[It appears that the pro-abortion Left is continuing to violate laws and practice violence in demonstrating its opposition to the SCOTUS ruling that overturned Roe v Wade.  Compare the coverage of these protests on the various ideologically oriented media outlets.  None of the protesters seem to know what the ruling really said and how it preserves democracy in the land. gjr]

The very real fact that Trump was so dumb as to ask about nuking hurricaines is evidense enough about what an idiot he is.
He didn’t suggest snorting a disinfectant he asked about injecting it. Another example about what an ignorant idiot he is
“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re going to have to use medical doctors with. But it sounds—it sounds interesting to me.”

The liberal mind continues to amaze and entertain. I’ve been following PaulE’s extraordinary efforts to pin the ‘ignorant’ label on Trump, in his latest bout with TDS. No one on this green earth has publicly paraded their ignorance than Democrat politicians – you could fill volumes with their utterances. And out of Bumblebrain’s mouth come abundant daily helpings of more.
But calling someone ignorant when they ask questions about the possibility of something working that hasn’t been tried before is the sum and substance of scientific curiosity. It’s dullards who always continue in the same rut and reject the new by muttering ‘show me where that has been done or worked before.’ Using the nuking of hurricanes idea is an old idea initially offered by serious minds and its feasibility investigated by several govt agencies. Trump didn’t order it done, but merely asked a question.
    https://www.wired.com/story/nuking-hurricanes-polar-ice-caps-climate-change/
Now here’s another one for the World of Paul. If the flutter of a Brazilian butterfly can give rise to a hurricane hitting Florida, then the properly timed flutter of another such butterfly can nip a nascent hurricane in the bud. But it’s hard to find such causal butterflies in the desired pairs. So let’s do something else. We already have and can collect more data on the atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic that precede the forming of nascent hurricane vortices.
So why don’t we try something less drastic than nukes on these preamble atmospheric circulations, something as simple as cloud-seeding or increasing the local opacity of the atmosphere to see if such actions would be effective early-stage disruptions? It’s just an idea, but a serious one that may or not work. I have no knowledge of such a thing being considered before – maybe it has and it didn’t work. Does my suggesting it now make me dumb?

hmmmm… been poking around the net to find an upshot to the vacating of Duncan v. Becerra orders. Nussing.
There had been a previous order (the first) by Judge Benitez throwing the doors open to magazines as small as 11 rounds and as large as one can imagine but no one is going there just yet.
Perhaps Benitez needs to review his original order vacating the Prop 63 result and, in light of the new SCOTUS ruling, make an even more expansive order. This shoe will drop.

And what happened to Paul’s lie about Trump talking about snorting peroxide?
There’s lots of things about Trump I don’t like, but if you have to constantly lie about what Trump said or did just to gin up your hate, I’d say you need a mental health checkup.

DB 6:42 – It gets even better than that!
According to Terry Lamphier in the Grass Valley Onion the recent 2nd A opinion from SCOTUS means they will be giving guns to ‘almost’ anyone!
Now he didn’t say where we sign up or what firearms we can choose from but it must be true because the editor wouldn’t publish false statements – would he?
I was somewhat taken aback by Terry claiming that “…when Donald Trump’s incitement of supporters lead to police officer deaths…” but I guess it must be true even though Terry has no quote from Trump that would be considered incitement and Terry must know something no one else knows when he refers to ‘police officers deaths’.
The Onion has a cracker-jack team and they only published this after a careful review of the facts and found all to be the God’s truth.
Anyway – I’d like a Weatherby Mark V (chambered for .50 BMG) – if only Terry would let us know how we get in on this gun give away.

Terry Lamphier’s column in the 1jul22 Union is wrong on so many factual matters that it literally boggles the mind in the attempt to critique it. It is now the second left-panel column the Union has published that takes my 10jun22 piece ‘The Many Ways to Regulate Militias’ to task. I have a letter in rebutting the first one, and I guess I’ll have to write another one to point out Mr Lamphier’s latest futile attempt to penetrate his longstanding cognitive barrier.

