[Our liberal readers who only get told a highly biased half of the news never encountered any statements by the Democratic leadership vowing to fundamentally transform America from a constitutional republic to something like a Marxist socialist democracy coded as a ‘progressive society’.  In doing elementary research we can start with Obama’s 30oct08 campaign rally at the University of Missouri where he first stated,  “After decades of broken politics in Washington, and eight years of failed policies from George W. Bush, and 21 months of a campaign that’s taken us from the rocky coast of Maine to the sunshine of California, we are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Check also statements by Sanders, AOC, et al. gjr]

Trump sinking to new lows on RCP consensus job approval polls. He’s down to -15.6 approval. That’s the average of 16 polls. How low can he go? Any speculations?

The Drag Queen polling population appears to be larger than one might expect.

    oopsie.

If you spend a few minutes research, it’s pretty obvious how poor security is generally on every OS…phones, computers, embedded. Just imagine the fun when all this AI stuff is firmly applied to the problem of taking over someone else’s bit of gear.

Of course, the permanence (and ease of copying) of digital records might occur to somebody, but it doesn’t. The FBI taking sides in a Presidential campaign (Peter Strzok/Lisa Page for two) comes to mind. In a world filled with intelligent and careful people, I’d never have learned about it, but these are government bureaucrats after all.

The Russian push for going back to paper makes a lot of sense, although I think the real growth will be in keeping systems offline.

More important than this ongoing poll nonsense…..I provide Paul Raymond something interesting….that Trumps own have started to turn and that something actionable might be in the offing and nothing….bupkis!

    And alas….my fault! Wrong link….Crap!

“barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen?…”

It’s an odd choice really. Be useful at home raising decent children? or get a useless girl-job in government or a large company being a ‘project manager’ or a HR harridan. They both have their minuses.

Heard at home. Some announcement on the radio about NO KINGS! at Brunswick, and being assured it would be peaceful. “PEACEFUL?! HELL, THEY CAN HARDLY WALK!”

I realize this has nothing to do with Wimmens Rights or psul’s Trump Fetish, but I did have to be (not) surprised.

So…in Old Blighty, the gubmint heavily subsidized/encouraged people to get spray foam in their house. Fast forward a few years and they’re unmortgageable.

‘Spray foam insulation ruined our house sale’

Every time I hear some county girl-job official on KNCO talking about all the great things you have to do, for yer own good, I think of the jillion rules that get cooked up every year. You guys should watch the Adam Carolla videos where he checks out the ‘rebuilding’ going on in LA. The $2.5M foundation on the beach house always makes me laugh and laugh.

The Blue Pimple, as George likes to call Nevada County, had a great turnout today with thousands showing up to declare their independence from Trump. The Repubs certainly don’t embarrass themselves with attempting anything like that. Nevada County is certainly a Solid Blue rural county in California and will continue to grow in that direction as long as Trump is President. Thanks Trump for enabling this to happen.

psul: “Nevada County is certainly a Solid Blue rural county in California “

I think I’d agree with that. It takes a mob with signs in a show of force to signal how independent-minded the citizens can be. Nothing beats a hivemind to display the best of humanity.

The NCERC is a good example of that. After the decline of mining, timber, tech manufacturing, warehousing, and most anything else that’s useful, you end up with people from the hospital, government, real estate. I suppose there’s enough Social Security and retirement savings flowing into the place that it can stay afloat, but it does lead you into a Blue Party death spiral of old people and Chinesium gift shoppes.

also psul: “with thousands showing up to declare their independence from Trump.”

roflmao. Utter nonsense of course, but that’s KVMR Action News for you.

Even Nevada County Democrats, part of this whole No Kings astroturf deal (along with the normal big money suspects) said “Today in Grass Valley, hundreds showed up—not for power, but for principle”

My guess is that you’re talking 80 or so people feeling that big surge of righteousness being all filled with goodness and everything.

So, ‘thousands’? Maybe a hundred different towns with 25 people at each one.

You got that right – Only Dems and lefty bobble-heads turn out for meaningless marches. Everyone already knows that you hate Trump – beyond that it’s just “hooray for us”. There can hardly be anything more embarrassing than being in a crowd of useful idiots.

scotto: “beyond that it’s just “hooray for us”

It is a strange thing. Obviously, there’s zero point in all of this in terms of convincing others, so it’s mostly just an in-group thrill kind of deal. I suppose the now-moribund Tea Party had that sort of vibe, although you can imagine the insane uproar if a bunch of militant Orange Man folks showed up with pro-actually enforcing immigration law signs. Cries of ‘Nazi’ would be heard throughout the land.

These protests genuinely interest me. It’s going to be a concoction of overweight gender-confused kids, foreign nationals and their relatives (which actually makes sense), and soon-to-age-out ‘activists’. Locally, this last group is a natural side-effect of a dying small town filling up with Keyboard-American retirees. If nothing else, it gives them a break from writing Other Voices columns.

rh: “Re: No Kings Day – How was the turnout in the U.K.?”

That actually makes some sense. What an embarrassment Elizabeth II’s children have been, and even if competent, their interest in protecting the English nation from being overrun by the Third World is basically nil.

Stick a fork in the place. Time to plan for removing nuclear weapons and transporting the museums to somewhere safe…move the statues first.

Luckily, it appears that even JHKunstler got to watch the revelry:

“Went to the No Kings assemblies in my town and the next nearby town on Saturday. Mental illness as far as the eye could see. Old folks, too, as far as the eye could see, predominately of the female persuasion: the devouring grandmothers. The Democratic Party has marshalled mental illness as its premier campaign strategy, and lately it is winning bigly around the country as mental illness becomes the go-to cope option for the ragged remnants of Boomerdom.”

Ragged Remnants of Boomerdom might be a great name for a cover band.

Clearly the perfect choice for the Governor of California….! Add to this his ties to Chinese intelligence and the fact that he’s never held a private sector job any more taxing than working in fast food and you have the man who is clearly the most qualified candidate to lead California into the same era as the last mediocrity to occupy the office!

    .

Eric Swalwell’s finances show cash crunch, delayed taxes, large child care tab

    .

Must be nice to be able to “”delay” taxes…..!

I haven’t followed Artemis much but thought I’d idly spend a few moments checking out the gear.

Typical gubmint sort of thing (SLS = $2B / launch, SpaceX Starship = $100M/launch, headed for $2M-$10M) but whatever. It keeps the spice flowing through the system.

I did like this phrase from the Font of Truth, Wikipedia:

“On the mission’s first day, Glover became the first person of color, Koch the first woman, and Hansen the first non-U.S. citizen to travel beyond low Earth orbit. As planned, the mission will make Glover the first person of color, Koch the first woman, and Hansen the first non-U.S. citizen to travel to the vicinity of the Moon. “

roflmao. Thank God for NASA keeping it’s head straight on the truly important things. If they’d launched transgender midgets of color, I’ll bet the cost could have been reduced somewhat.
