BillT: “No, Paul Emery the News Director of a tiny FM radio station that cannot survive without government handouts,”
You might as well hire Alex Jones as News Director of KNCO.
I suppose that news people just pretend to be non-partisan. Paul is probably too old to bother anymore.
The handouts give me an idea for an interesting research project. You do have to wonder how many Soros front organizations are feeding all of the hippie small FM stations nationally. It could be a parallel effort to all of the DA campaigns nationwide and it wouldn’t cost much. Gotta keep that Amy Goodman on the air after all.

LABOR DEPARTMENT’S DISGRACEFUL DISCRIMINATION CASE AGAINST ORACLE FAILS
“In 2017, on its way out the door, the Obama Labor Department filed an action against Oracle for alleged pay discrimination against women and minority group members. The case was based on a flawed — indeed an indefensible — statistical analysis.”
When the government has no case, it has a duty not to proceed. The government’s duty is to seek justice. It is never to try to nail a private party by prosecuting a meritless case.
“Yet, that’s what the Trump Department of Labor did here. Oracle was required to spend millions of dollars to defend itself from a ludicrous case concocted by left-wing ideologues.”

‘Investigation Launched After Absentee Ballots Found Along Road In Swing State, Report Says’
“We are aware of some mail including absentee ballots recovered in Greenville, Outagamie County earlier this week,” a spokesperson said. “The U.S. Postal Service is investigating this matter, and we are unable to comment further at this time.”
“The news comes after federal law enforcement officials discovered that some military ballots had been discarded in the swing state of Pennsylvania and that out of all the discarded ballots that had been opened, they all had voted for President Donald Trump.”
“Also on Thursday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced more than 100 felony charges in an illegal ballot harvesting scheme in a Democrat Primary.”
“It is an unfortunate reality that elections can be stolen outright by mail ballot fraud. Election fraud, particularly an organized mail ballot fraud scheme orchestrated by political operatives, is an affront to democracy and results in voter disenfranchisement and corruption at the highest level,” Attorney General Paxton said in a statement. “Mail ballots are vulnerable to diversion, coercion, and influence by organized vote harvesting schemes. This case demonstrates my commitment to ensuring Texas has the most secure elections in the country, and I thank the Gregg County Sheriff and District Attorney for their continued partnership. Those who try to manipulate the outcome of elections in Texas must be held accountable.”

‘Democrats Pivot To In-Person Voting, Fear Mail-In Could Lead To Problems’
“Democratic politicians and groups are beginning to push voters to vote in person or hand deliver their absentee ballots as concerns grow over what a flood of mail-in ballots may mean for the election…….
Voting by mail has become increasingly risky this year due to a high demand for absentee and mail-in ballots. During presidential primaries alone this year, hundreds of thousands of ballots cast by mail were lost, effectively disenfranchising over half a million voters.“
As NPR reported on Aug. 22:
“An extraordinarily high number of ballots — more than 550,000 — have been rejected in this year’s presidential primaries, according to a new analysis by NPR.
That’s far more than the 318,728 ballots rejected in the 2016 general election and has raised alarms about what might happen in November when tens of millions of more voters are expected to cast their ballots by mail, many for the first time.
A flood of mail-in ballots has caused primary election problems in states such as New Jersey and Wisconsin. In New Jersey, election officials found roughly 1,600 primary ballots stuffed in a bin and uncounted months after the July primary.“

Those 5 or so Texans facing felonies for fraudulent mail in ballot schemes should all move to California. Ballot harvesting is legal here.

