Trump almost gets it with Putin.  There is no need for Trump’s 50-day grace period for the thug’s decision to come to the table.  Five days would have been more than enough for Putin to tell the world how he wants to continue his war with Ukraine.  But at least our president is beginning to understand that he has been played by Putin, the mullahs, the ugly fat kid, and China’s Xi, the most clever of them all.  This ain’t New York real estate.

Polymarket is a crowd-sourced prediction website (here) that lets people bet money on the outcome of future events on all kinds of topics.  It has shown its results to be prescient way beyond what polls report, and is today in a good position to put a lot of polls out of business.  This is abetted by the recent closing of two federal investigations into its operations (here).  We see an example of the value of polls from some of our liberal commenters who have gleefully announced Trump’s downfall from polling results over most of the last decade.  Such leftwing people have never been influenced by realworld results.  Now they are planning to give communism another try in NYC.

The deportation record for illegal aliens under recent presidents is one of lamestream media’s current big lies.  They are telling their lightly read audiences that deportations of those innocent, hard-working “undocumented immigrants” was President Trump’s racist idea.  They are silent on the other presidents’ records – Obama deported 3.1M, Biden deported 3.4M, Trump has deported 1.4M.  The anti-American left (aka Democrats) do not recognize the laws that make illegal entry into the US a crime, and ALL such illegal aliens in our country criminals subject to summary deportation.  Illegal aliens do not have the complete slate of constitutional rights enjoyed by American citizens.  (more here)

[19jul25 update]  Epstein files, who is preventing their release?  It turns out that it is our legal system instead of the flood of lamestream lies that the Trump DoJ is trying to hide something that would damage the president.  The reasons for a limited release of Epstein documents involve extant legal restrictions, victim protection, and ongoing appeals.  The controversy surrounding the Trump administration’s handling of the files, including “calls for transparency” have no merit whatsoever, but just political potboilers from Democrats who have nothing besides Trump hatred to offer voters.  For more google 'Who is preventing release of Epstein files evidence?' or go here.

[22jul25 update]  Stephen Colbert’s pink slip from CBS still gives the know-nothing, late night, unfunny man ten months to spew his TDS, copy that has left him with dregs of stupid viewers while costing the network $40M in annual losses.  But what is really perverse about this is the legion of talking heads today on lamestream media, as shown on FN, who are howling that canning Colbert represents a new and dangerous level of “censorship by Trump’s authoritarian administration.”  According to their propaganda CBS has no right to avoid losses and rid itself of content that has a dwindling audience and dismal ratings.  I remind RR readers that this is another in the flood of evidence of how the intrinsically evil Democrats are trying to influence their poorly informed and undereducated constituents. (more here)

Iran’s nuclear facilities were not only “seriously damaged” but “destroyed” according to Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi as interviewed by Bret Baier on Fox News yesterday (here).  This again gives lie to the leftwing lamestream’s charges that America’s B-2s’ raid earlier this monthly was ineffective in eliminating Iran’s nuclear weaponization capability.  Their foreign minister clearly stated that “our facilities have been destroyed” (see video @ 8 minutes) and Iran’s “nuclear development has now stopped”.  Unfortunately Fox’s ongoing delinquent journalism omitted emphasizing the admission that the bombed facilities were indeed “destroyed” as reported by President Trump and subsequently mocked by the Left.

BTW, Fox News is still America’s most comprehensive, reliable, and best source of news and commentary that you can access on your TV (in spite of my constant criticisms and nitpicking their reportage).  This fact is confirmed by every metric reporting viewership composition, ratings, profitability, and balanced reporting.  And it’s further confirmed by the number of international leaders who choose a single network on which to be interviewed and communicate to the American people.  No other network comes close, most certainly not CNN and MSNBC, the lamestream’s finest examples of junk journalism, unfortunately embraced by some of RR’s leftwing readers.

