[Today the Dems’ Big Lies are dropping faster than I can record them. Some major moves in the lamestream include the sudden silence of 1) reports on the progress of fighting C19, and 2) ignoring the historical and momentous progress toward lasting Mideast peace, Palestinian resolution, and thwarting Iran that President Trump’s foreign policies have achieved – not to mention the much-needed realignment of relations with Russia, China, and North Korea. And, of course, then there’s the robust health of our economy that has been able to weather the C19 lockdowns initiated by the states, and is now on a solid road to pre-C19 recovery. All of this must be kept from the nation’s sheeple. gjr]

“Were you to look more closely, you’d see that Putin was already ensconced in Syria before Trump took office.”
I’ll say.
Syria has been a Russian client state essentially since it became, well, Syria. I don’t expect Paul to know much about Middle Eastern politics, but jeesh. He’s probably one of those guys who thought that Iraq was armed by the US. tl;dr for Paul. The Russians have bases in Syria, had bases in Syria, will likely always have bases in Syria. It’s a big deal for them, especially given the problem presented by Bosporus. He probably has Turkish ancestry so it’s worth looking into just a tiny bit.
No one trusts the Russian bear, but then no one should trust the Ottomans or their successor states. ‘Trust’ is kind of a silly idea at that level in any case. Frankly I can’t blame the Soviet Union/Russia for playing the great game in that area..after all it’s right next door plus there’s the additional magic of Muslim vs. Orthodox in the mix.

I figure that it’s just substandard education, but then the world is a big place. Lots to know. So far as I can tell the occasional Paul jab is based on a set of factlets passed on between like-minded individuals. It’s a sort of understanding based on slogan transmitted by a game of ‘telephone’.
In a way it has to be sort of freeing to not know the past, not know how anything works, not understand the underlying science, and guess at mass behavior by watching TV.

It’s interesting to think of what is really ‘Greece’ at this point. Off the top of my head, it was independent (although not a monolithic state) until the Romans showed up in 146 BC and then was a colony/dependency/whatever until the 1940’s. 2000 years!
Side note, one of the owners (of part) was Venice for a bit. If you want to check out an understudied but important thing check that out. Those guys were heavy hitters in their day. Worth at least an overview.
Amazing buildings and archaeology to die for though. I suppose it’s rather like modern Egypt in that the modern denizens have less in the way of ancestral ties than you might think to the good stuff.

Now that Paul is taking a break from “TRUMP IS DOWN 1 IN THE POLLS NYAH NYAH NYAH”, is that a reasonable statement?
I liked it better back when it was ‘should we have national healthcare’, ‘should the government pay for abortions’, ‘should we ship in untold millions of immigrants’, but now it’s just gotten plain silly. You’re either on the fast track to socialist utopia or you’re the devil incarnate.
I guess that the point is to think of the worst thing to call your enemy and ‘Hitler’ is worn out.

Does Biden Need a Higher Gear? Some Democrats Think So
Yet as Trump barrels ahead with crowded, risky rallies, some Democrats in battleground states are growing increasingly anxious about the trade-offs Biden has made. With some polls tightening since the beginning of the summer, they are warning him that virtual events may not be enough to excite voters, and urging him to intensify in-person outreach.
The concern among these Democrats is whether, in closely fought states that may be won on the margins, the Biden campaign is engaging every possible voter with an affirmative case for his candidacy, when the other side simply has more traditional tactics they are willing to use.
“It feels like asymmetric warfare,” said Matt Munsey, the Democratic chair in Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania, one of the counties Trump narrowly flipped in 2016, referring to Biden’s approach versus Trump’s.
Livestreamed events were “not necessarily reaching people,” Munsey cautioned. Biden has begun to accelerate the pace of his travel, and Munsey praised him for “getting out there more.” But he expressed frustration that Biden’s in-person events were kept so small: The campaign has been so wary about exceeding crowd limits, he said, that local leaders have complained of not being invited.
Compounding the challenge is an on-the-ground operation that was weak during the primary season and was slow to scale up in the general election. Strapped for cash after the primaries and uncertain about how to campaign amid a national lockdown, the Biden team initially refrained from greatly expanding its staff. It entered the summer without state directors in critical battlegrounds like Michigan, Florida and Pennsylvania, and efforts to establish local operations stretched deep into the summer.
Now Democrats from Florida to Nevada have worried that the team is behind where it should be in engaging some core constituencies, a problem that may also have implications for new voter registrations.
Beyond the risk of leaving voters feeling overlooked, Biden’s limited travel schedule provided ammunition to Trump, who has repeatedly mocked him for rarely straying from his Delaware home.
“You need a lot of energy to do this job properly,” Trump said at a campaign event in Phoenix on Monday, adding that “you can’t be sitting in your basement for four days.”

More testimonials for the Donald. Olivia Troye, former homeland security, terrorism, and corona virus adviser to Mike Pence for two years had this to say:
“The President’s rhetoric and his own attacks against people in his administration trying to do the work, as well as the promulgation of false narratives and incorrect information of the virus has made this ongoing response a failure.” She said Trump once mused that the Coronavirus was a good thing because as Trump stated, “I don’t like shaking hands with people. Now I don’t have to shake hands with these disgusting people.” Because of Trump’s “flat out disregard for human life” Ms. Troye said, “I am voting for Joe Biden because I truly believe we are at a time of constitutional crisis. At this point it’s country over party.”
So what about all you Uber-patriots, country or party? D 213pm – I think you’re maximally confused on the elements of proof. Nothing the president said was false on its face. Many medicos believe CDC’s Redfield is blowing smoke (I join them) with his assertion that facemasks prevent the spread of C19 better than a vaccine – have no idea where his MD is from. And the timing of the release of the vaccine is matter of time to see who was bullshitting whom. We have to remember that it was all these experts, Redfield included, who not long ago sagely advised the country that no vaccine would be available for 3-4 years; and then the president launched Warp Speed. I believe you’ve demonstrated that TDS is a broadly debilitating syndrome.

