   I love conspiracy theories cause they are impossible to prove and no one is talking. That is why we call them conspiracy theories.
   Get this. All the hot dog vending carts were pulled the morning of 9/11. Imagine NYC without hot dog carts or coffee street vendors for the morning rush hour! The hot dog peddlers were tipped off, but no other workers in NYC. Love conspiracy theories. BTY, rumor has it that Little Oscar was seen fleeing away in his Weinniemobile driving erratically and at a high rate just 90 minutes before the attacks. He was arrested later for driving down the wrong side of the road with his Weinniemobile waggin’.

   Yep…both sides prefer their own flavor of conspiracy theory……Agenda 21….that’s just crazy talk. But Bush knew all about the 9/11 attacks….well that’s just a prudent and reasonable assessment of the facts at hand.

   I never said that Bush knew, What I said was that we had a massive failure of security and it was on his watch.
   Well George somebody must have created Agenda 21 for a predetermined purpose that you claim has infiltrated the land use and environmental decision making process of even little Counties in California. That sounds like a conspiracy to me. Why do you say it isn’t?

    PaulE 345pm – You really need to look up the definition of ‘conspiracy’ Paul, or quit using the word. A21 is no more a conspiracy than is the desire to reform the US tax code. Both initiatives have been widely publicized and have their pro- and an-tagonists. There is nothing hidden about A21 other than the missing intelligence of those who cannot match progressive public policies with what was prescribed by A21 and the open work of its ICLEIs since then.
    Agenad21 was launched at a very public UN conference in South America, and signed by many world leaders including Bush1. It’s progress in the land over the last 25 years is exactly according to the means intended. No conspiracy involved, only ignorance that doesn’t let people connect the dots of what seem like disparate and/or independent public policies (laws, regs, codes, …) being implement across the land.
    For the more attentive readers who may recently have joined RR, this blog has an entire category of posts devoted to the genesis, care, and feeding of the UN’s Agenda21. Yet, as we can see, tying this initiative to what is happening all around us is a very difficult undertaking for many.

    Paul, here is a short history of Agenda 21 from BEHIND THE GREEN MASK: UN Agenda 21. Note that member of the Nevada County Staff have been to Agenda 21 implementation sessions when they attended ICLEI training classes.
    UN Agenda 21 policies date back to the 1970’s but it got its real start in 1992 at the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro when President Bush signed onto it along with the leaders of 178 other countries. Because it is a ‘soft law’ it did not have to be ratified by the Congress.
    The following year President Clinton began to implement it by creating the President’s Council on Sustainable Development (PCSD). Made up of cabinet level government officials, captains of industry (including Ken Lay of Enron), and non-profit groups such as the Sierra Club, one of the first tasks of the PCSD was to give a multi-million dollar grant to the American Planning Association to design a legislative guidebook to be used as a blueprint for every city, county, and state in the United States in order to implement UN Agenda 21.
    This document, called Growing Smart Legislative Guidebook: Model Statutes for Planning and the Management of Change, took seven years to complete, and a full nine years to arrive at the final version. The guidebook, and it’s not just a guidebook but a blueprint, contains sample legislation, ordinances, rules, regulations and statutes to be incorporated into the General Plans of every single city and county in the United States. By 2002 every planning department and every local, state, and federal department that governs land use had a copy and was implementing the practices. Every university, every college, every junior college, private school and teaching institution in our nation was using Growing Smart in its curriculum. Sound familiar? Growing Smart is Smart Growth.

    George, to the extent that you believe that A21 is part of the plan to create world sociologist government that qualifies it in my mind to being a conspiracy to achieve a goal that was not part of the public record. I’m sure you believe that the end results of A21 is harmful
    Here is part of a Webster definition of conspiracy
    “a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.
    “a conspiracy to destroy the government”

    PaulE 749pm – I and other reasonable people on both sides of the ideological aisle don’t believe anything more about A21 than what its published documents openly state in its declaration and objectives. Calling A21 a conspiracy makes about as much sense as calling vaccinating kids a conspiracy. Claiming that A21 is a “secret plan” is an affliction of fevered brains. As I said in my 550pm, you don’t seem to have a clue about my position on A21, although it’s been published here and debated for years.
    The only part that you somehow were able to connect is my belief that “the end results of A21 is(sic) harmful”. But I also believe the end results of Obamacare to be harmful, even though that atrocity may qualify as a conspiracy since its true impact has been revealed to us bit by piece over the last years.

    “We’ve had a very positive set of discussions, and we are in my opinion close to reaching an agreement on Trade Promotion Authority,” said committee Chairman Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)………..Under these rules, the deals cannot be amended or obstructed by procedures, and they get a simple up-or-down vote.
    That fast track authority would likely pave the way for both the controversial Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement with the European Union, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership with a dozen Asian nations. Both deals are larger than NAFTA.”

    Todd 10:04 — Did you also know that Brock was gay and worked as chief propaganda writer for the Heritage Foundation before starting Media Matters? He wrote the book that defamed Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings. He also came up with the “trooper gate” story about state troopers fetching women for Bill Clinton when he was governor, and started the whole “whitewater” scandal that cost the American tax payers $48m for nothing illegal. Brock later admitted both stories were based on unsubstantiated non-vetted rumor and were “for hire” propaganda hit pieces paid for by Heritage. His job was to find “anything” that would hurt the Clinton’s image and accidentally stumbled across the whole Monica Lewinski affair. When he was outed by a jealous ex-lover and the Republican party dumped him like a hot potato he wrote the book “Blinded by the Right” exposing the Heritage Foundation as a propaganda source rather than a research organization. He then started Media Matters and Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (fair.org.) to counter the right wing propaganda machine. His latest effort is to catalogue everything any republican candidate for a major office says, fact check it, and create a database so people can check out if or how much they lie.

    Thanks JoeK for making my point that Brock is a fool and a traitor to any rational belief. He worked at the American Spectator not the AEI as you stated as I recall. Anyone that is as unhinged as Brock is not believable. But now he is a person that can really lie about anything. If you support him and Media Matters than you are very misguided.
