Although I’d be surprised if he lives another year, Ms. Harris might help him down the steps for one thing, there’s some truth to that.
It really is different this time. The gates are quickly closing shut on a Surveillance State. Currently, the bureaucracy and it’s corporate division have made a deal with the Blue Mob, but once the controls are in place it’s hard to say what policies will appeal to The State…aside from a permanent place at the seat of power naturally.
Bummer about Trump. He at least was a stick in the spokes of The Party, but I expect it was always too late.

I think there is another, positive way of looking at the situation we now find ourselves in: there are now market niches and opportunities for unbiased news, unbiased social media, and alternatives to current biased big tech. I think forward looking entrepreneurs (Trump?, undoubtedly a better businessman than a politician) have an opportunity to start (or acquire and grow) unbiased (or conservatively biased) news organization as alternatives to the liberal, fake news purveying CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox hegemony. There is already a built-in market of half the country which actively despises what they are currently getting from the lamestream media, and yearning for something that reflects their conservative values. Not only would it help the country by bringing balance to the news, it would also help restrain the existing liberal monopoly as over 100 million viewers depart for fairer news climes.
There is also a need for uncensored versions of Twitter (Parler is a good start), Google search, Youtube (Google owned) and Facebook. There are tremendous opportunities and fortunes to be made with existing markets just crying to be served. (Even DuckDuckGo search is biased; I recently did a search of “Rudy Giuliani” and was shown almost exclusively articles by CNN and the like; almost identical to the same Google search). People want freedom and do not want to be manipulated by being fed false information (a la Goebbels).
Many corporations have also become political leftists; their nonpolitical competitors now have a great marketing opportunity to take away huge market share from the likes of Kohls, Bed, Bath and Beyond (which stopped selling the My Pillow product line because the My Pillow CEO was a Trump supporter), and cash cow Amazon.
I suggest that the best way to combat this lurch toward socialism is financially. Patriots should boycott the socialist leaning corporations that support leftist media via advertising and buy from those companies that only support historic American patriotic values. By advertising their patriotic stance, those companies can grab huge market share from the leftist corporations. Socialism is by its nature inferior in wealth creation to capitalism, and that is the way to beat the socialists.
My two cents worth.

That is quite true for the general public, but if you look at socialist countries, you’ll notice they still have a sizable amount of very wealthy and well connected folks that are doing quite well with socialism. Italy, Greece and even Venezuela come right to mind.
They have no problem convincing the general public to vote to continue the status quo.
As far as coming up with another Twitter – good luck. There was an article about that very subject and the enormous problems any such venture would face.
You do notice that Parler WAS a good start. A little too good and now it’s gone. They have a web site, but their mobile app is apparently non-functional.
There are steps you can personally take to help companies you like politically, but pretty soon it’s going to be impossible to avoid patronizing the companies you don’t like.

I would agree with what would seem to be common sense, but I doubt there isn’t a company in this nations who witnessed what happened to Under Armour when Plank endorsed Trump in 2017. UA went from a decade long rise in valuation, in 2016 made nearly 200 million. After the Trump debacle it’s stocks crashed and in a single year went from +200 million to -48 million. In 2018 it lost another 46 million. I doubt there are many angel investors who would want to underwrite a hard right wing group now – especially after the attempted overthrow of our government.

The real lesson there is not the group, you can always find a couple of hundred people with exotic politics in a city, but that the city allows it to happen.
There’s a lot bigger underlying rot in the system than a few crazy people with torches although they make good photo ops. Universities are the miner’s canary in this case but I’m afraid the mind virus is worming it’s way through most large organizations. When it comes up against an effective counterforce is when things get more interesting.
