Reporting on this, the lamestream media (e.g. NPR) explains to its audiences that all this is due only to lower birthrates, Covid deaths, and not enough ‘immigration’ (aka influx of illegal aliens). Nowhere is mentioned the ongoing Great California Exodus of businesses and workers numbering in the hundreds of thousands annually. The state’s Democrats continue to count on their double dummy constituents to keep them in office and pay no attention to those behind the curtain who have put California at the bottom in about every measured QoL category. gjr]

But, best to make sure he isn’t just some drunk not knowing where he is at oraware of his surroundings and walking around lost and who happened to walk up to your door and let himself right on in. Happened to me once. Guy just was at the door and started to come in and I told him to get away from the door a take a step back. He was about 24, out of his mind drunk and looking for his buddy. Get this. I told him he was at the wrong place and I don’t know anyone named by his buddy’s name and the dude starting arguing with me and said he is not leaving until I showed him where his buddy lives!
Things started to escalate quick and just as I was about to shove him down the front stairs, I looked in his eyes. He was no treat. He didn’t know where he was and needed help to find his buddy. I walked with him out to the street and pointed to two houses away with a driveway to that leads to some bungalows in back. Told him the check down there. He walked off. Glad I did not hurt him……..his eyes told me he did not have malice.

It seems to me that there’s a pretty decent word for someone who provides targeting data for a combatant. It’s called ‘combatant’.

It is a rather odd column. Dunno why people think of the affairs of mass humanity as being two-dimensional, and naturally the writer is always in the middle.
The sort of column that would get you zero paying customers at substack.
Truth is that periodicals and newspapers are dying and are bummed at their lack of impact. There’s the occasional scooplet, but that’ll be just one more data item in the Great Internet Thunderdome.
The other amusing truth is that there are scads of amateur writers who are better than the pro news people, it’s really not that rare a skill. Given the tendency for modern periodicals to hire woke kids on the cheap, I’d say that traditional media is accelerating their own demise.

I ran into the MAGA King post while searching for ultramaga and darkmaga artwork. There’s plenty of both out there.
The cool thing about ‘ultramaga’ (the lead balloon floated by POTUS) is that it was immediately picked up by Trump forces for funny art and hat/t-shirt sales. Oh well. The Democrats are hell on wheels at burning down buildings but suck at memes.
An interesting aside to this is the continuing ‘dead internet’ concept going on at Google. Search for ‘ultramaga’ images, and all you’ll get is CNN with the Bidenmuppet doing it’s thing and hat/t-shirt ecommerce. Search engines have shrunk to basically MSM and stuff-for-sale. Just see how few pages of results show up anymore if you dig down a bit. Something odd is going on under the covers.

Simply search for news articles on Ukraine prior to about 2020 and mostly prior to 2014. Do a bit of research, it’s not hard, really.
It’s been stated as an overt goal by some of the foreign policy mafia. No real ‘conspiracy’ needed (‘conspiracy’ implies ‘bullshit’ of course). There’s been an insane amount of hinky doings in Ukraine by the US over the last decade+.
The whole thing has been smothered by the full court press of propaganda.
