With the horrendous historical preambles of Stalin, Hitler, and Mao, the world now knows that Russia’s Vladimir Putin is a murderous thug.  What our Left misses or means to misinform is the manner in which many of us on the Right assess Putin’s geo-strategic actions, especially when compared in the same arena to the sophomoric efforts of Team Bumblebrain.

To assess Putin’s strategy, concerning his latest effort to expand Russia’s borders and sphere of influence, with attributes such as clever, shrewd, adroit, and even brilliant has no bearing on the man’s character, values, mores, or any other trait laudable by the international community.  A scoundrel can be all these things without ever being mistaken for a person of high principles and moral character.  To the discerning, assessment can be and has always been received and rendered as independent of adulation.

It is in their political desperation that the Democrats have revived their fabricated Russia Collusion hoax to again paint Trump as a Putin toady.  Their dumb-as-doorknobs lamestream trumpets have dutifully picked up the chorus, and when reporting on the matter, even FN has had trouble always making the distinction between assessment and adulation.  But Democrats can count on their lightly-read minions to lap up the ‘new evidence’ that Trump has always been subservient to the Slav with dirty pictures of him.  Lakoff (q.v.) would approve of such posturing as maintenance of the established TDS frame.

Poland will switch from MIGs to western military aircraft, you can bet the ranch on it. They have no worry about always having a capable air force against Russia. The EU, NATO, and the US will never let the Russian sphere reach the Oder again.

That I believe, maybe just in time for manned fighters to lose their luster. Of course, the all-drone fighter force might be like fusion, always 20 years from now. The key thing here is ‘western’. I can’t imagine why any European realists would really want to go all-in on US systems.
You know, it could be that Russia is just the thing to bind the EU together. Otherwise I’d expect it to blow apart over time due to immigration and the massive cultural and language inconsistencies.

A great deal of F-35 secret sauce is bound to be software and integration into each other and other weapons systems. It isn’t like a modern fighter is some guy with a handful of controls shooting at the other guy.
You buy (the first one is free though) an F-35 and you get to talk to US-designed platforms in space, air, ground, water. We’ll make a package deal for everything from satellites to MREs.
Now, here’s the brilliant part. We sell it all on a subscription basis. Your entire military is dependent on US sourced and designed tech (aside from a few side deals) but it’s all available at a low low monthly price. Somewhere deep in the users agreement is our ability to turn it all off, but don’t worry about that.

    morning Russian update.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_WpSXsWs80
“Groups of troops of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, with the fire support of the Russian Armed Forces, continue offensive actions.
The units of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk Republic are successfully developing an offensive in the city limits of Mariupol from the north-western and eastern directions.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation strike at the objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine. On March 6, the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force in Vinnytsia was disabled by high-precision long-range weapons.
Fighter aircraft and air defense of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down three more Ukrainian Su-27 fighters and three unmanned aerial vehicles in the air.
In total, for yesterday and incomplete today, the Ukrainian Air Force lost 11 combat aircraft and 2 helicopters.
Almost all combat-ready aviation of the Kiev regime has been destroyed.
At the same time, we are reliably aware of Ukrainian combat aircraft that previously flew to Romania and other border countries.
Please note that the use of the airfield network of these countries to base Ukrainian combat aircraft with subsequent use against the Russian armed forces can be regarded as the involvement of these states in an armed conflict.
Russian high-precision long-range weapons and military equipment of Ukraine are being put out of action.
The Kiev regime of nationalists forces employees of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine to restore damaged military equipment for subsequent deployment to combat areas.
As part of the task of demilitarizing Ukraine, the Russian armed forces will defeat Ukrainian enterprises of the military-industrial complex with high-precision weapons.
In order to avoid a threat to the lives of employees of enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry, we warn in advance about planned strikes on such objects.
We call on the staff of the Ukrainian defense industry plants not to be led by the Kiev regime of nationalists and to leave the territories of their enterprises.
During a special military operation, the facts of the Kiev regime’s emergency cleanup of traces of a military biological program funded by the US Department of Defense implemented in Ukraine were revealed.
We have received documentation from employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories on the emergency destruction of especially dangerous pathogens of plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases on February 24.
Now the documents are being analyzed by Russian specialists of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops.
It is obvious that with the beginning of a special military operation, the Pentagon had serious concerns about the disclosure of conducting secret biological experiments on the territory of Ukraine.
The documents received confirm that the development of biological weapons components was carried out in Ukrainian biological laboratories, in the immediate vicinity of the territory of Russia.
In order to prevent the disclosure of facts of violation by the United States and Ukraine of Article 1 of the UN Convention on the Prohibition of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health sent an instruction to all biological laboratories on the emergency liquidation of stored stocks of dangerous pathogens.
In the near future we will present the results of the analysis of the received documents.
Some of them, in particular, the instruction of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the destruction of pathogens and acts of destruction in the Poltava and Kharkiv biological laboratories, we are publishing right now: “

