I have to admit that in a Biden triumph, it’ll be funny watching them point the nutrient tank containing a crooked old perv at the crowd. Hard to say if he’ll know what the occasion is beyond the snacks promised for later. The Blue Mob will roar in approval, the DOJ will memory-hole a whole buncha matters, life goes on. There’s a great deal of ruin in a nation.
Even a Trump victory probably just puts off the inevitable. Nations that lack an existential threat tend to become not-nations over time. By the time China gets more kinetic, the remaining locks, stocks, and barrels will be largely controlled by them in any case. That’s the beauty of the financialization of a country, patriotism and ownership receive a divorce.

There is no Trump surge. Biden up by 7.8 in RCP consensus polling. that’s about the same number he’s held wince July 6, going up or down a point or two here and there. There has been no Trump Bump like there was in’16

Way off current events, but did you know 100,000 Canadians came out to rally for Trump in a major Canadian city? Big good time jovial events across Canada. Out on the srreets, but staying on sidewalks cheering at passing horns, Trump banners flying everywhere, folks with great signs and banners; a good time had by all…followed by a rock ’em sock ’em “We love Trump” pep-rally downtown. Beautiful day to boot. Perfect.
I haven’t heard those numbers since Obama went to Berlin (200,000) at the start of his rein. Of course, that was the same “gotta look cool” cat that ended his Presidentcy flying off to China to meet with all the world’s dignitaries..the same Kool Kat that had to exit AF One that day through the belly exit door.
