“Americans in Race for European Residency See Doors Slamming Shut”
So the Americans that can’t stand our ‘racist’ immigration policy find out the country they want to go to has the same deal.
Why not just be the illegal immigrant you champion?
They’ll give you thousands in freebies and you can parade around trashing the country you just moved to while you fly the American flag.
Right?

In discussing how to solve word problems in math with middle-schoolers, I tell them translating from English to math is the most difficult part of the problem.
Well, it seems that translating from AI-lawyerese to courtroom English has the same disconnect from reality.

The relevant term seems to be “AI hallucinations”. We’ll be hearing/seeing more of this.
Even Asimov’s revised novel, “AI, Robot”, didn’t see this coming! A bad error for him, especially since his initials are a mirror image of AI.

“However, rogue communication devices not listed in product documents have been found in some Chinese solar power inverters by U.S experts who strip down equipment hooked up to grids to check for security issues, the two people said.
Over the past nine months, undocumented communication devices, including cellular radios, have also been found in some batteries from multiple Chinese suppliers, one of them said.
Reuters was unable to determine how many solar power inverters and batteries they have looked at.”
It’s funny how opacity in modern tech leads you to weird places. Things are hidden in chips (Intel ME) or simply due to the sheer size of the thing (large FOSS software like Linux) or just about anywhere in a modern car or big piece of military gear.

Looking around, you can argue that having a President with dementia and cancer that was hidden for probably ten years is the best we deserve.
For all I know, the outrage over the billions and billions (trillions) of dollars spent on Team Blue hobby projects via gubmint and grifty non-profits maybe doesn’t matter if improvements in AI blow up the economy in some new and interesting way. Dunno if our new robot Lord and Masters will continue all the affirmative action and unlimited immigration, I guess it depends if it helps the paper clip manufacturing.

Oh well, there probably is a fair amount, although the whole non-profit and/or DEI thing that Elon’s minions were digging up is amazing.
I have to admit that I think The State is going to long outlive any attempts by E. Musk or any other Trump appointee to do any cleanup. I expect Elon will leave soon enough as he finds out that the giant grift machine is both too large and too self-healing to permanently damage.
You can see it in any local non-profit, city council, Board of Supervisors, school board…insane activists, mostly females and gracile males…augering the whole mechanism of state into the ground in a barrage of Good Deeds. The days of prominent local businessmen being involved is long over.
Real change will only come with collapse I think. It always happens eventually. Ongoing population replacement, changes in tech, industrial-scale deficit spending, overseas adversaries, some or all of the above. The Somali roadblocks in Minneapolis will set up as they chat on their iPhone 20s, bartering in the new currency of GPU chips and canned food.

Yes indeed – collapse does tend to be the ultimate Black Swan Event.
I’m thinking it will be something like the ’07/’08 financial domino meltdown but somewhat worse due to
everyone being leveraged out further on the limb.
It will enable a nationalization of most all of the financial sector as well as a convenient excuse to switch over to a govt controlled digital currency.
They will blame “capitalism” on the collapse and the need for a govt controlled economy by the ‘experts’. Folks like Krugman and Reich and Yellen – then the REAL fun begins.

“govt controlled digital currency.”
That’ll be sweet. Much better opportunities for tax collection except for, of course, government-favored folks in the tax (and perhaps barter) economy. Much better opportunities for unlimited inflation. Much better opportunities for taking money from your enemies and giving it to your friends. Much better opportunities for a social credit system like those truck drivers in Canada.
It’s for the children of course.
I don’t consider it a real collapse until the theater kids lose power, girl-jobs disappear, the main apparatchik at the county who is, naturally, a female, stops making $450k/year, the Pride Flag Nuremberg Rally is forgotten, commerce becomes local again. We’ll probably see a certain amount of mayhem in the meantime. Things will happen slowly, and then all at once.

Donald Trump then plays five minutes of South African political leaders calling to kill white South African farmers.
Watch Cyril Ramaphosa’s stupid smile, ultimately fade into a grimace.
Although I make a prediction: MSM is going to fact check Trump on the crosses memorial at the end of the video. They are going to say it is a memorial for ALL farmers killed, not just white farmers.

I guess you didn’t finish the article. Cost to install an interior is estimated $25-$50M, so we’ll call it $400M. Trump’s number is right.
“The 747-8i gifted by Qatar was built in 2012…” – it’s 13 years old. Your number is wrong. Air Force One is 35 years old – nearly three times the age of the ‘new’ gifted one.
An outfitted private 747 can fit up to 100 normal-sized folks. So how many of you could fit in the cabin?
Boeing has burned through $3B+ so far for the non-delivery of two 747s for Air Force 1 & 2 replacements. In 2018, the Air Force issued a contract to Boeing to convert two 747s to eventually serve as new Air Force One aircraft, for $3.9 billion. In 2019, the Pentagon estimated that the total estimated cost of building, equipping and testing the planes would be higher, at about $5.3 billion.
The project has been plagued by delays and cost overruns. The jets were supposed to be ready by last year but may not be delivered until 2029.
That would be 11 years total to deliver two airplanes. My cat could build them in less time.

Trump is a total liar and embarrassment to our country
This was just published:
JOHANNESBURG, May 22 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump showed a screenshot of Reuters video taken in the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of what he falsely presented on Wednesday as evidence of mass killings of white South Africans.
“These are all white farmers that are being buried,” said Trump, holding up a print-out of an article accompanied by the picture during a contentious Oval Office meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
In fact, the video, published by Reuters on February 3 and subsequently verified by the news agency’s fact check team, showed humanitarian workers lifting body bags in the Congolese city of Goma. The image was pulled from Reuters footage shot following deadly battles with Rwanda-backed M23 rebels.
With Trump yu can’t believe a word he says.

Paul – white farmers are being targeted and murdered by blacks in So Africa and have been for quite a while. The govt does little to nothing to solve the murders. This is isn’t something new that Trump came up with. It is not a lie. But your limited news sources don’t want to talk about it. Violence and slave trading by blacks in Africa is an abomination that is winked at by the whites elsewhere in the world because they believe blacks aren’t to be held to the same standards as whites. It’s called racism.
Trump is doing a wonderful job uncovering what our previous admins refused to do.