More bad news for the TDS set to ignore –
A Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday finds large majorities of black and other minority likely U.S. voters are concerned about a potential shortage of police officers in their communities.
According to the survey, 84 percent of black likely U.S. voters expressed concern about a possibile shortage of police officers, while 70 percent of other minorities, and 66 percent of whites shared the same concern.
The poll focused on the beliefs likely U.S. voters have about the recent violent attacks against police and concerns about the repercussions of these attacks.
Of those surveyed, 59 percent said they believe a war on police is happening in the country, an increase from 43 percent who thought so two years ago.
With political affiliation as a factor, 80 percent of Republicans and 60 percent of unaffiliated voters say there is a war on police, while only 39 percent of Democrats say the same.
“Following the assassination attempt on two Los Angeles County police officers this past weekend, most whites, blacks and other minority voters are in general agreement that there is a war on police in America today,” Rasmussen Reports noted.

Trumps own appointed FBI Director is warning that the Russians are interfering with our election in favor of Trump
“FBI Director Confirms Russia Is Currently Meddling In The 2020 Election
Christopher Wray’s testimony to Congress echoes the intelligence community’s warnings that Russia is trying to “denigrate” Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
“We certainly have seen very active, very active efforts by the Russians to influence our election in 2020 through what I would call more the maligned foreign influence side of things ― social media, use of proxies, state media, online journals, etc. ― in an effort to both sow divisiveness and discord and … primarily to denigrate Vice President Biden and what the Russians see as kind of an anti-Russian establishment,” he said.”

“Has CNN asked a question to anyone who’s not a Democrat? (may have missed),” The Daily Beast politics reporter Hanna Trudo asked about the overwhelming presence of Democratic voters before deleting her tweet.
“So far the questions at CNN’s drive-in #BidenTownHall sound as if they were written by Biden’s campaign: “Tell us how bad Trump is”. Reversal of the president’s ABC townhall,” columnist Miranda Devine observed.
Many critics, including Fourth Watch media analyst Steve Kaukauer, pointed out that while maintaining social distancing for the cameras, both Biden and Cooper were seen approaching each other with the former VP whispering into the anchor’s ear thinking they’ve already hit a commercial break.
“Virtually every question for Joe Biden was an invitation for him to attack President Trump, while moderator Anderson Cooper offered almost no pushback, giving Biden a total pass on his lies and misrepresentations,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said before listing subjects the former VP wasn’t asked like his economic record and his opposition to Trump’s travel ban on China early on during the coronavirus outbreak.

Now i wonder why the prez is doing so well with hispanic voters?? –
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has said in the past he would appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump for “understanding” if Mexico couldn’t make the deadline, and on Thursday he once again thanked Trump for being “respectful” of Mexico on other issues.
“It is one of the things I have to thank President Trump for, that he has been respectful,” López Obrador said, noting the United States had interfered in Mexico in the past on other issues. “Before they used to get involved, as if we were not free and sovereign,” he said, adding “not anymore, and for that we are very thankful.”
López Obrador has been criticized by the left in recent months over his friendly relations with Trump

And when exactly, Oh Knowledgeable and Benevolent Great Kahuna, did the Russians not try to sow discord and attempt to meddle with our elections? Back when they were the Soviets? The internet has changed the way we communicate and the Russians and Chinese and the North Koreans and Iran and I wonder about the Limeys (Brits), Krauts, and some other “allies” too.
Add to that the home grown terrorism of the Dems spying on us and Trump to influence the outcome of an US election. Those Obama big wigs spied on an political opponent’s campaign for purely political purposes and almost influenced an election. Outta be a law. Evil bunch, those Lefties. Worse than the Commie Bastards. Worse than that by raising the flag of Red China over Boston…with city government approval. Biden voters done did that….and do , you know, the thing all over where Biden voters gather. Homegrown America haters. Very dangerous. More than Putin by a mile. They complete you, Paul Emery.
I sold my soul to the company store.

So Emery, the DOJ didn’t try and influence voters for the past 4 years with the scam investigations and leaking bald faced lies to the media? Some of which you still peddle to this day?
Thanks for agreeing with me in advance.

So, Walt, did you hear all the head popping sounds up where you are resting up? Man, today the hills were alive with the sound of music. The sweet sound of exploding melons. Our enlightened Betters had a conniption fit. Way more than their usual hissy fit.
My my, lookie here. Oh, so this is why they were melting down this morning. I haven’t seen the media this upset since Lincoln freed the slaves. Makes sense now. So, their a method to their madness.
WILLIAM BARR TELLS IT LIKE IT IS
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/09/william-barr-tells-it-like-it-is.php
Barr seeks just the truth. He looks at all the facts, looking at his list, checking it twice. He seeks true justice before the law, not renegade gunslingers seeking notches on a junior prosecutor’s belt who prioritizes convictions in lieu of truth, Justice, and the America way.
Pop! Another one went off. Did you hear what Barr said!!!!!! It makes their blood boil and then Scanners images. Stuff no Teddy Bear ought ever see.
Bring home that lower intestine of yours and we can bar-b-que it up. Or, send it to the Smithsonian.

PaulE 717pm – You’re missing it again Paul. Wray only stated that he has evidence that the Russians are “attempting to influence” the election in favor of Trump. He has no evidence or measure of any influence the Russians had last time or are having this time. It is an allegation that you and yours always take for evidence. So what else is new?
