Unless the Pres & the Libs eliminate “Free” from everything. Except welfare of course. How come Soc.Security is always on the verge of running out of money, but welfare never is? Why is that? And most-of-us paid into Soc. Security. And the same most-of-us also paid into the welfare fund too.

OK – I’m going to pound on this one.
re the new wonderful law as referenced above.
It just begs for a good flogging. The author is one first class idiot of the highest level of idiocracy.
“California’s law allows gun makers and dealers to also be sued for alleged violations of other laws, including false advertising, unfair competition or deceptive acts or practices.”
This part of the new law is for idiots. It changes nothing. They could always be charged for these crimes.

“The law will also prohibit manufacturers and retailers from making, importing or selling guns or related products that are “abnormally dangerous and likely to create an unreasonable risk of harm.”
What the hell is ‘abnormally dangerous’?

Not sure how this is ‘good news’.
They were ordered to pay damages and told the judge to F himself.
Why should they care about 4M when they openly refuse to pay the full amount in the first place?
My idea of ‘good news’ is the judge upon hearing that the college is openly refusing the court order would be for the judge to order all assets of the college seized and sold off to pay the plaintiff. That would be good news.

Oberlin’s endowment is around $900M. So they could pay the judgment in no time at all if they so desired. But staying true to progressive policies, they do not build anything beneficial, just tear down what others have built. A bakery, a country – no difference. And then they blame others.
They aren’t completely liberal though. Notice that they bought a conservative-style appeal bond, so as to minimize any loss from their own endowment funds.

My first taste of Starbucks coffee was on a biz trip from GV to Redmond WA circa 1994 to attend a conference hosted by Bill’s Pretty Good Software Company for their rollout of Netmeeting which caused the risk averse USR management to cancel our videoconferencing project.

In the shooting death of Sage Crawford, our office’s role was to review the evidence and determine whether there was criminal liability on the part of any officer. Essentially, to decide if there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt of a crime being committed by an officer. Under the standard of review imposed by our legal and ethical obligations, we have found there is insufficient evidence to prove any crime beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, we will not be filing criminal charges and no further action by our office is contemplated or warranted,” said District Attorney Jesse Wilson.

Wouldn’t argue any of it other than about the economy. I sometimes forget that at your level of economic activity you get an inaccurate picture. As long as there is solid cover of change at the bottom of the guitar case the economy is good. I can only gather that there was less change pitched in your direction during the Trump years.
