News has it that the cop killer is a twice deported illegal Mexican.
So it goes without saying the AR15 he used was procured illegally. ( stolen?)
So lay the blame at the feet of “O” and Illegal sympathizer, Gov. Moonbeam.
They should have shot the somebitch and saved us the time and trouble of a trial.
You can bet your ass he will plead “not guilty”. The defense att. will make out like a bandit in defense fees.
And of course the anti gun kooks will bring up how “assault rifles” need to be banned.LikeLike

Walt, good to see ya back in the saddle. Bet your bones are aching. If fence jumpers are tackled to the ground and dogs set loose on them at the White House and jailed ( with no bail), then why aren’t the fence jumpers along our borders treated the same?
Speaking of the cost and scarcity of ammo:

The criminal who shot multiple California sheriff’s deputies on Friday, killing two, originally told authorities that he was Marcelo Marquez of Salt Lake City. Fingerprint analysis has since revealed that his actual name is Luis Enrique Monroy-Bracamonte, and he already has a lengthy history with ICE.
He has been deported twice, but he returned:
It seems that even after having been identified by immigration officials and actually apprehended and deported twice, he was able to return through the revolving door. And having done so, he could get a license, a vehicle, various odd jobs, and the freedom to continue moving around across at least two states and continue conducting whatever “business” it was that he was up to when he crossed paths with the sheriffs. Whatever that business was, I highly doubt it was limited to things such as traffic tickets or he wouldn’t have reacted this violently when confronted by the law.LikeLike

Oh Russ, bet he was innocently collecting donations for The Widows and Orphans Society when some mean racist told me he needs permission to set up a booth at the mall. So, he had a bad day. Don’t we all have bad days? We all should be more understanding and not rush to judgement. We must reach out to the poor who have no voice in this society. Always remember our nation’s history of 4000 years of racism and how we herded the Native Americans into compounds and treated women like cattle, not to mention the illegal war with Mexico that resulted in the US seizing California and a large hunk of desert.
With all this blood on our hands, who are we to condemn this victim of our capitalism pig society? We must be more enlighten and see the big picture. Have a good Juan. 🙂LikeLike

Thanks guys for the good thoughts. This is the health issue I have been dealing with for the last two years, lots of downtime. Also why I have had so much time to spend on blogs. I have dropped all my volunteerism and most of my work to be able to make the never ending doctor appointments. I am doing everything possible to have a good outcome to my unexplainable cancer. No matter what the outcome there will be no regrets because we tried everything we could. We have people praying from all major religions and non religions(collective energy) from Asia, Israel, India, Europe, Australia and all over the US.
Just because I was handed a 73% five year chance of death sentence doesn’t mean I can’t take a punch. I wouldn’t want you guys to take it easy on me because of an illness but rather out of respect. I came here to fight and hopefully find common ground about the issues but as I wrote many times it becomes about the person not the issues to much of the time. So I decided to leave it alone because that is not the person I want to be.
Thanks again, I have entered into the top 1% of a different kind. I have been responding almost perfectly to all the treatments so far due to the overall good health I am in. All those years of eating right, exercise, no smoking/ drugs, and my relative young age are giving me a much better chance than the official prognosis.
Love,
BenLikeLike

Walt 950am – Good pick up; this announcement has also been going on in the emails. What we now witness is the crickets’ response from the Left to this and the accounting of who on which side gave how much. My guess is that, ignoring reality, they will continue accusing the Right of being the major money side in politics as they have for decades. But then what else is new?