From my sources in the Union, their op-ed contributions are not systematically vetted. Many (most?) are published with no publisher/editor oversight, especially in these days of changed ownership and musical chairs at the paper. Consequently the decision to print is made unchecked by a lower level employee, else there would be an editorial addendum which we sometimes find at the end of a particular piece that punctures the leftwing narrative.

Your Frischian feel good story of the day……

John Kerry, America’s first “special envoy for climate,” who seems to spend more time in those private planes than most of us do in bed, has a personal carbon footprint the size of Brooklyn and is well known for docking his $7 million yacht in neighboring Rhode Island to avoid a half million in taxes from his home state of Massachusetts.
I have a personal note of my own to add, having attended, for PJ Media, the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in the midst of the biggest blizzard I had ever encountered—and I went to college in New Hampshire.
I was sitting waiting for one of the panel discussions to begin when, to kill time, I casually addressed the man next to me, asking him where he was from.
“The Maldives,” he said. Amazing, I thought, because I had just read the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean were in danger of extinction, actually going completely under water, because of global warming.
So, trying to be polite, I commiserated with him about the peril to his homeland, but he just shrugged. “Is nothing,” he explained. “We put up sandbags against tide. We do every year. No problem.”
I looked at him non-plussed. “You came a long way. Why’re you here?”
He squinted at me, as if he thought I was either an idiot or I was kidding. “For the money,” he said flatly.
Incidentally, I see once again that in November 2021, some 12 years after that conference, our friends at ABC are once more reporting “Facing dire sea level rise threat, Maldives turns to climate change solutions to survive.”
What do the French say? The more things change, the more they remain the same?
Good thing Trump came along and “packed” the court, no?

Didnt move the needle at all –
In the first elections since the Supreme Court’s consequential ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, Democratic participation in the primaries in Illinois, New York and elsewhere Tuesday was lower than previous midterm cycles — and pollsters say that’s a bad sign for Democrats’ chances in November.
What I have seen in every state with one exception is that Democratic turnout either is noticeably down or flat, while Republican turnout in almost every state is noticeably up relative to 2018

“As the full picture is coming into view with the Jan.6 committee, it has become clear that the efforts Donald Trump oversaw and engaged in were even more chilling and more threatening than we could have imagine. ,As we have shown, Donald Trump attempted to overturn the presidential election and attempted to stay in office and prevent the peaceful transfer of power. He summoned the mob to Washington, he knew they were armed on Jan. 6, he knew they were angry and he directed the violent mob to march on the Capitol in order to delay or prevent the counting of votes.”

Boy or boy. Do the ‘deep state’ love their new club to bludgeon dissent (or questioning them ) with. It’s manna from heaven to them. Music to their ears. Brings out primeval instincts. What the lucky stars gave them was the word ‘misinformation’.
And speaking of them, we all know who ‘they’ are. That’s why they are called they. Ok, not everybody here knows whom ‘they’ are.

No Paul – there is no ‘full picture’. There is a preordained narrative brought to the public via a star chamber TV drama for the benefit of the Dems. It was as much a way to hide the facts as it was to bring out any clarity as to what happened.

WASHINGTON D.C. — After years of being a social and political pariah, former Vice President Dick Cheney is overjoyed to no longer be the least likable Cheney in America.
“It’s incredible. I literally shot someone, and people like me more,” said a gleeful Mr. Cheney. “Spying on American citizens, the war in Iraq – all water under the bridge now, thanks to my daughter. Way to go, Liz!”
Having drawn frequent comparisons to Darth Vader, Dick Cheney had resigned himself to being the proverbial anchor weighing down the family name. “They always kicked me out of the family photos so I wouldn’t damage Liz’s career,” chuckled Mr. Cheney. “At this point, I could skinny dip in the Reflecting Pool and it couldn’t make things worse for her. Ah, freedom at last!”
Liz Cheney reportedly received a huge gift basket from her Dad after the first week of the January 6th hearings. “It felt so nice to know that even if everyone else was against me, my Dad was still in my corner,” said Ms. Cheney. “Although I didn’t quite understand his note. It just said, ‘Taste my pain!’.”
At publishing time, Gallup released a poll showing the Cheney’s neck-and-neck with the Biden’s for America’s least favorite political family.
