    PaulE 836am – You’re absolutely right. I think that, like Trump, Cuomo should not have resigned, and instead should declare his candidacy for the next term. DeBlasio should do the same, stick in there – damn the torpedos, full steam ahead. New Yorkers deserve nothing less.

    The Access Hollywood tape was held back for months until released as the October Surprise in 2016. It was on tape, out in the open, and Trump won the election. The voters spoke loud and clear when they cast their ballots as the Blue Wall crumbled.
    The main difference between Trump and Cuomo was that Trump was not in any office when the transgressions occurred, while Andrew Cuomo alleged transgressions happened while he was in office and after he was elected Governor. The NY State House is going through the impeachment process and reviewing 74,000 pieces of evidence sited in her 168 page report. To me, the female State Trooper’s account is one of the most damning.
    I, for one, am not calling for Cuomo to resign. I believe Chris Cuomo should resign or get the ax as CNN’s most popular host for his total disregard of (former) journalist standards and ethics. But, that is corporate’s decision to make. As Chris said, cable host part time, brother full time.
    I agree with Dr. Rebane that Governor Ralph Northam should not be given the boot as Governor of Virginia at the time for wearing either a blackface of a Klan hood while in college. That was in the past many years ago.
    Andrew Cuomo will never resign….until the eve of a guaranteed impeachment by the NY House to save his reputation. Kinds hard to release the smear campaign of his Bimbo squad with the NY State AG’s report and his smear campaign members already “resigning”. Times Up has a lot to answer for.
    Silence is violence and ‘I Believe Her’ and all that shifting sand situational ethics song and dance.

    New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced he is “stepping aside” from his office.
    Cuomo called the impeachment investigation into him “politically motivated” — but added that he was stepping down because he would “never want to be unhelpful in any way.”
    “I’m a New Yorker, born and bred. I’m a fighter and my instinct is to fight through this controversy because I truly believe it is politically motivated, I believe it is unfair and it is untruthful and I believe it demonizes behavior that is unsustainable for society,” he said.
    Cuomo continued: “New York tough means New York loving, and I love New York, and I love you. I would never want to be unhelpful in any way.”

    It is not news that Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a charter member of “The Squad,” traffics in anti-Semitic tropes. The Washington Post points this out today:
    Greenblatt called Tlaib’s unwillingness to clarify antisemitic remarks “a lesson of the Trump era” characterized by a refusal to apologize for anything. “Reckless words lead to reckless things,” he told me.
    Milbank no doubt calls this kind of ventriloquist journalism “reporting.” Of course, aside from concluding that perhaps, just maybe, Tlaib is in fact anti-Semitic, this account deliberately elides acknowledging who are the predominant perpetrators of violence against Jews, just as the left ignores who is the predominant offender against Asians today: it is coming from the left. The New York Times recently reported on rising violence against Asians in the San Francisco Bay Area without once mentioning the predominant race of the people committing assaults on Asians, leaving the impression that it is Trumpsters, even though the number of Trump supporters in the Bay Area can meet in a phone booth.
    Clearly we need to end the eviction moratorium soon, since Trump is living rent-free inside the heads of the media and the left (but I repeat. . .)