Good call Walt. The envelop please. And the winner with one vote shy of the 100 vote mark is from our co-sponsor of the video contest!, with 99 votes. In 2nd place with a measly 6,700 votes is……EVIL.
I have been following the New Hampshire senate race as a quasi crystal ball to what will happen on Nov. 4th. I present this for your consideration: The incumbent has been considered a shoo-in.
1). NH residents like those with deep NH roots. The Dem senator has wide support with a likable personality. The Republican challenger Scott Brown is a carpetbagger from Massachusetts. Carpetbaggers can win in liberal New York, but it’s a harder road to hoe in NH.
2). NH is more in tune to foreign affairs and national security issues are important to residents of the Granite State. Might help Brown.
3). Although Senator Sheenan is running from Obamacare, the law is not popular in NH. Ten hospitals have shuttered their doors going under because of Obamacare. No big deal in California, but ten hospitals in a small state is a big deal. Might help Scot Brown.
4). In 1945, NH adopted as it’s state motto Live Free or Die. Independent thinkers with a libertarian streak. We will see how much has changed in NH since 1945.
I bring this up because Brown the Carpetbagger should be 11-14 down against the mostly popular female Senator. But Brown is closing the gap, trailing 46-41, approaching the margin of error. I do not expect Brown to win, but if he loses by just 2 points, it will spell a long night for my friends across the aisle.LikeLike
-
Speaking of carpetbaggers,,, word has it Mooochel may run for election to take Babs Boxer’s seat next time around! Does that mean Moochy is planning to move to Ca.? A page right out of ” Businesses don’t create jobs” Clinton, who carpetbagged her way into her elected position.

Our Government at WORK: EX-CBS REPORTER SHARYL ATTKISSON: Government agency bugged my computer:
She speculates that the motive was to lay the groundwork for possible charges against her or her sources.
Attkisson says the source, who’s “connected to government three-letter agencies,” told her the computer was hacked into by “a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”
The breach was accomplished through an “otherwise innocuous e-mail” that Attkisson says she got in February 2012, then twice “redone” and “refreshed” through a satellite hookup and a Wi-Fi connection at a Ritz-Carlton hotel.
The spyware included programs that Attkisson says monitored her every keystroke and gave the snoops access to all her e-mails and the passwords to her financial accounts.
“The intruders discovered my Skype account handle, stole the password, activated the audio, and made heavy use of it, presumably as a listening tool,” she wrote in “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington.”
Should be an very interesting read, given the depth of the Obama scandals. Kindle version on Amazon on 4 November 2014.LikeLike

Russ, that one makes me ill. Spying on reporters? Like, this is 2014, not 1972. Wonder which unmentioned 3 letter agency got a judge to sign off on that one? No Nat’l Security issues or criminal law enforcement concern apparent. No reason to spy on a reporter who was asking tough questions of The White House (TWH) and honest reporting. Why did a judge authorize the wire tap a couple of years ago, or did he/she? Could it be political revenge, could it Wally? If she has not been audited yet or her parents harassed and tailed by now, then it wasn’t the IRS. They been rather preoccupied lately anyway. The TWH probably wanted a heads up before any CBS broadcast, just like the TWH wanted to find out what was going on in the minds of political opponents resulting in Watergate.
So, last week obama found a welcome mat and went to stump in deep blue Maryland for the Dem gov. It made news when some unpatriotic ungrateful black voters headed for the exits when O got the chance to lead the pep rally. But, that is not the point. The real question is ‘did the Presidents appearance help, hurt or made no difference to the Dem gov? Let’s find out.

BREAKING IN THE UNION, Where is the Lefty SCOOPER?
Nevada County Supervisor and Grass Valley City Council candidate Terry Lamphier is the subject of a criminal investigation by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, according to county officials.
Nevada County CEO Rick Haffey confirmed Monday the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office has opened a criminal investigation of Lamphier.
According to Nevada County Undersheriff Joe Salivar, deputies served a search warrant on Lamphier’s home Friday morning.
“Last week, we received information from a letter delivered to the county alleging inappropriate use of a computer system,” Salivar said.
The ensuing investigation led detectives from the Major Crimes Unit to obtain a search warrant for Lamphier’s residence and vehicle, which was served Friday, Salivar said.LikeLike

