[The genesis of our wildfires.  Here’s a topic everyone is afraid of discussing.  Almost all of our wildfires are manmade – they are started by indigents, crazies, and people with a political agenda.  The fires started by accidents and natural causes are well-known, few and far in between.  However, our politicians, liberal activists, and media of all hues treat western wildfires as if they were ‘acts of God’, and therefore their genesis need not be questioned, let alone examined, any further.  Given the number of annual wildfires, notice how rare is there any subsequent mention of arson investigations or what these may have discovered.  It seems that the ‘vulnerable underprivileged’ have a natural right to start fires and then be left alone.  And it is not a stretch to imagine the damage anti-American terrorists can do in a free country by simply setting wildfires with easily fabricated, time-delayed pyrotechnic devices.  But from what the public sees, our authorities neither suspect nor pursue such errant behavior – the fires just magically flare up and cause totally acceptable devastation.  gjr]

    Wayne Kerr. Took me a couple of times, but I finally got it and has me rolling. Lol. Much better than the young mischievous student in my HS yearbook who snuck in his class pic as Jack Mehoff. The yearbook police found in a group picture a classmate that pulled down one side of her blouse to expose one small sweet maiden breast, but it was caught in time. The authorities airbrushed the exposed flesh with before publication with enlarging the shoulder of a student standing in front of her. To this day, Jack Mehoff is/was a member of the graduating class.
    Still, not as good as Wayne Kerr. Kudos to the younger generation for being a bit rebellious and ‘sticking it to the man’. It’s how the dependent practice their independence.

I like Goldberg’s writing and his candor and his sometimes humorous humility. So, it don’t make sense why they have labeled Johnathon Goldberg as an ‘elitist.’ Until now?     You might be seeing the future of live TV there, in the way that youtube reality shows can be just as good as the commercial variety. Some driven amateur with a bunch of audio and video sources putting together their own program.
    Something like that is a heckuva lot more informative than network news talking to officials (WEHAVETOCONGRATULATEOURSELVESFORALLTHEINTERAGENCYCOOPERATIONANDSYNERGY) combined with disaster porn of a burning house.

    Thanks Scenes. I can’t pick up the fire traffic for the fire from my local. But as I was coming back from the Spencville gun range I got a good look at the smoke column at about 1:30.
    It looked like a thermo nuke went off.
    I might take a drive to the landfill gate after sundown to see what the glow might be like.
    The ECO nuts wanted roadless forests, and this is a result of that.
    There may be a need to build new lumber mills to handle all the burned trees. The mill in Lincoln is running 24/7.

    Upon futher consideration, I do not stand behind my remarks about Miss Giggles the teacher.
    She said in her own words that she took the American flag down during COVID, whispering because it made her uncomfortable. Fair enough, I always appreciate candor.
    I foolishly thought that as a history teacher for 11th graders, she would be teaching history and maybe some civic lessons or the 50 stars representing 50 states. Guess they don’t put up US or world maps on the walls anymore. Classroom looked rather stark.
    Isn’t her worldview the same as the new social justice warriors. Profession sports stars, Olympic athletes, professors, Ilhan Omars of America, some very outspoken and emotional Wokers? Aren’t they all saying, “That flag does not stand for me. That national anthem does not speak for me.”
    So, I will simply say that Miss So Proud Of Herself is merely a byproduct of her entire environment. Its where she lives and works and has her life.
    Why would an American flag in an American classroom make her feel uncomfortable? Is it out of place in 11th grade history in 2021?
