    Elder has surged past Newsom in Google search inquiries over the last two weeks, according to Google Trends, suggesting that Newsom’s most prominent Republican challenger for his job is growing in notoriety as Election Day approaches.
    When broken down, the search data shows the top three related searches for Elder are “Larry Elder for governor,” “Larry Elder running for governor,” and “Larry Elder for governor website.”
    Meanwhile, the top related searches for Newsom revolved around his highly-publicized French Laundry scandal, with “Gavin Newsom French Laundry” taking the top spot.

    I was heading up to brunswick to get a haircut near grocery outlet, saw the beginnings of the smoke. By the time i parked and checked they got an evac alert came out and yelled we are evacuating NOW! Absolute mess of bad drivers who cant merge properly.
    I slid out and cut back by the movie theater and popped out by safeway. Gridlock as they closed 49 and those cars getting added to the chaos.
    Now its 60 acres. Prayers for GV!

    My tale of fire.
    As most of you know, I rarely go to GV, maybe once a month, sometimes twice, but not often.
    Need to pick up RX today cause tomorrow with be busy with the tooth doc. Anyway, left the humble abode @ 3:30 headed up to GV, got off at Idaho-Maryland. Plan was to hit a store on Idaho Maryland and then up Sutton to Rite-Aide (Thrifties). Saw a fire captain or chefs vehicle talking to two older shirtless potbellied drunks/homeless. They were on foot. Them old boys needed a shave, a haircut, and a shower. Anyway, I pulled into the store on Ida-Mary just as they locked the doors. Evacuating. Darn, I was still before the fire and timing was off by 30 seconds. I continued heading up to Rite-Aid and suddenly they closed it off at Sutton. What timing. Took awhile to do a Uy but people were patient and it was a beautiful afternoon with nice a nice shot of the smokestack plum. So, I made it back home. Talk about timing. All of a sudden there are 5-7 cars coming up the wrong road (the bad road). Few take the bad road if they don’t have to. We take the ‘good road.’ Traffic out there! Rarely see anybody come up the bad road, maybe a couple times a day. And they are driving shiny new cars and turning around farther up and what the hay is going on? sez Mr.T.
    Come to find out and unbeknownst to me, Hwy 20 got closed off at Mooney Flat right after I got to my humble abode. So, I walked out and talked to this fine young lady in a fine car and when started to apologize for some reason, I stopped her. What’s going on? She explained that the traffic is backed up for miles . She did not know why, I figured a bad accident cause Indidn’t see smoke that direction. I smiled and said, “You are not the first one, nor will you be the last.” I wished her good luck making a left on the Highway. 🙂
    Realtors, plumbers, cement trucks, even county building department guys, animal control, and others all use Google maps. Google Maps still has the end of my road going through to a back way which you can work your way to Big Oak Valley and out near Hamilton-Smartsville Rd if 20 E is closed. That road has been closed-blocked off for years, ROFLMAO. I sure would not want to drive a nice shiny low to the ground car on the bad road, then up to the top. No place to turn around, very rocks, very narrow, very rough….and back back down. Even speeders can’t speed.

    Darn Walt. I heard the spotter plane and a bigger plane earlier today, but I didn’t bother to look up. The dogs were howling at the sky, so they picked up on the sirens up at your abode. I heard a bit of a ruckus, but it was not overhead so I didn’t even bother to check what the tarnation is going on.
    Hey, what does fire retardant taste like? Did the red stuff that fall from sky get your vegggies? Probably won’t hurt squash. Been hacking my squash back. Too much love and too much of a good thing. Easier to toss them.
    So Walt, I guess you don’t need any prune juice after today’s excitement. A fire that close with clean you out. 🙂
    They still are coming up the back road. Blue pickup just went by, but the lower road won’t take you to the old pack way to the range either. He must be heading to the lower road. Another blocked road with no signs.
    Well, here she comes now. Lady in a Subaru. County looking, blonde. Alone. I saw her stop in front of the humblest of abodes and she must have been checking her Mapquest or Google Maps. She is heading back down now. I would gladly be a neighborly fellow if the would roll down their windows and ask a question, like where am I? My road ain’t marked with a sign, lol
    But, nooooo. They think they know it all and drive a lot more humble as I wave to them goodbye with a big grin and there sour faces.
    Shit. There does a white Mercedes! Wonder what she looks like. I will find out in a few minutes.

Polls suggest that white, conservative voters will dominate the recall, while voters of color stay home.

Heck, R’s are now only 24% of the state. I am behind the times. Thought we had 29%. Anyway….what are the odds? Blue, bluest of blue and biggest of all the Lefty Big Blue States with a R Governor.