RussS 620pm – We saw that this afternoon on the Union website. That is very much of a surprise to me. I know TerryL, and he has always struck me as the mild-mannered guy who would be the last to do anything wrong. But none should rush to judgment prematurely; he has been charged with nothing.
Re leftwing journalists – some things a scoopable, and others are definitely not scoopable. I leave it the readers to decide which are which.LikeLike

Well, we know it was not the pro S people, nor that south county developer who wrote that nasty letter to LE. Major Crimes Unit? The letter was probably chock full of lies. Probably written by any number of Terry’s former or present neighbors, or the ghost of Tricky Dick up to his old antics I bet. Reckon it could be aliens, or maybe it was The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that never sleeps nor rusts on the march in the shadows again. Who knows at this point? Time to lock and load and shoot the messenger.
When the dust settles in a couple of years, we might find out it was all just a practical joke. All good humor contains more than a grain of truth. To be fair and nice, let’s all hope that the good supervisor does not suffer through what the current WI gov Scott Walker has been through concerning bogus campaign allegations, year after year since he halted the practice of government collecting union dues from employee’s pay checks. No, it can’t happen here. Terry has union support. Interesting times, bro.LikeLike

Barry, proof that we are better than that to plaster stories and speculation all over town like they would do to you. Even if charges are filed, it will be at least 22 months until we know the outcome. Until then, TL is innocent until proven otherwise.
Whatever happens, the letter delivered to the county contained enough yet unproven allegations that LE Major Crimes Unit had enough probable cause to seek and obtain a sealed search warrant from a judge who also found probable cause. Rest assured that it did not have anything to do with guns or drugs (Major Crime Unit’s usual stuff), but something traceable on the county’s computer. More than just a protocol violation, something to do with access orz unlawful viewing of sites I reckon…or…..well, we will never regret taking Dr. Rebane’s wise advice and wait and see until all (if any) evidence is produced or charges even filed. This advice we will not regret ever. The Wheels of Justice spin slowly and for a good reason. My speculation is over.
if one wishes to speculate before all the facts are in and submitted to the engine of cross examination, start with looking at the history of cases that the Major Crime Unit has been involved in concerning unlawful conduct on a computer. I am not going to touch this with a stolen dick. We are better than than, even a jerk such as I.
Just another October surprise in a long line of October surprises for now.LikeLike

Politics aside, doesn’t anyone think it is odd that the Lamphier story is NOT behind the paywall like everything else at the Union, or that someone “tipped off” the sheriff with a letter (anonymous?) and the DA knows nothing (“Sgt. Schultz?), and we won’t know more for a few weeks (conveniently after the elections), or that “four or five” patrol cars showed up at his house (How many cops does it take to seize a computer)? This whole thing has an odd stink to it.
“If it were me or any other Republican being investigated, you bet it would splashed and plastered all over Pelline’s little blog.”
What about being plastered all over the Union instead which has far more reach than “Pelline’s little blog”? Do you think a Republican would have gotten he same treatment at the Union?LikeLike
-
Sorry Joe, there are plenty of local stories of immediate concern that are not pay walled.

The fact the story is not behind the paywall actually says to me that the Union is doing their public service component. Why would they keep the elected offiail of all of us in a restricted area? So, I say this is the way this kind of info should be reported.

According to the noon news on KNCO is for misuse of County computers. Could it be he was running his campaign fort Grass Valley City Council using County computer resources? There are several troubling aspects to the Lamphier case (assuming there is one).
We are told that the accusatory letter arrived last week, and that the sheriff put together enough of a case to get a search warrant and execute it on Friday.
That’s astonishing speed in a jurisdiction where people with multiple outstanding warrants can casually go about their business for months until they’re picked up, typically on a new charge. What’s the big hurry?
Did the sheriff really need to dispatch “four or five” cars to serve the search warrant Friday? You would think they were raiding a crack house. It’s a good thing Placer County didn’t need any back-up when it hunted down the accused killer of two deputies in Auburn.
On the other hand, Lamphier isn’t doing himself any favors by dodging the media and saying nothing about this. Such silence just fuels mindless speculation, as reflected in some of the comments above.
Pelline’s silence shouldn’t surprise anybody. He has given Lamphier uncritical support for four years, and now he’s in a position where he might have to admit he was wrong. He’s silent because he’s trying to figure out how he can make his acolytes forget he’s been Lamphier’s water boy.LikeLike

