   Could you elaborate on how the religious revival marathons you mentioned are a seen as a reaction to woke things, and I’m assuming you mean left ideas?
   As far as I can tell the right is not the only party involved in religion. My family is involved with religion, some Baptist some Lutheran. My brothers a minister.
   As far as that Chapel Hill story, it sounded like it was religious courses being suggested, but the bigger issue was a creation of a new school or buildings to house those religious studies. Adding some classes is one thing but a building sounds costly.

   Huh. ‘Virus’ doesn’t seem the right word, I’m more comfortable with ‘secular religion’, and a particularly expansionist one at that.
   You really need the more enthusiastic jihadi instinct that comes with as opposed to the sorts of things a virus does (cause symptoms that help spread a disease). An argument could be made that wokeism is more similar to those sorts of parasites that cause behavior changes, but really religion is a better model since it implies active participation by conscious behavior.
   Thing is, this has happened before, with the normal horrendous effects. You do have to wonder what happened in 19th C. Europe that fired up so much craziness…perhaps it’s simply a combination of industrial (and farming) revolution increases in wealth and an over-supply of educated urban non-workers. It ain’t like the Russian or French revolution was run by ‘the workers’ lol.

Nearly 90,000 students – roughly 25% of the city’s total – have left Chicago’s Public School (CPS) system since 2010, as families opt for private schools or flee the city entirely. Those still in public districts are struggling: Nearly 80% of Chicago 11th graders could not read or perform math at grade level, according to state data from 2022. Meanwhile, half of CPS students are chronically absent.

    Why would the choice of dictionary matter?
    Is there a Fox News dictionary you guys on the right rely on, that doesn’t align with the rest of the dictionaries?
    Fox is where you guys get all your talking points apparently, which all coincidentally coincide with Russian propaganda on a regular basis.
    Try to find anyone harping online about CRT or woke before Fox started yapping about it if you doubt that.
    Same clowns that cast repetitive doubt about the 2020 election on air, while privately mocking Trumps election fraud claims.
    Have you noticed they aren’t denying their texts filed in the Dominion lawsuit, hiding behind the 1st amendment because they told their viewers
    on air what they wanted to hear ( according to them) instead of the truth, because their stock price was falling due to lack of viewership when they told the truth?

    Woke was in the first dictionary I looked up, Delirium Tremens, and I’ve been “yapping” about Critical Theories for a couple of years.
    I get it… you don’t like the “woke” label now that the tables have turned. According to cunning linguist John McWhorter, it started in the black community about 80 years ago, and was adopted 10+ years ago by white progressives.
