[‘Making English Our National Language Is One Step Toward A More Unified Country’ is a true statement, and long overdue. I grew up in a bilingual environment, speaking only Estonian at home with my parents. But we all recognized the importance of speaking English as one of the main bonds unifying us as Americans with everyone else in the country. gjr]

ok, fine. you first.
You know, there’s a guy I saw on X who was offering up free plane tickets to Ukraine (Slava Ukraini!) for everyone wanting to do their bit. He had the wherewithal for 6 tickets but no takers thus far. Anyone interested and I could hook you up with the account name.
A family quarrel between two roughly equivalent dubious places seems like a bad place to be, ask any sheriff.
The whole of the Balkans isn’t worth the bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier. – Some German Guy.
I’ll extend ‘Balkans’ slightly.
‘Official Language’.
It’s insane to not have one. Otherwise the endgame is an infinitely growing list of language, dialects, creoles, and urban slang used in government forms, legal definitions, schools etc. You make inability to speak the local lingo a protected class and Bob’s Yer Uncle, things get stupid.
I’d consider one addition, and that’s ASL as it doesn’t map 1:1 to English. Maybe it needs a carve-out for certain cases.

English-only for govt should have been mandated a long time ago. Private news outlets and companies are free to publish and air in any language they wish.
Of course there will be complaints. The same folk that claim our “newcomers” are all brilliant people that will cure cancer, will also claim these same worthies are at the same instance too stupid to learn a new language.
If I decided to move to a non-English speaking country, the very first thing on my agenda would be to learn the language.
I worked with many people for decades whose first tongue was not English and yet they managed just fine.
The ballots should all be in English – if you can’t read the ballot, how did you come to make an educated decision on voting?
Not being able to speak and read in the native tongue of the country you live in locks you into a type of ghetto. And that’s where the Dems like to find (and keep) their voters.

A podcast wont help the record –
Brand-new quarterly data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), analyzed by the Employment Policies Institute (EPI), has laid bare a grim reality for California’s fast food industry: the state has shed up to 16,000 jobs since Governor Gavin Newsom signed the $20 fast food minimum wage law, AB 1228, in September 2023.
“The propaganda coming out of Newsom’s office and the SEIU is completely out of touch with reality,” said Rebekah Paxton, EPI’s research director. “The data definitively shows thousands of jobs have been lost due to this harmful policy, and hardworking Californians are left feeling the burden.”
The numbers dovetail with a Berkeley Research Group study showing menu prices soaring 14.5% since the wage hike, nearly double the national average. An EPI survey of fast food operators post-implementation paints an even bleaker picture: 98% raised prices, 89% cut employee hours, 73% curbed overtime or shift pickups, and 70% reduced staff or merged roles.
For Californians, the ripple effects sting. Higher prices—think $15 Big Mac meals—hit consumers hard, while job cuts disproportionately axe youth and low-skill workers, drying up entry-level opportunities. As the Fast Food Council mulls a proposed $20.70 wage for 2025, the data screams caution.
“Hardworking Californians are bearing the burden,” Paxton said, “and it’s time policymakers face the facts.” With no comment yet from Newsom’s team on the March data, the debate over AB 1228’s legacy—and California’s economic future—burns hotter than ever.

Well, the French did mostly invent the concept of mass armies. What followed was hilarity in Europe for some time as that era’s Woke Revolution got to spreading the love followed by an artillery officer emperor.
Honestly, getting involved in European politics is like trying to understand Afghanistan. Argumentative self-obsessed people who want me to care about their problems. Given the feminization of most of the place, from leadership right down to the street, I’m not convinced that any armies will get formed to do God’s work in Ukraine, but that doesn’t keep remote-control war from being pushed. Fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian will be quite a boon to the defense contractors.

