won’t be getting better. Enjoy the ride. My passengers always do.

Todd you and your friends have made trashing other posters here a blood sport. You get what you give.
    Let’s re-cap from yesterday.
I posted to correct Don’s wildly exaggerated statement that there were 30-40 million illegal aliens in the US.
Todd supported Don’s number by quoting Telemundo journalist Jorge Ramos and saying the he said there were 40 million illegal aliens in the US.
I tracked down the original interview and proved that that is not what Ramos said, and Todd refused to acknowledge that he was wrong.
I asked Don to back up his number and instead he quoted a Heritage Foundation study on the cost of illegal aliens in the US.
I asked him to post his original source from Heritage so I could check the numbers they used for illegal aliens. Don posted multiple times after that never posting the source as requested.
I tracked down the original Heritage source and proved that Don was wrong.
Todd and Greg attacked my record in business, a record I have never hidden from anybody, have spoken about publicly, and acknowledge as a valuable learning experience.
I cited Todd’s multiple court cases over the years as an example of a guy who is serially flawed, and unlike me, never seems to learn from his mistakes.
    Todd threatened to sue me.
I posted Todd’s official Nevada County Court record and provided my source to back up my statement, and demonstrate that Todd had lied when he said he had not had any cases in the 1990’s.
By the way to close the loop on Paul’s comment, and since Todd is so intent on using my past as a cudgel, what I heard from anecdotal sources about Todd’s firing or resignation from CABPRO was that he was fond of pain killers and incapable of doing his job after getting beat up in the driveway of his house by a cuckolded husband or boyfriend, which he characterized on his blog as ‘his back injury.” Now that is just what I heard so it may not be true.
It seems to me that what we have here are two serial liars and chronic exaggerators who, when challenged, can’t back up what they say.
I am not going to spend my day doing this. I am going to watch the Giants game and get a jump on my work week.

So Todd, I posted the original interview segment you referenced, which supports my point, but here is a second, from BREITBART, that supports what I have been saying as well.
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/05/26/jorge-ramos-admits-true-feelings-to-ann-coulter-no-limit-to-number-of-mexicans-allowed-into-america%E2%80%A8/
Here is the actual text in the Breitbart article:
Earlier in the interview, Coulter and Ramos sparred about the numbers of illegal aliens in America right now. After noting how he and Coulter were going to have an “honest debate,” Ramos started it off by saying to her: “your numbers are wrong.”
“You are saying on page—right here, on page 72—that the real number of undocumented immigrants is 30 million,” Ramos said to Coulter.
    “Yes,” Coulter replied.
    “It isn’t,” Ramos followed up.

You simply cannot admit when you are wrong….like a fuc#ing 12 year old boy.
