Just so that everyone understands that the ideas debated on RR are not without consequence, I want to remind everyone that I have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild – Lucy Pearl, the little darlin that you see below. What we talk about in these pages is important, and doubly so for her and her parents. I don’t do this just to pound my pud. It is part of the legacy that all who contribute here leave for whatever search engines may excavate these thoughts tomorrow or generations from now. In these times, this is what we thought and said. It’s good to reflect on that because you also, dear reader, have to consider your own arrows into the future. To the extent that your contributions mold and express your worldview, our chatter is not idle.