It’s funny how Trump is highlighting how much of the Democratic Party’s policies you agreed with in the past.
I remember commenting here on Obama’s war on immigrants, only to be insulted that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Obama also expanded Second Amendment to be able to carry on trains and national parks. Obama was a huge fan of “Free Trade”, and bombing the shit out Muslim countries (7).
Somehow, those were all bad when Obama did it for you guys.
It is the reason I hated the Bush, Clinton, Biden, and Trump administrations. They all represent the same interests, which aren’t the ordinary person’s interests. Those working their asses off trying to keep up the gentrification of the entire planet.
I will say this to big-brain George: Take a gander at our foreign policies and see if they connect to the hellholes people are fleeing from. Since US Companies are making record profits off ruining their home countries, it seems fitting that they head to the USA. Same thing in Europe, which colonized so much to build up industrial economies, is now seeing the relatives of these ancestors coming to collect on the debt.

BenE 1046am – As most Dems are lamenting today, their policies of today are way left of what they were in the past when some common ground existed between the parties – now you guys have passed socialism and are flirting directly with communism. Don’t know of any rightwing RR readers who ever dissed you on promoting deportation of illegal aliens, do you? The record is available in these pages.
How does the onshore migration of US companies fit with the logic of your last paragraph which, of course, continues the progressive shibboleth that the USA is and has always been the bane of the world?

    Ben is back, indeed –
“Since US Companies are making record profits off ruining their home countries”
Complete with the BS he spewed before.
    Haiti?
    Somalia?
    Mexico?
    Venezuela?
These countries failed just fine all on their own.
Mexico isn’t quite a complete hell-hole (yet) but the cartels are working on it. How American companies are “ruining” Mexico by having assembly plants there is quite a mystery.
Pray tell – what American company is ruining Somalia or Haiti by making “record profits”?

People do a lot better job of emitting the typical nonsense on X than B. Emery does here.

Flag festooned pick-em-up truck owners cheer! lol
but Obama did a way better job with deportations than Drumph so far.

Trump must be very worried about Epstein if he has to declare Obama guilty of treason on public television.
    Very dick-tatorial of him.
Sad that George R. has to qualify his Faux News criticisms.

RH 715am – Thanks for highlighting another fundamental difference between those of the Left and Right. We of the Right always critically and unabashedly qualify our news sources, as opposed to those of the Left who uncritically swallow their lamestream’s media content hook, line, and sinker. This is why we consider your ilk with some trepidation as being inimical to our freedoms.

Dr. R, you never believed the Iranians when they said their nuclear program was for peaceful purposes, but you believe them now when they say their nuclear program has been destroyed. What changed?
Did Bret Baier express any skepticism after the claim at the 8-munute mark, the bare minimum I would expect from the “most comprehensive, reliable, and best source of news and commentary” on TV?
Ronald Reagan was talking about Russia, but his admonition to “Trust, but verify” applies to Iran. I look forward to day when U.S. experts are allowed to examine Iran’s nuclear facilities.

George R. – I find it hard to believe that a man of your intellect would not assume that something like this… “FN, who are howling that canning Colbert represents a new and dangerous level of “censorship by Trump’s authoritarian administration.”
…is not totally cherry-picked, biased, red meat for the MAGA true believers…
I think more believe that paying Trump’s bribe was to curry favor with Dear Leader so he would approve of the big merger.

One thing that changed is that their nuke program got destroyed. Nothing destroys like destruction.

I don’t believe anything in Iranian politician says, it’s probably a false flag operation so we think that they’re totally down in the dumps, meanwhile they are ramping up somewhere else.
Time to ‘glass’ that place over!

GeorgeB 1034am – Good question Mr Boardman. There’s nothing intrinsically inconsistent in discriminating between which claims to believe or not. We have years of evidence that Iran was developing a nuclear weapon, which evidence flies in the face of their denials. And we have sufficient evidence from current after-action analysis and knowledge of how our weapons perform to conclude that their nuclear facilities were impacted as their foreign minister described. (More confirmation to come.) In sum, they have every reason for continuing to lie about the former, and no reason to lie about the latter, especially since they claim that enriching uranium again will be Iran’s non-negotiable right.

The ever-keyboarding George Boardman: “but you believe them now when they say their nuclear program has been destroyed. What changed?”
Does it matter? or just outrage fodder as per usual? You’d think an 80 year old would get tired of gotcha questions at some point.
My take is that between US and Israeli information gathering, you can guess how far along the effort is. It’s never 0% and not allowed to be at 100%. Beyond a point, something bad happens. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Why in the hell is this so difficult to see?
