   This week, the Senate voted to undo two Energy Department rules for appliances finalized during the Biden administration, sending the bills to President Donald Trump to sign into law.
   Senators voted 52 to 46 on Wednesday to overturn a rule that required appliances to meet specific standards to receive the energy-efficient label. The standards apply to various consumer products, including dishwashers, heat pumps, dehumidifiers, and air conditioners. The House voted in March to undo the regulation.
   Along with the energy efficiency standards, the Senate voted on Thursday, 52-45, to overturn the Energy Department’s regulation that sets more stringent standards for commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers under its Energy Conservation Program. It aims to reduce energy consumption and emissions. Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) brought the bill to the floor.
   “Our bill repeals burdensome and costly Biden administration regulations on commercial refrigeration equipment that would drive up prices on consumer goods,” Rep. Craig Goldman (R-TX), who sponsored the bill in the House, said in a statement.
   “Americans want commonsense policies and freedom from government overreach instead of far-left policies that increase the cost of living. I’m proud to be delivering results that support small business and hardworking Americans,” Goldman added.

   BREAKING: Donald Trump’s ICE agents invade an innocent American family’s home, force a woman and her three daughters onto the lawn half naked, seize their phones, laptops, and life savings and then leave them like an “an abandoned dog.”
   This is the most horrifying MAGA regime story yet..
   According to local TV station KFOR, roughly 20 federal agents — including ICE officers, U.S. Marshals, and FBI agents — raided the wrong house in Oklahoma City and told the woman inside, identified as “Marisa,” that they had a search warrant.
   In reality, the suspects named in the warrant didn’t live in the house. Not only that, but they weren’t connected to anyone in the family.
   This is whats happens when you mix weaponized incompetency with ruthless fascism. Donald Trump and his minions are as stupid as they are cruel.
   “We just moved here from Maryland. We’re citizens. That’s what I kept saying. We’re citizens,” said Marisa.
   The feds barged into the house, ransacked it, and forced the family outside in their underwear, displaying the kind of callousness and inhumanity we have come to expect from this administration.
   They seized the family’s belongings, calling it “evidence.” Since the warrant was invalid for the house, it really just amounted to governmental theft.
   “I told them before they left, I said you took my phone. We have no money. I just moved here. I have to feed my children,” said Marissa. “I’m going to need gas money. I need to be able to get around. Like, how do you just leave me like this? Like an abandoned dog.”
   “They were very dismissive, very rough, very careless,” she continued. “I kept pleading. I kept telling them we weren’t criminals. They were treating us like criminals. We were here by ourselves. We didn’t do anything.”
   One agent dismissively told the family that it was a “little rough this morning,” a gross understatement. This is an authoritarian nightmare.
   “It was so denigrating. That you do all of this to a family, to women, your fellow citizens. And it was ‘a little rough’? You literally traumatized me and my daughters for life. We’re going to have to go get help or get over this somehow,” said Marisa.
   The agents told her that it might take days or even months for the family’s belongings to be returned. They refused to give her a business card.

    Just 13 non-financial companies in the S&P 500, including mainly tech giants like Apple (AAPL), Google-parent Alphabet (GOOGL) and IBD Long-Term Leader Microsoft (MSFT), are sitting on cash and investments of more than $1 trillion, says an Investor’s Business Daily analysis of updated data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSmith.
    Apple alone last quarter reported sitting on $167 billion in cash and investments. That’s 6.3% of all the S&P 500’s cash. And it’s only down 1.5% from fiscal 2022, despite the company paying a tiny 0.6% dividend yield. And last quarter, Alphabet said it’s holding $150 billion in cash and investments, up more than 4% from 2022.
    The massive cash pile held by just 13 companies accounts for nearly 40% of the $2.6 trillion held by all of the companies in the S&P 500. S&P 500 companies now have enough cash to give $7,926 to every man, woman and child in the U.S.

    Leaders of California’s high speed-rail project are sounding the alarm on the project’s financial future after nearly 20 years of delays and billions of tax dollars spent, the Los Angeles Times first reported.
    After California’s High-Speed Rail Authority board members voted to approve new contracts for the Central Valley station and construction bids for a Fresno station on Thursday, several members raised concerns over the project’s financial commitments and future, the publication reported. The railway, which was supposed to be completed by 2020 and cost $33 billion, was recently projected to reach $106 billion, prompting lawmakers and the Trump administration to place the entire project under a microscope.
    “I’m very nervous about receiving the federal funding,” board member James Ghielmetti said. “I want to make sure my fellow board members are aware that if the federal money does not come through, somebody’s got to backstop these contracts.”
