An electric car, like a golf cart, has a given range, speed and carrying capacity. I don’t need a golf cart and the drives I need to take aren’t well suited to the electric cars that are on the market.
Doug once challenged me that I would be buying a Nissan Leaf soon… I have not, because they still won’t travel 600 miles on a charge and used examples generally are being sold because they require a very expensive battery replacement.

It’s the middle of a summer scorch. Did you do your winter preparedness survival plan? I did. This time Imam ready. Got frozen jugs of water in the freezer, got the rechargeable batteries in the flashlight charged up last night, got a five gallon bucket of water in the bathroom in case I need to flush the toilet, have the emergency stash cash in the wallet in case the stores can’t take debit cards, and bought a big bag of dog food and have gas in the old clunker in case I have to go rescue some drama queen and get her carcass to the ER. I am more ready than usual for summer. Hmmm. Have you purchased your yearly delivery of propane yet? Procrastination bit me one that one important detail last winter.
All in all, I am more ready for the Summer Blackouts than I normally am. That’s progress. Even put an emergency blanket in the back seat and water, just in case.

Gman we had 2k down in AS before 6 and were told it would be back on at 945 and crews would be there at 7. Were back on at 6ish and a bit of brewer where the branch hit the lines was back later.
There are 3 outages in the county right now. Bad day for it but it was not flex. We shall see if the hypers sensitive gear works out.