I read this lady’s column occasionally to keep in touch with my feminine side.
    ‘THOUGHTS FROM THE AMMO LINE’
Ammo Grrrll has a request: PLAY IT AGAIN, NAN! She writes:
…..“It is my firm belief that before the Basket of Deplorables speech – and, as a writer, I will go to my grave wondering, “Why a BASKET?” — Hillary was probably coasting, or in her case, coughing and stumbling, to victory. What, one wonders, was the point of it? Her leftie loonies were already convinced we were horrible, stupid, smelly morons with bad teeth. Who was it aimed at? It was a self-indulgent piece of red meat thrown to her slobbering worshippers, even though many of them are vocal vegans, and it made Normal America really mad.
She lost. Let’s all just take a minute and go to YouTube to relive that wonderful November night. And then have a cigarette. Are you back? So any halfway-smart “consultant” would have to say, “ixnay on the insults, kids.” But heck no, they doubled down! For every bleepin’ minute of the last four years! Hate never sleeps. Derangement never takes a holiday.
A scrawny pretend “comic” in her 60’s trots out a bloody severed head of the President and is shocked when people do not laugh. Heck, she was used to getting millions without ever once being funny, so what happened this time? Don’t Americans LOVE beheading? Another humorless harridan calls the beautiful daughter of the President a “feckless bad c-word” and kept her job. The next day an elderly member of the Fonda clan consulted a Thesaurus and found another unseemly word for female genitalia to try to top the harridan. An old Italian gnome in lift shoes graced the Oscars with the brilliant riposte “EFF Trump!” And on it went. Rob Reiner alone could fill an entire course on Abnormal Psychology.
And Nancy “Good Morning” Pelosi, in whose odd, muttering mouth butter would not melt, has had to go waaaay off the rails to come up with something worse than “deplorable.” And, by Jove, she found it! Trump, his GOP allies, and supporters are “Domestic Enemies of the State.”
If there’s one thing we Americans love more than gratuitous insults, it’s some babbling Botoxed billionaire decreeing rules for thee but not for me. Tens of thousands of people have had their businesses destroyed with the one-two punch of the riots and this endless lockdown. Cooperative Americans have tried hard to wear masks, especially during the early weeks when we were all tasked with “flattening the curve.” In the halcyon days before 200 MILLION of us perished before Joe Biden finished reading his Teleprompter. Sad.
Then Nattering Nan gets “set up” by someone grabbing her mask and forcibly preventing her from wearing it in her illegal hair appointment. Even Don Lemon said, “Why didn’t she just apologize?”
Want to see how this stuff plays in America? Go into the bar at Riscky’s in Fort Worth and tell the first person you see that his daughter is a feckless c-word. Tell his black friend at the next table that if he doesn’t vote for the doddering, corrupt, white imbecile at the top of the ticket, he ain’t black. Come to my Dusty Little Village and call the Pinal County Sheriff a Domestic Enemy of the State. Be sure to bring an I.D. so people know where to locate your next of kin.
It’s not WORKING, Democrats! You learned nothing. You’re going to lose again.”

it being Frīġedæġ and all, James Howard Kunstler speaks:
“History-the-trickster has paradoxically anointed the Great Disrupter, Mr. Trump, as the agent of order while the Democrats seek to bring chaos into every quarter of American life, a party of shrieking “Karens” and men acting like women. Such as: Tom Friedman of The New York Times mewling like a little girl to Anderson Cooper on CNN Thursday night that he was “living in terror,” that “everybody should be terrified,” because Mr. Trump “refuses to commit to accepting the election results.”
Is that so? I think it was Hillary Clinton who declared just a few weeks ago that “Joe Biden should not concede the election under any circumstances” — for instance, the circumstance that he loses the election. Of course, Mr. Trump, troll supremo, is simply punking his adversaries by proposing to play fair, that is, to play by the same rules they play by. And this only causes the Democrats to retreat into the chaos that is their comfort zone, where they hop up and down like fourteen-year-old girls in a tantrum. ….”

I did like this response from the Kunstler column..
““History-the-trickster has paradoxically anointed the Great Disrupter, Mr. Trump, as the agent of order while the Democrats seek to bring chaos into every quarter of American life…”
Well put Jim. Half the country (a lot less by now), is indulging in Jungian psychological projection: where they project their own evil side upon their enemy. I am simply gobsmacked at how people can actually believe that Trump is trying to steal the elections after the Democrats voted for the guaranteed chaos which is mail-in-voting. Educated people believe this in all earnestness! How can they or anyone else every take themselves seriously again after such an insane inversion of facts and logic? You even had an economics professor on your KunstlerCast two episodes ago who thought it was the mythical “right wing” which was rioting in Democrat cities.
Perhaps the last few months have been a blessing in disguise. Like someone possessed by a demon who never before showed any signs of it, but now convulses in a macabre fit of hallucination and malevolence, the Democrats have finally revealed their true nature to the entire nation. What a spectacular and grotesque public display it’s been – mob violence, statues of America’s heroes being torn down, America’s values and its founding fathers being being slandered, police defunded, rioting, violence, murder – all of it with the Democrats’ approval. Americans (hopefully more than half the nation) are finally opening their eyes and seeing for the first time who their real enemy is.”

