   The media is so in the bag for somebody or the other (typically youknowwho, but not always) that it’s probably just best to ignore anything that’s not a full primary source with it’s sourcing. That’s the beauty of youtube (and it’s brethren) video, it’s hard to lie about riot footage or a public statement by President Potato.

    Apparently the feds are now restricting ‘certain’ citizens civil liberties without due process or recourse of appeal.
    As long as they get away with it, they will expand the process to eventually include all of us unless they are slapped down by the courts.
    I realize the basic idea is not new. The protection from being detained without probable cause was done away with decades ago and property being confiscated without due process is still being abused despite several court decisions to the contrary.
    So – along with the great new idea of having the social media companies ‘working’ with the feds to block protected free speech, we are traveling right along the CCP developed ‘social credit’ system to a Brave New World.
    But at least we don’t have any of Trump’s mean tweets.

And all claimed owners of the bag of money would be able to show up in court to prove the bag of money is innocent (yes, they have to prove the innocence) and that they were the proper owners of the bag.

    Paul, we covered the “noose” extensively at the time. It’s a bloody mockup, what one might expect for a middle school Drama department. The crosspiece barely clears the head of an Asian woman of middling height standing beneath it. The knot is faked… not a hangman’s noose. And the vertical supports are not robust to hang anything that isn’t cooperative… a sack of potatoes, perhaps.
    So, either you’re faking it, or your cognitive decline matches Biden’s. Sad.

    We have already circled the ‘insurrection’ definition barn twice. Your definition is both lame and dysfunctional. It would define every act of crime from bank robbery to jay walking as an insurrection because they are “instances of revolting against civil authority or an established government.” Any act that can credibly called an insurrection has to minimally have had a plan to bring down an existing government and substitute a new government in waiting. None of this happened, and no one is even being charged with insurrection. Milling around or even rioting in a government building with no unified leadership or purpose is not an insurrection. This is lap three.
    So here are two other questions you won’t touch. Why has no one been charged and hundreds still being held in solitary six months after the event? Why won’t the feds release the killer capitol cop’s name along with 14,000 hours of security video that would show what really happened in the Capitol on 6 Jan?

    I knew from the get-go this morning when you sobered up I KNEW you would be posting, once again, a definition of the word ‘insurrection’. Just did not know the exact time. Figured if would be leading your second post. You are in good company with the lefty statists on the Union’s opinion comments. The love to post Webster’s Dictionary, but only when it comes to insurrection. Other than that lone example, it’s all hyperbole. Theses are the same folks who are so ignorant they would drink fish tank cleaner, ROFLMA.
    Now Paul, tell us what the legal definition of insurrection is. That’s all that matters under equal protection under the law. Even the pair that threw the fire extinguishers at the Capitol Police have not been charged insurrection. The only shot fired was by an unknown officer was directed at an unarmed woman. A veteran no less. No wonder why Janet Napolitano put veterans on the terror watch list in Obama’s first term.
    The convictions so far include trespassing of two grandmothers (unarmed), one case dropped, another ‘insurrectionist’ got a fine and 100 hours of community service. The lego set of the US Capital Building found at the home of one of the co-conspirators turned out to be still in the box, and the Q Anon Shaman (whom the media jumped to label as the ringleader of the insurrection):has been transferred to a federal mental institution because the Feds have some serious concerns he is not competent to stand trial. Wonder what their first clue was???
    Interesting to note that some of the flags the storming mob were carrying were of fictitious countries and now the media (National Geographic of all news mags) is calling Viking hammers as a racist symbol.
    To be fair, I have seen more crazy dressed up fans with painted faces at a Minnesota Vikings football game on any given Sunday, not to mention more crazies than Q Anon Shaman that you could ever imagine.
    The gallows: looks like the builders of the gallows were a wee bit shy on the crossbeam. Measure once, cut twice. Bet that lumber is worth a fortune today, not so expensive a mere 5 months ago. Doubt and of the rioters could afford to build it today.
