Both sides have cranked up their propaganda machines since the 28feb26 start of the Iran war. The Right can’t do enough happy dancing to celebrate the military operation’s success, and the Left has seen nothing but an illegal, pointless, and ineffective offensive that has failed to resolve any of the claimed issues for which the hostilities were launched by Israel and the US. Both sides are misrepresenting what is obvious from the unadorned reports about the goings on over the last month.
The latest load of bullshit is being shoveled about the much heralded 2-week cease-fire that was supposed to stop the missiles and drones, and open up Hormuz to the 400+ ships that have been bottled up in the Persian Gulf since the shooting started. Well, none of that has happened. And it is not a surprise to your intrepid commentator and to everyone else with a 3-digit IQ who has been paying attention.
Iran continues to fire missiles into Israel and the gulf states, and is keeping the strait closed while telling the world that some dubious negotiations are ongoing. The only sucker at the table again is the US since we are the only ones who cancelled the ‘back to the Stone Age’ operation and have stood down our military hostilities. President Trump is again being taken for a naif about his foreign policies and dealing with the lying and murderous ragheads in Iran. The administration does not even know who they are dealing with and whether these guys are in charge of anything at all.
The proper way to have launched the cease fire according to Rebane Doctrine is to state that we will start a measured attack on their infrastructure, as previously promised, and escalate it until the strait is opened and ships are freely passing through. The initial targets would be the major bridges, roads, and railways in and around Tehran. This would then serve as a constant reminder to the thousands of Iranians who are now demonstrating in the streets in support of the regime by burning US and Israeli flags and continuing to shout ‘Death to America’ etc.
If the strait stays closed, we start taking out power distribution facilities in the cities and create transportation choke points between the cities. Power generation stations are next on the list, and last come the oil/gas pipelines, then storage sites, and finally the refineries. The main concept here is that they take the next de-escalation steps first, and then we immediately respond with appropriate stand-downs. But we never go first.
That Team Trump is not able to execute such an effective response continues to give credibility to the anti-American Left (aka Democrats), and create doubt and consternation in the ranks of Trump’s supporters. So what cease-fire are they talking about, and who do you think is again the Patsy du Jour?