Looks like Trumps pathetic desperate move to pack the Supreme Court before the election is very unpopular. this will surely translate to more votes for Biden.
“A majority of Americans believe the winner of this year’s election should determine the successor to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released Friday.
Of those surveyed, 57 percent favored delaying the process until after the election, compared with only 38 percent who said Ginsberg’s seat should be filled before the election, as President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans have announced plans to do.
That comports with other polling data on the issue. A POLITICO/Morning Consult survey released earlier this week similarly found that half of those polled believed the election winner should get to nominate Ginsburg’s replacement. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that more than 60 percent of Americans agreed the winner should have the right to choose the next justice, and a Rasmussen Reports survey reported that 51 percent of “likely voters” supported Trump leaving the seat vacant until the election.”

    Daily Quotes
Upright: “The trend we are seeing of ripping families, friendships and other relationships apart because of disagreements over the direction of government is perhaps the best proof that more government entanglement in our lives is not a good thing. If we get to the point where government matters more than the people who should matter most, then it matters too much.” —Laura Hollis
For the record: “[Donald Trump] got it right [on China]. I mean, I think it was the most significant shift in U.S. foreign policy at least since the end of the Cold War.” —former National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster
Pot calling the kettle black: “Trump’s refusal to commit to the peaceful transfer of power is the behavior of a desperate would-be dictator who’d cling to office even if it meant destroying our democracy. It’s pathetic. But because he is the president, we should take his threat seriously.” —Hillary Clinton (“Hillary Clinton says Biden should not concede the election ‘under any circumstances.’” —NBC News headline, August 26)
Braying jenny: “I don’t think he’s worth the trouble [of impeaching] at this point.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Non compos mentis: “It’d also be a great day to arrest the cops that murdered Breonna Taylor.” —ESPN analyst Jalen Rose (Memo to Rose: Taylor wasn’t murdered.)
And last… “If you actually look at what [Democrats] are saying and what the deeper implications are here, it’s there is a right way … and a wrong way to be black. Ironically … that’s the very definition of racism, and it’s coming from the liberals who like to say that they see racism everywhere but they can’t recognize it when it’s coming out of their own mouth.” —Candace Owens

The reason Republicans like Trump is that he doesn’t give a shit about politics. He’s going to do what he’s gonna do. And even if Trump doesn’t get reelected, he fundamentally changed the judiciary. Trump has appointed 1/3 of the judiciary to lifetime appointments. These appointments (and the one tomorrow) will have a lasting impact on America for two generations. DJT is the man for me. Lol.

President Donald Trump has experienced ten straight days of approval ratings at or above 50 percent, according to a Rasmussen poll.
The Rasmussen poll released Friday showed that 52 percent of likely voters approve of Trump’s job performance while 48 percent disapprove.
As reporter Paul Bedard noted Friday, Trump earned a 51 percent approval rating on September 14 which has not fallen below 50 percent in ten days — it was followed by a rating of 51 percent, 52 percent, 51 percent, 53 percent, 51 percent, 50 percent, 50 percent, 52 percent, and 52 percent.
That’s the longest job approval streak that Trump has experienced since the Inauguration in 2017.

