Laughable. Argentina has been sinking downhill for decades. Massa was just the latest placeholder. I wish Milei (and Argentina) well, but his promise to not privatize education and health care is hardly a “libertarian” stance. The idea that he presents an “alarming” trend in Argentina is silly. Clearly whatever the economic status quo is in Argentina it is not working. Anything at this point will probably be an improvement.

fh 8 pm – That was a good, but sad read. Modern society in “advanced” countries operate so much on good intentions and the fever dreams of the left. It is the general belief by many (most?) that every human has a “right” to all sorts of material goods to be provided by the govt at a cost that is not to be considered. As to anyone who does – they are to be denounced as the proverbial Scrooge. It is amusing to see the left “adjust” their finger-pointing as to who is the fattest calf to be butchered for the good of the people.
At the end of the article, the question arose as to where a person could run to for freedom. It used to be US. Increasingly, talent and capital are finding (for now) other safe havens.

Usually, the 44MJ/kg energy of gasoline is released over a number of miles, but if you have (20gal x 125MJ/gal = 2.5 x 10^9 BTUs) released in, say, less than a few seconds, it catches someone’s attention. A gallon of gasoline weighs about 6.25 pounds (2.8 kg).
What I am surprised at is the use of only ONE camera at the scene (that the govt has seen fit to show). Since the govt most likely identified the Rainbow Bridge as important, there should be dozens of cameras available. Downing the Bridge would inconvenience Canada-U.S. trade for quite a while.
C4 has energy listed at 6MJ/kg. Gasoline is 44MJ/kg. C4’s brisance must be considerably more than that of gasoline (I could not even find a brisance for gasoline) so if you wanted to collapse the Rainbow Bridge, C4 is much better than gasoline. Gasoline isn’t listed as a high explosive (HE). C4 evidently releases its energy in microseconds.
So the FBI experts on HE should have known immediately after seeing even just the one video, that this wasn’t an attempt to knock down the Rainbow Bridge, but was just a simple gasoline explosion. But what do they know, since the FOX experts on HE had already concluded that it was a terrorist event. You know, kinda like the FBI’s experts on insurrections concluded that the Jan 6 event, by unmasked folks, without any weapons, on the Capitol, was definitely an ‘insurrection’.

What he didn’t say is that Gore then conceded and Bush became President. Direct quotes from Gore

Trump never has conceded the election to Biden and in fact staged an insurrection to prevent certification on Jan 6 and sat back and watched on television the Capital being ransacked not doing anything for three hours while watching our elected representatives fleeing to safety while the mob chanted hang Pence. That was Jan 6 two months after the election.