O boy, just read the 10 comments on the Union site. Never have signed up, so I just glanced at the first sentence. #10 is precious, priceless, and pathetic perhaps. Like them P’s. Anyway, paleface white man hater from the left calling for the State DA and a State Investigation……let me fill in the blanks without reading more…..need a investigation of Royal and pals and the whistleblower, not their boy. Yes, could be some hanky-panky going on, and 9-11 could have never happened and perhaps it was Todd on the grassy knoll that day.
The Measure S folks were mysteriously the first to comment. Is this going to be a Sam Strange case all over again where the focus was on every LE, every DA, every Judge….everyone but the target of the investigation? Maybe, maybe not. The best defense is a good offensive, Will our beloved appointed local Obama delegate to the 2009 Denver party going to tie this to Ferguson?
Mr. Boardman does raise some valid concerns and yes, timing is everything.
Wait tell they find out that it was Putin pulling the strings and messin’ with us again. Darn commie bastards. Where is the NSA when we really need them? Small town city council candidate smeared? We need Eric Holder on this along with all major networks, ASAPLikeLike

This is a Nevada County Supervisor race…not a presidential race. Simply suggesting that Sheriff Royal would use his office for a political purpose is plain aluminum foil hat stuff. The local liberals have truly become unhinged to even suggest impropriety on the sheriff’s part…let alone proclaim it as they are doing. Sheriff Royal is a good man. Let’s just allow the process to unfold on its natural course without the conspiracy theories.

Mr. Boardman; yes, TL may not be doing himself any favors by remaining mum and not making any public statements. That is in the political arena. However, any lawyer worth his grit would tell TL to keep his pie hole shut. The lawyer should order, command, plead, strongly suggest that absolutely no talking to the press in any form, shape, or method, including print, radio, or internet. That is in the personal arena. In fact, no talking to any human period. Go rent a cabin in the woods until you hear from me. Stay off the phone.
Yes, he may not be doing himself any favors by dodging the press politically, but he sure a heck won’t do himself any favors by taking to the press in legal terms. The Court of Public opinion is miles apart from Court of Legal Opinion, of which the latter is the one that matters most.LikeLike

That is a fact. If it is real, keep your mouth shut…that is until the lawyer can prepare a statement for you.

On the Union:
Nevada County District 3 Supervisor Terry Lamphier is the subject of an investigation pertaining to the alleged possession of child pornography on county-owned computers, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
In response to a joint public records request filed by The Union and YubaNet.com, sheriff’s office officials released an Internet browser history that was allegedly discovered on Lamphier’s computer. That history included websites with photographs depicting girls between 6-10 years of age engaged in sexual acts.
Lamphier has not been arrested or charged in connection with the investigation. The Union has been unable to reach him for comment.LikeLike

The Union second paragraph has been updated to read:
“In response to a joint public records request filed by The Union and YubaNet.com, sheriff’s office officials released an Internet browser history that was allegedly discovered on Lamphier’s computer. That history included websites with inapporopriate photographs depicting girls between 6-10 years of age. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal declined to answer questions over whether the girls were shown as engaged in sexual acts. “LikeLike

Well,,, TL could always post under an assumed name or two like someone else we know that was/is in hot water with said “G” man. The urge to vent and clear a “friends” name is sometimes too much to resist.
But Barry is right on the mark. I happen to have a lawyer in a civil case who has threatened to cut my tongue out if I dare speak my mind to “the other guy”.( like cutting his balls off and feeding them to his puny pooches, He’s so much of an Ahole he has two, due to his colostomy.) But Nope,, gotta stay civil. Now that is rough for me as ya’ all might know.LikeLike