“July 1987, Moscow, USSR — Trump, 41 years old, flies to Moscow at the invitation of Soviet Ambassador to the U.S., Yuri Dubinin.
Upon returning from Moscow, the bankrupt Trump suddenly receives loans from 16 banks and, without negotiation, purchases The Plaza Hotel for $407.5 million — a record price for a hotel.
What does this mean? There are several theories, one of which suggests that Trump is a russian asset.
Currently, three former KGB agents claim that Trump was recruited by russia. They allege that the KGB used flattery and business opportunities to appeal to Trump’s ambitions, aiming to recruit him as an asset.
Upon his return to the U.S., the then-apolitical Trump began loudly criticizing NATO, taking out full-page ads in The Washington Post on September 2, 1987.
These claims come from Alnur Mussayev, former KGB officer and ex-head of Kazakhstan’s intelligence service, as well as ex-KGB agents Yuri Shvets and Sergei Zhyrno, who now reside in the U.S. and France, respectively.
None of these former KGB operatives has provided direct evidence, but the fact that three agents, speaking at different times and from different locations, tell the same story suggests that the possibility should not be dismissed.
Regardless of whether these allegations are true, Trump’s behavior is telling. He has sided with russia and North Korea at the UN, is pulling out of NATO, and has alienated Western allies with trade wars.”

THERE ARE SEVERAL THEORIES, ONE OF WHICH SUGGESTS THAT TRUMP IS A BELGIAN SPACE ROBOT.
Why of course he is. Putin is directly beaming a mind control order to Trump to round up all Nevada County Democrats and put them to work building a vast pyramid complex somewhere in Nevada. They will be forced to undergo training as a slave workforce specializing in stone working and the recycling of men’s room tampon machines into masonry chisels.

Honestly, I think it gives you a little insight into where local liberals are coming from and so that’s it’s value. They really think that the US is headed to the Handmaid’s Tale, that vandalizing some poor sod’s Tesla is the highest form of political expression. That unlimited immigration, men with fetishes, and DEI struggle sessions are the way to some sort of heaven on earth.
On RR, the locals can’t admit any of those things, so what they’re left with is making fun of Trump for his hair.

My favorite Grifter of the Day is definitely Stacey Abrams. I mean, what a piece of work. There should be plenty of articles out there on how much money has been skimmed over to her by the Biden Administration so I won’t bore anyone with them.
It’s crazy how corrupt people can be if they’re (a)From large city political machines (b)Democrat…a implying b typically and (c)a female POC. You can pretty much count on a 100% hit rate. There’s a really good chance that the ethnic/gender angle is simply due to opportunity rather than some cultural flaw I suppose, it’s a side effect of building a gynocracy. You always get more of what you subsidize and we tend to subsidize some sorts of criminality.
It would be nice if the new administration puts a stake in the heart of all this, but there’s so much money involved and so many people on some sort of take (or iron rice bowl) that it seems an impossible task. You should look up how many 501c organizations are just in Nevada County, how much the local government administrators earn, etc. There’s gold in them thar taxpayers.

Yeah – the Dems sure had a great economy going there.
Let’s face it – the American economy is mostly selling amusements to ourselves and expensive coffee drinks.
Manufacturing started leaving in the 70s. And it’s not coming back until this country is willing to work for cheap like the 3rd world. Even Japan offshores a lot now. But our govt doesn’t want low wages – that means low taxes and increased pressure on hand-outs
Just as the local govts don’t really want low-cost housing. If the actual end cost (like manufactured boxes) is low, then the tax base is low.
Trump looks serious about cutting off the funny-money.
He needs to but it will result in a big slump, maybe a crash. Then our nation will put the Dems back in and we’ll have a National E-Money system and GNI.
Unless the Chinese have taken over by then.
Per usual – “women and minorities hit hardest”.
Enjoy!

It’s sad really, but of course the average Democrat is basically a net taker in terms of hard economic benefit.
Speaking of Democrats:
“WHAT’S GOING ON WITH ACTBLUE? The Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue was created more than 20 years ago, in 2004, at a time when Democrats were up in arms over another Republican president, George W. Bush. “In the early 2000s, grassroots supporters — frustrated with the Bush administration — were an untapped superpower for campaigns,” ActBlue officials wrote to mark their anniversary last year. “Since then, the leading online fundraising platform for Democratic candidates and campaigns helped process over $13 billion raised from more than 250 million individual donations.””
https://archive.is/Oh1gv
Team Blue is basically one giant Tammany Hall, based on freebies, government jobs, non-profits, infinite immigration. There’s the occasional exception, but not very damn many.
