[As RR has argued for some years now, we Americans are competing with our enemies to see who will be the first to destroy the historical United States of America. So far, we are winning. Thomas Sowell echoes this with his 3aug22 ‘The Point of No Return’ that opens with, “This is an election year. But the issues this year are not about Democrats and Republicans. The big issue is whether this nation has degenerated to a point of no return — a point where we risk destroying ourselves, before our enemies can destroy us.” gjr]

‘Parent Group Sues Iowa School District For Allegedly Hiding Children’s GenderTransitions’
“A parents advocacy group is suing an Iowa school district for allegedly hiding children’s gender transitions from parents.
Parents Defending Education is suing the Linn-Mar Community School District near Cedar Rapids over so-called “gender support plans,” which the group says were concealed from parents.
“Nearly a century of Supreme Court precedent makes two things clear: parents have a constitutional liberty interest in the care, custody, and control of their children, and students do not abandon their First Amendment rights at the schoolhouse gate,” states the lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
The Linn-Mar district is “flouting both of these constitutional guarantees,” the lawsuit claims, by allowing children to make “fundamentally important decisions concerning their gender identity without any parental involvement and to then hide these decisions from their parents.”
Students as young as 12 can w…….”

FBI lists Ashli Babbitt, Second Amendment and ‘Betsy Ross Flag’ to terror symbols guide: report
The guide, provided by an FBI whistleblower to the investigative media organization Project Veritas, says the symbols are “used by Anti-Government or Anti-Authority Violent Extremists.”
Symbols listed on the guide also include the “Punisher skull” the Spartan helmet and “2A.” The guide says militant violent extremists, also known as MVEs, “justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia’ as well as the right to bear arms.”
Historical imagery listed on the guide also includes the Gadsden flag, which contains a snake and the phrase “Don’t tread on me,” the Liberty Tree and other general “Revolutionary War Imagery.”
The FBI says MVEs consider people such as Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by a U.S. Capitol police officer during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and Vicki Weaver, who was killed during the Ruby Ridge standoff, to be martyrs.

No wonder the lame stream media is the most untrusted name in news.
‘Media credits Biden for al Qaeda leader’s death after attacking Trump for similar counterterror ops’
Recent strike ordered by Biden targeting al Qaeda chief receives praise, while Trump strikes deemed illegal, destabilizing.
“Tapper also falsely claimed Trump didn’t thank his top intelligence officials and said the president was “bending over backward to thank [Russian President Vladimir] Putin for allowing the U.S. to use its airspace for the operation.”
Several other journalists noted that Trump thanked Russia, in an apparent nod to the now-debunked allegations that Trump’s campaign colluded with the Russian government to win the 2016 presidential election.
Media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC also criticized Trump’s remarks on the raid, in which he said al Baghdadi died “like a dog” and was a “sick and depraved man,” as being “shocking” and “un-American.” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said Trump “sounded like Saddam Hussein after torturing people.”
The nation’s most prominent media outlets responded similarly with their coverage in January 2020, when Trump ordered an operation that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Many experts believe Soleimani was the second most powerful Iranian official behind Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Soleimani was sanctioned by the U.S. for his role heading the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In that role, he was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of U.S. soldiers in Iraq, according to the Pentagon. The U.S. government has designated both the Quds Force and the entire IRGC as terrorist organizations.
Shortly after Soleimani’s death, mainstream media outlets such as NBC and NPR questioned whether the U.S. strike was legal, portraying Trump’s decision as an act of belligerence. CNN’s John Berman referred to “the murder, the assassination of General Soleimani,” adding it occurred as Trump was facing impeachment proceedings.
Many media outlets speculated that Trump may have timed the military strike to distract from his expected impeachment trial.
It appears no journalists at these same outlets have suggested Biden’s strike on Zawahiri was meant to distract from his historically low approval rating just three months before the midterm elections……”

