Now that former president Trump has been indicted by the country’s anti-American left, we are seeing the saner elements from both Right and Left decry the Manhattan idiot DA’s decision in countless media interviews and op-eds.  What strikes me is how these commentators are tippy-toeing around the notion of a violent opposition, while not exactly calling for one – but their message is clear – e.g. the 30mar23 Tucker Carlson program.  So let’s get cut to the chase, are we finally hearing that it’s time to start soaking the cannons?  Thoughts?

More later.

fish 3:49 – That is absurd. The Biden admin was completely in charge for months at the time of the US military collapse and failure in Afghanistan.
Once again we see the Dems ascribing to Trump magical powers across space and time to force people to his will. Pathetic.

    THE BIDEN CONNECTION
“The next month, one of the top-ranking left-wing ideologues in Biden’s Department of Justice, Matthew Colangelo, was sent to Bragg’s office to run the Trump case.
As Mike Davis, former chief counsel for nominations to the Senate Judiciary Committee, put it, Colangelo, a former NAACP lawyer, is “the key link” between Bragg and the DOJ “in their efforts to politicize and weaponize our federal and state justice systems to get Trump.”
The irony of Bragg’s case is that Democrats are interfering with the 2024 election with allegations that Trump interfered with the 2016 election.“

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: WE’RE IN A REVOLUTION
“The politicization that began in the DOJ in 2009 has now spread its venomous tentacles into all aspects of our government. Even the military, perhaps the most highly revered U.S. institution of all, has been infiltrated by leftists.
The result is that we are living in a country we barely recognize. In addition to the persecution of Trump, mainstream institutions, from media outlets to hospitals, want the public to believe that men can get pregnant and that children should be allowed to make life-altering decisions about their gender. These same institutions tell us that climate change and white supremacy are the deadliest threats we face. Our southern border sits wide open and our military struggles to meet basic recruitment quotas. Equity has replaced meritocracy. In everything from sports to children’s entertainment, wokeism has taken over.
The most frightening aspect of this transformation is the relative speed and ease with which it has occurred.” —Elizabeth Stauffer

You know, it goes way beyond Biden.
I see him mostly these days as Governor Lepetomane from Blazing Saddles.
The fact that they could find people to write the report and then spread it around and make military folk read it and claim with a straight face it was true. It just becomes a farcical play. And the best part actually was the idea that the military was given bad intelligence as they had no idea whatever that the Afghan leaders would just hie off to wherever with their suitcases full of cash and the proud Afghan army would collapse. Like it’s never, ever happened before. At least the Russian military got most of their stuff out as they left.

And he’s lying again to boot… despite multiple ballots where his name was presented, I didn’t vote for Trump. Not once, not twice, not three times and not four times, but because I don’t suck up to the liars on the left, I’m falsely accused of being a Trump loyalist.
A neocon is someone who turned from being liberal to being conservative. It’s a free country and I can’t be bothered to cancel him for his apostasy to Democratic Party loyalists. Good for him!

lol. Talk about the kettle calling the snowball black.
Paul, you’ve spent absolutely years not making an argument here, not ‘expressing an opinion’, asking leading question, asking useless questions, writing single sentence throw-away comments on the same 2 or 3 mini-topics.
Looking through the post history, you didn’t used to be that way. You actually held up one end of a conversation.
What in the heck happened? Some sort of ageing thing? A need to fit in to your local bubble of a community? Typing became more difficult? Some weird virtue signaling kink? If nothing else, a local concert promoter has to be careful that they say the things that non-working people who sing working people songs think…there’s an obvious hivemind there.
Oh well. The only way to deal with an utter ass is to feed it right back to them. Any engagement beyond that has a weird imbalance and merely serves to confuse everyone.

Indicted felon Donald Trump returned to Fox News last night, and FAWNED on some of the world’s most brutal dictators. Because, of course.”
“None of the bravado Carlson displayed when texting coworkers that he hated Trump “passionately” and believed he was a “demonic force” was present in the interview aired Tuesday. The Fox host deferred to the former president at every turn and simply folded as Trump hijacked the post-arraignment billing of their discussion in favor of airing another installment of his own Trump Show.”

I get it Missy… after waiting seven or eight years, Trump is finally facing criminal charges by a prosecutor (a Democrat) who ran for office promising to do just that.

    Trump’s Derangement is real.
“CNN reported that the National Archives plans to hand 16 documents over to the special counsel that show Trump knew the correct procedure for declassifying such material. This could be significant because it gets to the question of whether Trump had criminal intent, a building block of any case against him. If there is evidence that the ex-president knew he couldn’t just declassify documents by taking them away from the White House – or even with a private thought as he once suggested – his defense on the issue of records stored at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida becomes more difficult.
In a May 16 letter obtained by CNN, acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall wrote to Trump – “The 16 records in question all reflect communications involving close presidential advisers, some of them directed to you personally, concerning whether, why, and how you should declassify certain classified records.”
In a CNN town hall event last week, Trump falsely claimed of top-secret documents: “By the way, they become automatically declassified when I took them.”
I can declassify anything – in my mind.
