‘DEI’ is now the new politically correct attribute that replaces ‘Section 8’ that we have been using for decades.  Referring to that part of the 1964 Civil Rights Act for those reeeinving meritless assignments, promotions, and rewards served us well and irked to no end the liberal sponsors of such fractured public policies.  Now we can use the more acceptable ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ modifiers as in ‘The former Harvard president and plagiarist Claudine Gay got her job as a DEI candidate.’

The recent massacre of Iranians by ISIS demonstrates again that the ragheads love killing each other with perhaps even more gusto than they like to murder Jews.  I think the body counts bear out this conclusion.

The reason there are ‘food deserts’ in US cities was again demonstrated in Compton, CA.  There a mad max gang pillaged Ruben’s Bakery & Mexican Food when “a mob of more than 100 rushed into the store, stealing groceries, lottery tickets, and even meat scales, and causing further damage.”  Who today wants to invest their life savings in a retail business located in a Democrat controlled town where a “local small business that braves a rough neighborhood is rewarded with looting and destruction."

[8jan24 update] 'The Real Story of January 6th' is a 1.5 hour online movie produced by Epoch Times.  It's a bit scary to watch as it shows what our government now does to people whom they consider to be their political enemies.  And more scary to see how obvious self-declared anti-American rioters can loot, rob, burn, and riot in our cities with absolutely no recourse from the established authorities.

[9jan24 update]  Readers familiar with my advocacy of all things Bayesian, especially in the area of decision-making and evolutionary progress, will enjoy reading this piece – ‘Bayesian Inference: A Unified Framework for Perception, Reasoning, and Decision-making’ – in the online magazine Medium.  It provides some additional insights into how we (and other critters) are all basically Bayesian, whether we know it or not.

Idiot Juan – “Trump prays for the economy to crash before the next president takes office”
Where does the word “pray” appear in the article? I guess reality just doesn’t work for you, so you invent your own.
You might want to read all of the actual words that Trump said. It’s the timing of the economy collapsing that he talking about. Trump is hardly alone in pointing out the economy is teetering on the edge. It’s pumped up like a balloon on debt and printed money.

    Simple-minded Scott,
It just goes to show you how something that isn’t a president’s fault gets blamed on the president who happens to be in office at the time something beyond their control happens.
Trump knows how his base thinks, they have tried to blame Biden for world inflation, world oil prices, world industrial shutdown consequences, etc…
Trump is kneeling by his bedside every night praying that the economy screws up somehow during Biden’s term so that the MAGA base can blame Biden.🤣🤣🤣

Nice try – inserting the word “world”. Biden has, in fact, contributed to US inflation and the rise in prices in our country by continuing to spend money we don’t have, jacking up fees on oil producers, handing out freebies to the illegals, etc, etc.
“Trump is kneeling by his bedside every night praying…”
Interesting that you would fantasize about being in Trump’s bedroom.
    Whatever turns you on, dude.

Simple Scott loves big oil! Simple is mad because bad man Biden is mean on big oil!
Guess who is the top producer and consumer of big oil?
We are the top consumer of big oil!
List all the bad fees Biden makes big oil pay. Did you hear that on Lindell-TV?
Are you referring to proposed bonding fees being raised from $10k to $150k, the raise being the first in 60 years?
    You really are simple-minded

“Simple Scott loves big oil! Simple is mad because bad man Biden is mean on big oil!”
I point out facts about how Biden raises costs for companies and consumers and this is what Idiot Juan comes up with: “Scott loves big oil”
It’s like trying to have a discussion about physics with a kid from the short bus.
“Guess who is the top producer and consumer of big oil?
We are the top consumer of big oil!”
And what does that have to do with Biden admin raising the cost of pumping, transporting and refining petroleum products?
Nothing, but poor Juanita is looking for any dodge he can to avoid the subject.
The subject being that the Biden admin is responsible for contributing to inflation and rising costs in our country.
“Are you referring to proposed bonding fees being raised from $10k to $150k, the raise being the first in 60 years?”
No, but again – nice try at a dodge. Although it will raise costs for the consumer, so it does help to make my point even if it hasn’t kicked in yet.
Kinda remember Biden shutting down the pipeline that would have transported oil more efficiently and safely but the rail roads enjoyed the increased revenue. And the extra costs are borne by the consumers.
    https://nypost.com/2022/03/09/why-biden-energy-policies-have-contributed-to-surging-oil-prices/
    and
    https://www.csis.org/analysis/biden-makes-sweeping-changes-oil-and-gas-policy
And the Biden admin isn’t done by a long shot:
    https://www.reuters.com/world/us/biden-administration-issues-rule-that-could-curb-gig-work-contracting-2024-01-09/
This will raise costs but help the labor unions. Gee – what party do the labor unions give most all of their money to?
Who cares if it causes increased unemployment, lost opportunities for gig workers and increases costs for consumers?

We should add them to the 100 million democrats who believe like congressman Hank Johnson …..or “Tippy” as I like to call him….that Guam would tip over if the military stationed a few more troops and aircraft there!

A classic! But remember that Hank was a “diversity” elected official and intelligence is not in the list of boxes to be checked.
Juanita and Paul voted for the empty suit who told us that if we got the clot shot, we wouldn’t get covid.

    How’d that work out?
Meanwhile they repeat narratives that have been proven to be lies.

A “democratically elected” govt! That needs to be remembered.

A little sanity how refreshing –
In a ruling issued Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Donald Nugent determined that the state’s new photo ID requirement “imposes no more than a minimal burden, if any, for the vast majority of voters.”
Nugent also rejected the other claims asserted by the Elias Law Group, whose suit filed last year on behalf of groups representing military veterans, teachers, retirees and the homeless argued the law imposed “needless and discriminatory burdens” on the right to vote.
The judge wrote that voters have no constitutional right to a mail-in voting option — or, for that matter, early voting — at all. He added that Ohio’s new schedule for obtaining and returning absentee ballots remains more generous than 30 other states.

This crap is hardly a “Texas” thing.
Colleges and Universities all over the country are lowering the standards of education to the lowest common denominator.
Look at what just went on at Harvard. The left destroys everything it controls.