Scott O
Here is the text of the Kansas Constitutional Amendment. You figure it out, it’s too confusing for me. Sounds contradictory. It is and purposely written that way with input from a Kansas pro-death political to muddle the waters. The text was the collaboration of both sides as the pro-life writers turned to a pro-death politician to help craft the bill. Big rookie mistake. Here’s Johnnie….
Kansas No State Constitutional Right to Abortion and Legislative Power to Regulate Abortion Amendment (August 2022)
Location: Kansas
Ballot year: 2022
Ballot text: Shall the following be adopted? § 22. Regulation of abortion. Because Kansans value both women and children, the constitution of the state of Kansas does not require government funding of abortion and does not create or secure a right to abortion. To the extent permitted by the constitution of the United States, the people, through their elected state representatives and state senators, may pass laws regarding abortion, including, but not limited to, laws that account for circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest, or circumstances of necessity to save the life of the mother.
[ ] Yes [ ]No
The Value Them Both Amendment would affirm there is no Kansas constitutional right to abortion or to require the government funding of abortion, and would reserve to the people of Kansas, through their elected state legislators, the right to pass laws to regulate abortion, including, but not limited to, in circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest, or when necessary to save the life of the mother.
A vote for the Value Them Both Amendment would affirm there is no Kansas constitutional right to abortion or to require the government funding of abortion, and would reserve to the people of Kansas, through their elected state legislators, the right to pass laws to regulate abortion.
A vote against the Value Them Both Amendment would make no changes to the constitution of the state of Kansas, and could restrict the people, through their elected state legislators, from regulating abortion by leaving in place the recently recognized right to abortion.LikeLike

Update: The Don’t Say Gay Monkey Pox
MONKEYPOX
Deputy Public Health Officer Dr. Glennah Trochet said the recent worry surrounding monkeypox is warranted, but added there have been no known cases in Nevada County.
Trochet said Wednesday there were 3,591 cases nationwide, with California having 646 of them. Twenty-nine cases have been detected in Sacramento and, according to a statement released by Placer County Public Health, one there as well.
Trochet said monkeypox is in the same family as smallpox. Those infected will likely experience flu-like symptoms, then develop a rash or small spots that can be very painful. Additionally, it can be passed through objects that may be contaminated.
The Placer County statement advised that there are a number of ways to help prevent the spread of monkeypox, including talking to sexual partners about their recent activity and overall health, avoiding close contact with those who have sores or rashes, and practicing good hygiene.
Trochet said: “If you have been exposed, the best (thing) is to notify your doctor.”LikeLike

Thanks Bill – it’s about what I thought when I had looked into it. Needless to say, the no votes were often because of some heavy scare advertising with a boat-load of out of state money.

Damage control alert-from USA Today article, dispelling idea that monkeypox is an STD. They use STI, which is exactly the same as STD.
“Sexually transmitted infections are nothing new. But has a new one surfaced? Not exactly.
….
That’s why experts say it’s a problem to call monkeypox an STI. Not only because it’s inaccurate and misinformation could worsen the spread, but because it can perpetuate stigma against marginalized communities.
And while the majority of cases reported have been with men who have sex with men, ANYONE can get monkeypox.” (Note- the chance of anyone, not gay, getting monkeypox now is slightly below 1%).
Which marginalized community do they mean – heterosexuals, who were afforded the opportunity to receive AIDS in the early 1980s, and now have a similar opportunity with monkeypox? Is our govt stepping up to protect that marginalized heterosexual community? Not likely. The govt makes its own priorities, some more important than others.LikeLike

Job growth is huge. From Breitbart no less
“The U.S. economy added 528,000 jobs in July and the unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent, the Department of Labor said Friday.
The U.S. economy added 528,000 jobs in July and the unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent, the Department of Labor said Friday.
Economists had expected the economy to add 258,000 jobs and the unemployment rate to hold steady at 3.6 percent. The range of forecasts by economists surveyed by Econoday was between a gain of 2200,000 to 300,000.
The prior month’s already very high jobs figure of 372,000 was revised up to 398,000. The jobs market has now fully recovered from the pandemic job losses, with both the unemployment rate and total payrolls at their February 2020 prepandemic levels.
On average, the economy has added around 450,000 jobs per month in 2022, an extremely high rate of payroll building. This is even more extraordinary given the very low rate of unemployment and the fact that the U.S. economy contracted in both the first and second quarters of this year.”

“Houston man Robert Cantrell hanged himself in a jail cell in 2019 after King falsely accused him of murdering a 7-year-old black girl in late 2018. Cantrell and his family received death threats after King posted Cantrell’s mugshot on social media, called him a “racist, violent a**hole,” and falsely suggested he was responsible for murdering Jazmine Barnes.
Cantrell was in jail for unrelated evasion and robbery charges when he died from an apparent suicide. Barnes’s killers, Eric Black and Larry Woodruffe, were ultimately apprehended and convicted. Black was sentenced to 30 years in prison, and Woodruffe was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
In May 2018, King falsely accused a Texas state trooper of raping a black woman during a traffic stop. The trooper was vindicated a few days later after video evidence was released showing he did not assault the woman.“