It’s probably safe to assume that a lot of what you hear is bullshit. Getting bored with Trump, BLM, , transgender rights, COVID, main-stream media is on to beating the Russia war drums. The US defense establishment evidently wants to go to war and push the Europeans more in their orbit, the Russian leadership want to show itself in a good light, the folks running Ukraine are running a worldwide propaganda campaign, the Chinese appear interested in putting together an anti-US coalition.
    It’s all good.
It’s the web of a thousand lies, but we are well on our way to an internally consistent internet filled with whatever the official position is.

I expect that it’s quite difficult to tell an offensive lab from a defense-oriented one. It’s certainly a game you don’t want countries (or even universities) playing as building a world-ending bug is likely a lot easier than putting together a nuclear explosives program. Plus you often get the benefits of plausible deniability, like (maybe) the Chinese.
Check out Ken Alibek’s book on Biopreparat sometime. It takes a special kind of mind to not only work on things like weaponized smallpox, but delivery systems. Lots of thinking about proper refrigeration systems for storage and missile dispersal for instance. Nasty stuff.

Indeed! I recall a story I heard probably 20 years ago now (60 Minutes, Discovery channel maybe) that demonstrated that a biofermenter suitable to cook up a whole host of unpleasantness (bacterial…..viral is a different animal from a production and delivery standpoint) could be had, including monitoring and control (even easier today), with drying and dispersal prep equipment for less than the cost of setting up a small volume microbrewery. The entire proof of concept was set up in a two car garage somewhere in New Mexico IIRC.
I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t been done already.

Oh, which side to choose. The 50% vaxxed, of the selfish heathens next door? We, as Americans, cannot possibly support a unvaccinated nation. They are a threat to us all. Did you see all those Grandma killers huddled together, packed in shelters like sardines with only 10% wearing masks? They are the true threat to the global community. I hope no nation receives those death carriers. Isolate them now. It’s for the children.

“Fauchi’s name?” Who dat? That dude has gone MIA.
    FINDING FAUCI
We don’t want to find the fallacious Dr. Fauci, but it makes sense to note his mysterious disappearance. It is evidence like the dog that didn’t bark in the Sherlock Holmes story “Silver Blaze.”
Debra Heine collects the observations of his disappearance — “Has anyone seen Science? Is he missing?” — in the American Greatness column “Once a Cable News Darling, Dr. Fauci Now Relegated to Local TV and YouTube Broadcasts.”
One can infer the reason. It has something to do with “Science” (i.e., politics). Heine observes:
Perhaps not coincidentally, Fauci’s disappearance seems to coincide with polling that shows Americans are fed up with COVID-Mania and ready to move on.
Democrat polling firm Impact Research last week advised fellow Dems to put the kibosh on the hysteria and pretend they fixed the problem ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
“Declare the crisis phase of Covid over and push for feeling and acting more normal,” the memo instructed Democrats. “Because of President Biden and Democrats, we CAN safely return to life feeling much more normal – and they should claim that proudly.”
    Now, back on topic…..

