Do you think it would be OK for an ICE officer to refuse to follow an order to tear a car with a baby in it? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/11/ice-agents-pepper-spray-man-baby-daughter

I don’t know who gave the order Scott but it happened. It is documented . If he was given an order to do so do you think he should have refused to do it? If he wasn’t given an order should he be arrested for it? I believe if he was given the order he should have refused and if he wasn’t he should be arrested and held responsible.

So Scott there are three possible scenarios in this situation: One is that the sprayer was ordered to do so. Another is that he did it on his own with no instructions to do so and the last one is that it never happened and is a lie. Which do you subscribe to or do you have another option?

How do you know there was an order?
Do you find it odd that 2 different people inside the car were already aiming at the truck before the truck even pulled along side? I’ve seen 2 different vids of the event and one was taken from the back seat and another probably from the front passenger position. Why were they both videoing the truck before anything untoward happened?
You actually have no damn idea that anyone ordered an ICE agent to spray babies and you have no idea who was in the truck.
But that doesn’t stop you from assuming all sorts of wild tales about ICE agents ordered to pepper spray babies.

I honestly think that it’s old age some to some extent. A combination of risk aversion (odd, since the elderly don’t have as many years to guard), a bit of mental degradation, increasing isolation over time even in the case of a bar musician. There’s probably some known old age side effect that involves believing stories and inventing little tropes to explain the world. Symbols trump reality at some point.

Our dear, most corrupt, self-dealing, immoral, unethical President ever…and local Ruminator hero at work …
“Trump Pardoned Nursing Home Fraudster After $960,000 Lobbying Push: Report
Trump pardoned a nursing home tycoon convicted of fraud after two other men — also convicted of fraud — were paid almost $1 million to lobby the Trump administration for clemency, The Washington Post reported Sunday.
The bizarre story, which sheds light on the pardoning process in Trump’s second term, revolves around Joseph Schwartz, who was sentenced in April to three years for defrauding the government of $38 million.
The conviction was secured by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, which was led by Alina Habba, Trump’s former defense lawyer, at the time of the sentencing.
Schwartz was given a “full and unconditional” pardon by Trump earlier this month after Schwartz paid $960,000 to lobbyists Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, according to The Post.
Burkman and Wohl, both well-known right-wing agitators, have themselves been convicted of telecommunications fraud.
Legal experts told The Post that the pardon raises concerns about the rise of “a special tier of justice for people who can afford to pay.”
A White House official denied any lobbying ties and said “any one spending money to lobby for pardons is foolishly wasting funds.”

RH is so cute when he pretends to be upset about corruption and self-dealing. But just like his claim that the Trump family is a crime family without being able to point to any criminality, here he provides no evidence of corruption on Trump’s part.
“Legal experts told The Post that the pardon raises concerns about the rise of “a special tier of justice for people who can afford to pay.””
“Legal experts”? All of whom would request they are not named because they would all be mocked out of the legal profession for having stated such bilge.
The idea that there exists a “special tier of justice” only now being elevated with the swearing in of D. J. Trump is laughably moronic and stupidly dishonest.

Since I actually look into the facts, I discover that once again the haters with the business acumen of a tree stump are conflating a bunch of words they don’t understand into:
“Trump! Bunch of money!
Here are the facts:
“Vulcan Elements, a rare-earth magnets startup backed by Donald Trump Jr.’s VC firm 1789 Capital, has secured a $620 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense, as reported by the Financial Times. “
I guess this is the best RH can do since he suddenly doesn’t want to talk about Epstein anymore. Or about all the ongoing corruption uncovered in California run by the Dems and our next POTUS – Gov Hair Gel.

You’re finally correct – there are no similarities in the DoD contract to a company that Trump Jr doesn’t work for and the millions that went directly to the Biden family in exchange for political favors.
And the Trumps pay their taxes to the IRS.

Ah, I see you are merely a brainwashed MAGA with no concept of how venture capital works…
…when a venture capital (VC) firm invests in a company, they receive an ownership stake, usually in the form of private stock or convertible debt, making them part-owners in exchange for funding, aiming for a high return when the company succeeds (via IPO or acquisition). They get a share of equity, diluting existing shareholders, and often gain influence through board seats or decision-making rights.
How it Works:
Investment for Equity: In return for capital, the startup issues shares to the VC firm, granting them a percentage of ownership.
Dilution: This new issuance of shares means the original founders and investors now own a smaller percentage of the company (dilution), but their shares are now part of a more valuable entity if the investment is successful.
Control & Influence: VCs often negotiate for board seats and certain control rights (like approving major spending) to protect their investment and guide growth, acting as partners.
High-Risk, High-Reward: VCs invest in high-growth potential companies, accepting that many will fail, but hoping for huge returns from a few successful ones (like Google or Uber).
In essence, the VC becomes a shareholder, owning a slice of the business with the goal of selling that slice for much more money later on. …
So when China started playing games with rare earth metals, Donnie Jr said, let’s create a vaporware company and get daddy to give us money…
see Scotto, not that hard to understand…
…but seeing as you probably believed Trump was going to get drug companies to pay you to take their drugs, enjoy your own Private Idaho.
