Sandbox – 29aug21

[The genesis of our wildfires.  Here’s a topic everyone is afraid of discussing.  Almost all of our wildfires are manmade – they are started by indigents, crazies, and people with a political agenda.  The fires started by accidents and natural causes are well-known, few and far in between.  However, our politicians, liberal activists, and media of all hues treat western wildfires as if they were ‘acts of God’, and therefore their genesis need not be questioned, let alone examined, any further.  Given the number of annual wildfires, notice how rare is there any subsequent mention of arson investigations or what these may have discovered.  It seems that the ‘vulnerable underprivileged’ have a natural right to start fires and then be left alone.  And it is not a stretch to imagine the damage anti-American terrorists can do in a free country by simply setting wildfires with easily fabricated, time-delayed pyrotechnic devices.  But from what the public sees, our authorities neither suspect nor pursue such errant behavior – the fires just magically flare up and cause totally acceptable devastation.  gjr]

    Well, if the cause isn’t reported, you can pretty much count on it being a transient.
    I just assume that the fire sources are evenly split…lightning, power line in the middle of nowhere, homeless nest. The close-to-town variety is probably from somebody who is a regular in the police log, at least those fires have the advantage of being near a road. Of course, there’s nothing to be done about the homeless until we provide them all with apartments and an allowance.
    Judging from the news and my own lyin’ eyes there’s not a lot of mitigation going on. The main effort by the county seems to consist of inventing ‘zones’ and then telling people when to evacuate with little other news, you’ll have to read Yubanet (the only source for The Union, KNCO, or KVMR so far as I can tell) and use social media to actually understand the cadence of a fire event. Drive around and check out the overgrowth for yourself. Blame Republicans for global warmingcooling climate change and you provide yourself an out for any aggressive clearing policy, worrying about forests is a white privilege thing in any case.

    On the topic of psychos setting fires (arsonists) there is only one thing I have to contribute:
    A while back on these pages, I was shocked and appalled that a friggin illegal alien dirtbag from MS-13 country had shot and killed FOUR elderly Americans in Northern Nevada. He worked his way from Carson City to Reno and I figured Tahoe would be next. Anyway, thr response from one of the then ‘jons’ was, to paraphrase accurately, “Why do you care? So, a mentality ill person killed some people.” Hmmm. Nothing to do with illegals you racist, it was just a mentality ill person. Nothing to see here.
    That says it all to me. Arsonists, murderers, pouring a bucket on diarrhea on passerbys, whatever despicable acts of violence and the extremes of social deviancy one can or cannot imagine….well, just sweep it all under the carpet and shrug one’s shoulders and say it was mentality illness, not homelessness, not illegals sneaking into our country like the criminals they are…just mental illness. Nothing to see here.

    “I would never have known she was 74 by the way she acted,” she said.
    Koontz, who worked at a Walmart and as a manicurist at a local salon, was remembered by co-workers Tuesday as a positive woman who loved wearing bright colors. Her Walmart colleagues wore memorial buttons with her picture.
    She was “the only person I know that could come to work wearing lime green glasses and lime green crocs and rock it,” said Teri Bower, who works at the store.
    Koontz and her daughter were best friends, Bower said, and the mother had saved up money and surprised her daughter with a trip to Las Vegas for her 21st birthday in December.
    Bower said the killings had shaken the quiet community where everyone knows everyone and big news is a pending storm “or a bear running down Main Street.”
    “This does not happen around here,” Bower said. “It’s crazy.””

    To be fair, I’ve never noticed them being advocates for much of anything. Better to just hew to the Trump/Hitler topic and stick it to the Deplorables. The endorphin rush is delicious, stay for the after-jab mint. Ignore and continue on.
    I’m unconvinced whether the Blue Mob is strictly anti-West or merely in favor of the normalization of mental illness and street crime (THEY HAVE INSURANCE AFTER ALL!! DO YOU FAVOR PEOPLE OR BUILDINGS!??!). The relationship between tearing down statues and the newfound reverence for Men In Dresses exists, but I’m still trying to twizzle out a common cause.
    All the Woke Rebellion really lacks is a Stalin or Napoleon to jump in front of the mob, I’m unsure whether the current ruling class can continue to steer them. Given the newfound abilities to surveil and manipulate the population, you can expect a more dialed in than usual central government. I don’t expect that the decimal clock will get invented this time around though.

