The price of battery grade Lithium has dropped 80% in the last 12 months… an oversupply apparently due to lack of EV sales.

Found an interesting exchange traded fund… DRLL (as in drill baby drill)… for those who think petroleum hasn’t gone away and isn’t going away and shouldn’t
    go away.
    Gentle people, place your bets.

The flip side of the ETF business is that the ESG funds will have heavy-duty help from the bureaucratic state and from the Larry Finks of the world. Ironically, it seems to me that so much DEI is baked into the cake of the modern financial, media, gubmint world that it might be the smart move to just jump on board. Gotta look at VTSAX vs ESGV I guess. It’s not dissimilar to the idea that Tesla is a better investment than Toyota if the Governor and his Million Minions say ‘thou must buy an EV’ (or if the Great State of California buys 1/2 of it for you).
Hey, if a dude has to wear a dress and a puppy mask, march in the annual George Floyd Day Anti-Hate Parade with a pride flag, pull down the occasional statue to get a job these days, just go with the flow. The absurdity of it all is it’s own reward.

You gotta wonder what kind of weird games the car companies, especially the EV flavor, are playing with lithium contracts. It’s kind of like airlines and oil futures.

That’s the worldwide market price, and China has a lot of EV manufacturing.
I’m sure they’re playing adult games with lithium contracts.
