Aha. The Hunter web of an unsavory cast of characters. I do not expect anyone to watch a podcast of Dan Bongino, but this one kinda eyebrow raising. Usually I just watch a couple minutes, but Dan has not been wrong yet. Why do the same names appear around every Dem scandal…of hushed scandal?? Or ‘nothing to see here scandal’. Mueller, Rosenstein, Roswell, 🇨🇳 Red China, Hillary and Joe Biden.

Bill Barr’s hilarious letter of resignation,
It is written in what appears to be the closest thing this republic has for Courtier Speak. It is by turns insufferably self-important and cloyingly obsequious. I mean, Christamighty, even Machiavelli was against flattery of this truckling sort. Hamlet calls it “the candied tongue.”
“I am greatly honoured that you called on me to serve your administration and the American people once again as Attorney General. I am proud to have played a role in the many successes and unprecedented achievements you have delivered for the American people. Your 2016 victory speech in which you reached out to your opponents and called for working together for the benefit of the American people was immediately met by a partisan onslaught against you in which no tactic, no matter how abusive and deceitful, was out of bounds. The nadir of this campaign was the effort to cripple, if not oust, your administration with frenzied and baseless accusations of collusion with Russia.”
In this letter, Barr makes Polonius look like Clint Eastwood. And I especially enjoy the Pip-Pip-Old-Bean, Windsor-Court spelling of “honored.” There’s majesty in that extra “U,” I tell you.

Hey Dungpile.. Do you remember what years “O” was in office?
“Early last week, Axios published a bombshell report that a woman named Fang Fang, aka Christine Fang, forged ties with Swalwell while he was a city council member in Dublin, Calif.
According to the report, Fang helped fundraise for Swalwell’s 2014 reelection campaign and placed an intern in his office. Fang reportedly forged other ties with Democratic politicians, even engaging in sexual relations with at least two Midwestern mayors.
“We found out that Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell was infiltrated by an alleged Chinese spy, this spy cozied up to Swalwell, raised funds for his 2014 campaign and even planted an intern in his office and that relationship continued until the FBI briefed him in 2015, and that was some very good reporting done by Axios,” she said.”

Regarding the drbiden kerfuffle, pellini, Frisch, Kenney Jones are having a ball by comparing Mrs. Biden’s and Mr. Rebane’s use of the Dr title. I bring the BBC styleguide into evidence…
    “Doctor
Use the title Dr (always abbreviated) for doctors of medicine, scientific doctors and church ministers who hold doctorates – but only when it is relevant. So it would be Mr Liam Fox. But do not use Dr for politicians who have a doctorate in politics, history etc. Surgeons should be referred to as Mr/Mrs/Ms.”
Mrs.Biden it is. Dr Rebane it can be.

Couple of the fancy lads at Pellines Catbox seem to be overly impressed with letters………

“Now that leaves the question: What to call people who have other non-medical degrees that are labeled “doctorates”? The most common such degree is the one my wife and I have, as lawyers: A J.D., which means Juris Doctor. (Unlike in other fields, most law professors don’t have a Ph.D. or the rare specialized legal Ph.D. analogs, like a J.S.D.) And lawyers in America definitely don’t get called “Dr.”
Then there is the “Ed.D.” To my knowledge, there isn’t a fixed custom among the general public as to whether to call people with Ed.D.s “Dr.,” the way there is a fixed custom as to people with J.D.s (for whom, again, the answer is “no no no”). I assume there isn’t such a custom in part because Ed.D.s aren’t that common. There’s also the complication that Ed.D.s may differ at different institutions.
But at the University of Delaware, where Jill Biden got her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, the Ed.D. appears much more like a J.D. (or perhaps a M.S. or M.A.) than like a Ph.D. The Ph.D. program is a full-time 4-5 year program; the Ed.D. program is a part-time 3-4 year program (though I should note that a master’s degree is required for entry). Recall that a J.D. is generally 3 years full-time, though without at thesis; M.S.s and M.A.s tend to be 1½ to 2 years full-time, with a thesis.
[UPDATE: I’ve confirmed that, when Jill Biden was in the Ed.D. program, it required 54 credits of coursework (including 12 research credits), which means a workload corresponding to about 14 3-hour-per-week semester-long courses, plus the research time. By way of comparison, using roughly the same credit=hour-per-week during a semester calculation, the 3-year J.D.s require 83 credit hours, some of which also often correspond to research or to practicums. The Ed.D. is thus roughly comparable to a 2-year full-time professional program.]
And while the hallmark of a Ph.D. is generally a dissertation that constitutes a substantial original work of scholarship—something that adds materially to the body of the discipline’s theoretical knowledge—the Delaware Ed.D. does not require that. A thesis is required, but the University of Delaware describes it as an “educational leadership portfolio” that “addresses problem of local, practical importance,” as opposed to the Ph.D. requirement of a “dissertation” that “addresses problem of generalizable significance.” More specifically, the thesis is an ‘Executive Position Paper’:”

Relax boys….her Doctorate of Education was that which allowed her to “sharp elbow” her way into educational management and away from those horrible, horrible students.
I’ve seen the process in real time in my own family.

    The Jill Biden outrage.
Some say the WSJ opinion writer who wrote the piece on Jill will never work again. Whoopi Goldberg says she should be the next Surgeon General because she has a doctorate.
My take is this: A rich lady sitting around the house bored with no kids to raise (besides her husband) decides at 55 years old to get a doctorate in education. I say, “You go girl.” A lot of our seniors go to Sierra College to continue their education or take classes in arts and crafts and other non-demanding courses to get out of the house and improve themselves. A lot seemed to have enrolled in American River College’s grant writing class, which is the most important asset if one works for a non-profit or specially a local government like Nevada City.
Matt Walsh says, “You go girl, but you have been cancelled.” Wonder how long until the K Joneses of the world call her a ho and release Jill’s private conversations or Punchy goes off the rails for hours over Jill’s choice of footwear. I won’t hold my breath.

“Doctor is an academic title that originates from the Latin word of the same spelling and meaning.[1] The word is originally an agentive noun of the Latin verb docēre [dɔˈkeːrɛ] ‘to teach’. It has been used as an academic title in Europe since the 13th century, when the first doctorates were awarded at the University of Bologna and the University of Paris. Having become established in European universities, this usage spread around the world. Contracted “Dr” or “Dr.”, it is used as a designation for a person who has obtained a doctorate (e.g., PhD). In many parts of the world it is also used by medical practitioners, regardless of whether they hold a doctoral-level degree.”
The Latin verb docēre [dɔˈkeːrɛ] means to teach. This should be self explanatory to all but the most dim among us. Dr. Biden is a teacher. End of story.