    Trump comes out with “TrumpCare”.
Part 1 of Trump’s plan is an executive order declaring Trump’s support for a law that already exists. On Sept. 25, Trump signed an order declaring that it’s the policy of the U.S. government to protect people with preexisting conditions.
Part 2 of Trump’s health care plan is a request to Congress to pass legislation banning surprise medical bills.
Part 3 is some free money for seniors, if Trump can find $6 billion somewhere and reappropriate it without provoking a lawsuit. Trump says he’ll send 33 million seniors a $200 discount card to defray the cost of prescription drugs – AKA buy some votes with Gift Cards.
“Beacon Policy Advisors called the new measures “several of the most bizarre executive orders that he has yet released. Regarding pre-existing conditions, Trump’s order is perhaps the most overblown of his whole term thus far. While these executive orders may give the president ammunition to use against Biden during the upcoming presidential debates, we expect that it will only appeal to the lowest of low information voters.”

Dianne Feinstein’s husband, University of California Regent Richard Blum, was named Thursday by the state auditor’s office as one of the regents involved in admissions scandal where UC wrongly admitted dozens of wealthy, mostly white students as favors to well-connected people.”
Rules? WE don’t need no stink’n rules”
“In one case, a regent unidentified in the audit sent an “inappropriate letter of support” directly to the UC Berkeley chancellor on behalf of a student with only a 26% chance of winning a spot off the wait list, despite the policy prohibiting efforts by regents to influence admissions decisions by going around the regular process. The applicant was admitted.”
Now for the admission of guilt,,,
“Blum told the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday that he’s done nothing wrong and that he has used his clout to get friends and family into the elite public system for years.
“I did it a bunch of times,” Blum said, adding that he has never considered it a problem to write recommendation letters bypassing the traditional admissions process. A policy prohibiting such influence has been in place throughout Blum’s 18-year tenure on the Board of Regents,”

this is what I mean by “packing” George
Don’t you find it a bit hypocritical for the Republicans to take a stand that it was not ethical or proper for the party in the white House to fill a Supreme Court vacancy in the final year of a term and then with only 5 weeks before an election decide to fill the seat with their own choice. Here’s a quote from Lindsey Graham:
“So if a vacancy occurs in their last year of their first term, guess what? You will use their words against them. I want you to use my words against me. If there’s a Republican senator in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say, ‘Lindsey Graham said let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination, and you can use my words against me and you’d be absolutely right.
“We’re setting a precedent here today, Republicans are, that in the last year – at least of a lame duck eight-year term, I would say it’s gonna be a four-year term – that you’re not gonna fill a vacant seat of the Supreme Court based on what we’re doing here today. That’s gonna be the new rule.”

RE: Walt 6:ll Totally word of mouth Walt. Show me indictments, arrests, trials and convictions and we’ll talk. Trumps own FBI Chief says it’s not a problem of any stature.

The reason Republicans like Trump is that he is dumber than a box of rocks just like they are. He views women as sexual toys, fiction as fact, laws as something to try and get around, lying to the pubic as SOP, money as the only thing that matters, soldiers who grave their lives as “losers and suckers” while he avoided military service with fake bone spurs, vigilante goon squads as patriots, the constitution as an unnecessary restriction on his power, loyalty over competence, the election as a phony farce, etc. etc. Yet people like you all cheer him on… what does that say about who you are?

    George
Here’s Sen Tom Cottons opinion in ’16. What is different about ’20?
“In a few short months, we will have a new president and new senators who can consider the next justice with the full faith of the people. Why would we cut off the national debate on the next justice? Why would we squelch the voice of the populace? Why would we deny the voters a chance to weigh in on the make-up of the Supreme Court?” March 16, 2016

    One more George
    From Senator Chuck Grassley
No. “A lifetime appointment that could dramatically impact individual freedoms and change the direction of the court for at least a generation is too important to get bogged down in politics. The American people shouldn’t be denied a voice. Do we want a court that interprets the law, or do we want a court that acts as an unelected super legislature? This year is a tremendous opportunity for our country to have a sincere and honest debate about the role of the Supreme Court in our constitutional system of government.” March 16, 2016

Oh by popular demand how about this one from good ol Mitch, the biggest hypocrite of them all
No. “The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president.” Feb. 13. 2016
“Rarely does a Supreme Court vacancy occur in the final year of a presidential term … Given that we are in the midst of the presidential election process, we believe that the American people should seize the opportunity to weigh in.” Feb. 18, 2016
