[First Sandbox on WordPress. It is remarkable that the conservative media ore giving a pass to the polls showing that 1 of 3 Dems consider political violence to be an acceptable expression of opposition to policies they don’t like. The lamestream is, of course, silent on the news. But were those number applicable to Repubs, they would be screaming their heads off. gjr]

Latest RCP polls show Trump with a -11 approval number with every poll showing negative numbers. It’s never been that bad and its continuing to drop. How low can he go?

The notion that the events of Jan6 indicates that MAGA (whoever that is) approves of violence is biased, ignorant, or both.

…about as biased or ignorant as some random poll of who know whom that concludes, without proof, that 33% of Dems think political violence is fine and dandy…not to mention that political violence isn’t well defined…it could mean breaking windows, or physical assault, as we saw with our own eyes as MAGAloons attacked cops and trashed our political institutions on Jan. 6.

On Jan 6th only a very small percentage of the protestors attacked law enforcement and they were roundly condemned by a vast majority of conservatives. There was absolutely no “trashing” of our political institutions. And since then you have nothing to connect Trump supporters with violence. On the left you have continued attacks against fed law enforcement egged on by Dem politicians and abetted by Dem mayors who refuse police protection.

In New Jersey they just elected a sick f**k who fantasized about killing the children of R politicians. The new Dem governor refused to condemn him for that.

I could go on and on – the left and the Dems are the party of violence against American citizens just because they don’t like them or disagree with their opinions.

We don’t even need a poll to see the reality of what depths the left and the Dems are sinking to as they try to regain the power they once enjoyed in this country.

Since I don’t live there, I can watch comfortably while the fun unfolds in NYC after the fools there elected an avowed communist (with money from Soros). Most of what he promised during his campaign probably won’t happen but the cost of high end housing will come down as those with the dough to leave, will. The rabble in the street will still be poor and the middle class will be stuck with the bill and a worsening lifestyle.

Lol, I seem to remember shooting targets with faces other than Osama Bin Laden on them. If there are some of the Democratic persuasion who believe in political violence they are also a small percentage and are condemned by the rest of the party…just like Trumpers who condemned the Jan. 6 “picnic”.

Do MAGAloons even know the definition of Democratic Socialism? You know like Trump/US government owning corporations like Intel… and community run entities like postal service, fire departments, etc.

Republicans run on chicken little fear mongering. How is a mayor going to turn ‘Murica’ into a communist state?

    Not going to happen.

We have been using ‘sliding scale’ socialism to our advantage for a long time.

Beneficial to our enemies as our country is brought to ruin financially with rioting in the streets and social unrest as an added bonus to fracture the integrity of the nation’s defense.

Beneficial as one generation after another is taught to exist as animals in a zoo waiting in their cages for their keeper (govt) to bring their food.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.– Intel Corporation today announced an agreement with the Trump Administration to support the continued expansion of American technology and manufacturing leadership. Under terms of the agreement, the United States government will make an $8.9 billion investment in Intel common stock, reflecting the confidence the Administration has in Intel to advance key national priorities and the critically important role the company plays in expanding the domestic semiconductor industry.

Imagine a linear graph with libertarianism on the left and communism on the right.
Somewhere in the middle are the Reps and Dems. We never have pure libertarianism or communism. Depending on the amount of social programs and government meddling, as a whole we ‘slide’ on way or the other.
We are a mix of both.

    Who said he will?

Zoran is a communist and he will degrade the quality of life for the citizens of NYC.

RH should really try to learn some skills in reading comprehension.

Civic services such as the PO and police and fire are positive enhancements to the benefit of everyone in the community. And they are paid for by the people that enjoy said benefits. Dems and Socialists and commies want wealth transfer and an ever-increasing reliance on the state for survival.

I don’t like govt investments in private companies like Intel but it’s hardly in any way communism.

Listening on the radio this morning, and some guy made a point I hadn’t thought of at all.

With the Prop 50 thing, ‘cuz we gotta stop that Trump dude, a funny side effect of the gerrymandering to go from very very few (R) Reps to scarcely any (R) Reps is that Nevada County will get a Congressman who doesn’t give a shit about Nevada County (or any other rural area). No doubt the new districts will pair up ruralities with big ol’ high-populated areas filled with coffee shop attendees and people on SNACK benefits.

roflmao. Gotta stop Orange Hitler, so whatever it takes I guess. Now that men-in-dresses have fallen off the radar, the Prime Directive appears to be unlimited 3rd world immigration and ya do what ya gotta do.

