Typepad has been having problems this morning.  Many readers have had trouble logging in to the comments – no comment window appears.  Had the same problem myself this morning, yet others seem to have no problem.  Have reported problem to Typepad.  Keep trying and report your success under this post.  Thanks.

[17oct12 update]  Had no problem logging in to comments this morning.

[17oct12 more update]  Have made comment log in optional, and added a random character widget that you need enter if you don't log in.  Please let me know how that works.  Russ Steele tested it, and it seems to work as TypePad advertizes it.