And if voting down AAction is not anti-black, I don’t know what is.

    Fox, I think I lost ya along the way. Maybe I just can’t follow much this morning. A Action is one of those things that Sandra Day O’Connor said that we will let it continue for awhile, but hopefully our society will get to a place where Affirmative Action is not needed and thus a mute point. Discrimination is mostly criminal in the US, Anyway, good morning.

    Oh, the Asians care alright. Each identity group pulls out their big Guns when it’s their ox being gored.     6% is a new number for me. 6% of the general population, or 6% of the darker of the minority communities commit 90% of the black homicides. Ok, I will come out and say it. ‘Black on black crime.’ It seems sooo un-PC. Very much un-Woke. Felt weird, yet I am glad I got that off my chest.

    I’ve caught them disappearing my comments altogether, to everyone else… I can see them when I’ve logged in, or use a browser that has cookies identifying me… but if I use a private browser… nothing. There’d be a group of comments that would typically expand when clicked… only it wouldn’t

    Anyway, I for one am very interested in the social scene and woke America and women’s rights. Great Britain (the country that saved our Wa Compost reporter from the raping and pillaging hordes) has been at the forefront of the TERF terrorists. The term TERF comes from the violent British dudes who due to a mental disorder, think they are women and equal to women in all aspects. Many things come from America and is picked up in Europe. Not so with the self-named Queer Culture. Its genius is in Merry Ole England. Yes, it’s OK to say Queer again as per their self-identification of choice.
    It makes me sick to my stomach how the Trannies have not only rode on the backs of our long hard fought Women’s Movement, but has hijacked our Women’s movement. Add the “new wave feminists in with the pretenders, the free loaders, the imposters.
    I make me ill when I think of all the life time of dedicated work (and single issue focus) that our contemporary women have gone through to get us where we are now. Domestic violence laws, financial literacy for those who got divorced and are suddenly without means, education for women, sexual assault laws against women (even hookers), job training, etc.
    When I think of some of those 2nd Wave feminists who now are in their 60’s and 70’s, icons the struggle and respected academics in their own right….when I think of a 70 year old woman speaking at a women’s group to be shouted down and pummeled with the fists of 6’2’ strong biological males….it makes my blood boil. Old ladies and even middle aged women knocked to the ground and beat upon for caring about women’s rights. And the Trannies that commit such brutal violent acts against the weaker and fairer sex always seem to be biological males. It’s like they are Women haters.
    The list is long. Those who have been denounced and harassed and threaten physically for being TERFS (trans exclusionary radical feminists) include JR Rowling’s, Dr. Renee Richards (a true pioneer in trans-sports), Martina Navrátilová (one of the all time women tennis player greats and lesbian), Camille Anna Paglia ( an American feminist academic and social critic who identifies as male) and even Tammy Bruce who was was sworn in as the youngest woman at the time to lead a major chapter of NOW at 26 years of age, and a self declared lesbian by choice. She used to identify as bi….you know, bi-sexual meaning there are two sexes. That’s just off the top of my head and here in the States.
    Across the Pond the British woman who fought the struggle include longer lists that I am not familiar with all the names. Most a unassuming and let their writing speak for them.
    To see these women beaten and hospitalized with broken facial bones because they disagree with what born women who run rape crisis hotlines and women’s shelters where the rubber actually meets the road…beaten because they feel people with testicles sharing spaces with women who just be sexually assaulted might be quite traumatizing to the victims of male predatory practices….well, it’s a mad, mad, mad world.
    Interesting to me that Dr. Thomas Sowell is labeled a American social philosopher. Good as label as any, I reckon.
    Yes, what is going on inside our campuses, in the entertainment-media industrial complexes, the rise and fall of the Woke, I find very interesting and thus I learn toward following the changing social-Marxist or social-Maoist culture.
    Such items may be of little interest to you, Paul empty emery, as you have said you don’t care about our current VP of the United States and a host of other topics. Far enough. Don is into following the Chinese influence and poisoning of America, Gregory focuses on the sciences, and so forth. To each his own. Not all topics interest me either.