Anyone who views mass behavior as some sort of one dimensional continuum is a fool. I think that even giving a ‘system’ a name is kind of ridiculous. It implies understanding where none exists.

“When asked in a recent interview how the productivity gains of artificial intelligence can be evenly distributed, Geoffrey Hinton, computer scientist and ‘Godfather of AI’, replied in one word: “Socialism.”

Even AI fat-cats have hinted at socialized returns.

“I think society will very quickly say, ‘Okay, we’ve got to have some new economic model where we share that and distribute that to people,’” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told podcaster Theo Von in July. “I still am kind of excited about universal basic income where you just give everybody money,” he added.

“I don’t think we’re going to have a choice,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk in 2017 on the question of UBI.”

“Imagine a linear graph with libertarianism on the left and communism on the right.”

    Completely Bass Ackwards.

Communism, Facism, NAZIs – all on the left. Total or mostly total govt control of everything. Greens tend towards this as well.

Conservatives, and actual libertarians tend towards the least amount of govt control.

And a linear line defining all of that is a piss poor way to really get into all of the different ways citizens and govts can interact. A 3 dimensional model would be much better.

The main problem these days in this country is a complete lack of a shared understanding of reality. Or, more to the point – way too many people who have no understanding of reality opposed to those whose very livelihoods depend on understanding reality.

The car is repaired or it isn’t. The crop grows or it fails. That’s reality. Air-head theories about how we can just give stuff to people and they’ll be sooo grateful and will start being productive all on their own is horseshit. It’s called human nature. The wonderful socialist Nirvanas like Sweden did well for a while when the population was extremely non-diverse and culturally cohesive as a mostly Christian-oriented hard-working group. That’s just not the norm for most of the rest of the world.

Now we have the new mayor of NYC who thinks violence is a societal construct.

I had an art teacher in HS that quickly put that kind of BS to rest.

“c’mon on up here and I’ll give you a punch in the mouth. “

That ended that discussion on “perceived” reality.

That statement is hardly a ringing endorsement for UBI. I’m looking at the sad mess our country is becoming and probably UBI is what a majority of citizens will want in the near future. So – for the rest of us there won’t be a choice – unless it’s to leave the US. A country running on UBI will quickly degrade into a pig sty. Who’s going to get up at all hours and drive to some job they hate that keeps the lights on for everyone when they can just sit on their ass at home and get paid a “living wage” anyway?

Altman clearly has no idea of human nature or economics.

Giving out money with no value attached has already been a proven disaster since times of antiquity. But some people have no education in history.

I guess our little experiment in America with a Constitutional Republic has run it’s course and it’s time for the bread and circuses.

A handful on one day and roundly condemned by the R establishment.

As opposed to years of on-going violence by the lefty mobs cheered on by the Dem politicians and the shootings and murders and the left.

The Dems love violence when it suits their needs. Dem run cities are full of violence and the lefty and Dem judges just shoo the violent offenders back out for more.

The reason RH is such a dunce is because he reads the headlines to stupid articles.

This is literally seizing the means of production.

No, it isn’t. Trump has seized nothing and plans to seize nothing. The companies are free to say no. Trump expects the fed govt to get a return on its investments. Wow!Remember all the bailouts of large corps and banks? Zero ROI and the Dems all cheered because the unions were bailed out. Tax payers and bond holders were shafted.

What did we get from the billions in “green energy”? Bankruptcies, failed projects and very expensive electricity.

Trump is trying to get our nation going again with badly needed clean and dependable electric power.

There are no accusations. G. Soros – his son- his foundations – do actually fund all sorts of left wing causes usually with other pass-through non-profits and NGOs to try to hide where the money comes from.

Dems and Lefties love to bad mouth the wealthy all the while sucking from the Soros teat. Start with commie Mamdani. That’s what is so amusing. In the last few election cycles Soros money has helped elect some of the worse, pro-criminal DAs ever to hold office.

That “funding” was actually an investment by Soros in Bessent’s new venture. To say that Bessent is now “funded” by Soros is to imply somehow that Soros is currently giving money directly to Bessent with no expectation of financial return. If Soros invested that much with Bessent’s firm, then Bessent must be very, very, good at understanding the financial market. Glad to see him at his current position. Much better than the partisan idiots we had in the past.

“we don’t arrest U.S. citizens for immigration enforcement.”

That is a true statement. They arrest American citizens for impeding the lawful arrests of illegals and for attacking law enforcement personnel. It’s been that way for a couple of hundred years.

I remember 5 minutes ago when RH was upset about the police being attacked and now he thinks the police should be attacked.