BTW, the weapon systems ‘subscription model’, mentioned by Mr scenes above, has long been in effect, and it has been very profitable. The Pentagon copied it from the software industry that annually collects a tribute from licensees for minor improvements timed for the out-years. Once it’s all in place, a bidding system is implemented. The enemy could outbid you for use of a radar system and shut it down.

Note here how the Sacramento Valley Fishwrap omits any mention that the incident at McClatchy was …..tah dah…..another Hate Hoax™ committed by a black student…..who absolutely hasn’t been suspended, expelled, or prosecuted.

“And then the question will be what the next steps are relative to suspension, expulsion, potential juvenile prosecution, or whatever the appropriate next steps will be.”
School staff painted over the graffiti as soon as it was discovered, according to district officials.
Support services have been offered to students and staff “traumatized by this racist incident.” “It is appalling that anyone would target a school with racist graffiti and subject students, staff and families to messages of hate,” Superintendent Jorge A. Aguilar said in a news release last month.
The vandalism at Abraham Lincoln closely followed an incident at C.K. McClatchy High School in which a student scrawled the words “colored” and “white” over white fountain, referencing racist polices from the segregation-era.

WARSAW (Reuters) – Poland is ready to deploy all its MIG-29 jets to Rammstein Air Base in Germany and put them at the disposal of the United States, and urges other NATO members that own planes of that type to do the same, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday
“The authorities of the Republic of Poland…are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Rammstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America,” the ministry said.
“At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes,” it added.

Now here we go, a bit more in the way of negotiations. (everything is a negotiation. blowing up places, causing civilians to evacuate, boycotts. It’s pretty real for these people, not the big Super Bowl game that it is in the US).
“WASHINGTON (AFP) – President Volodymyr Zelensky said he is no longer pressing for Nato membership for Ukraine, a delicate issue that was one of Russia’s stated reasons for invading its pro-Western neighbour.
In another apparent nod aimed at placating Moscow, Zelensky said he is open to “compromise” on the status of two breakaway pro-Russian territories that President Vladimir Putin recognised as independent just before unleashing the invasion on Feb 24.
“I have cooled down regarding this question a long time ago after we understood that… Nato is not prepared to accept Ukraine,” Zelensky said in an interview aired Monday night on ABC News.”

My guess is that the Russians will demand that the Ukrainian government backs down on a policy of re-taking Crimea, joining NATO, starting up a nuclear program. I couldn’t tell you how that is concretely carried out, promising to not do things is a sketchy business.

scenes 104pm – “… promising to not do things is a sketchy business.” Nevertheless, one that can readily be mastered by Zelensky after paying for a few billable consultation hours with the Ayatollah Khamenei. (Since Zelensky is a Jew, they can do it via Zoom.)

re: The MiG gift that keeps on giving that probably won’t.
    from Zerohedge…
“US “Surprised”, Wasn’t Pre-Consulted On Poland’s Announcement Of Jets For Ukraine
Update(17:24ET): This level of huge contradiction among allies on such a big development is just a bit awkward and even embarrassing. The Biden administration is saying it was caught completely by “surprise” at Poland’s declaration hours ago that it would send all its Russian-produced MiG-29 jets to Ramstein Air Base in Germany for the United States to be able to transfer them to Ukraine.”

What a dog’s dinner that all is. The public is spoiling to fight using Ukrainian proxies, there’s these planes (a hard thing to transfer, it’s not like youjump in them and go), and absolutely no one wants their fingerprints on the deed. The US wants the Poles to hand them over, the Poles want to give them to the US who then gets to hand them over. Grand Fenwick will probably have to step up to the plate and ship them in a knocked-down fashion via the royal steam locomotive.
