No doubt, mostly from Democracy Now! (I keed, I keed). Of course, if you guys dropped your syndicated ‘news’ show, the spice would quit flowing to the station.
It depends on the thing. When possible, I make an effort to go to original documents and raw footage. You won’t learn a thing about the Blue Mob riots in Portland, etc. by watching the news, it’s all on youtube and twitter from individuals. The best riot footage is skipping through the long-form (5+ hours!) of multi-stream raw footage on youtube from some users. So…raw video, original documents or leaks, actual video of political figures without the editing.
National news, usually from the ‘world news’ section of foreign newspapers. Not only do they avoid the editorializing but they also don’t fixate on Trump (like, well, you do). You’d hardly know that there was a fooferaw going on in Armenia right now unless you go to page 12 of US sources. Singapore isn’t a bad source given English language and a lack of a dog in the fight.
For editorials, the privately produced youtube videos by reasonable left-wing folks like Bret Weinstein. Libertarian short-takes by someone like styxhexenhammer. Traditionalist talk by someone like Carl Benjamin (Sargon). The more radical right wingers are too repetitive plus they’ve all been kicked off of the communications monopolies in any case. Free speech is an illusion these days. The Right talks about the state of the world and how it sucks, the Left talks about Trump Trump Trump. It’s just like here.
Occasionally someones blog, but mostly for entertainment.
When something happened in the last half hour, it’s hard to beat 4chan. They’re always looking for something to mock. Same with zerohedge.
What I don’t think is worth the time, although I get tricked now and again, NYT, the smoking remnants of the news/life magazines (compare a Harpers from 1970 to a current one), TV of any kind. The combination of modern MSM journalists’ insane politics with their age, likely a side effect of declining budgets, makes reading their work rather useless.

The analysts also see off-campus learning due to COVID-19, a smaller independent vote and voter registration trends favoring Trump.

re BillT 1244pm – NancyP has again shown that she is innumerate and a blithering idiot to boot. Anything that departs from cynical leftwing political machinations is foreign to her. Someone worth over $10B owing $400M to various creditors is inconsequential; most consumers carry a larger percentage of debt to net worth than that. And for Trump to be accused of being a national security risk because of that is beyond ludicrous. What is more worrisome is all the millions of Democrat voters who are also dumb enough to take Pelosi’s words seriously – now those guys in a voting booth are a real national security threat.
