Led by local leftwing intellectual legend Mr Steven Frisch, the readers and yours truly have been labeled “batshit crazy” in comment streams here and leftwing blogs elsewhere for doubting or debating the science behind major public issues like preventable manmade global warming, Covid-19 response policies, and even the effect of taxes on economic behavior.  While making these hubristic accusations, they totally ignore the actual batshit crazy policies and proposals constantly issuing from the country’s putrid progressive pundits and politicians highlighted by such intellectual compositions such as the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, Common Core curriculum, the BLM and Antifa manifestos, America’s new revisionist history a la Zinn and the 1619 Project, and … the list goes on indefinitely.

Today the Left has elevated their batshit crazy propositions onto steroid levels with their claims that STEM studies are really expressions of white supremacy and racist.  More and more leftwing academicians are hoisting their true intellectual colors with such statements as from Brooklyn College Professor of Math Education Laurie Rubel who claims that math is an expression of “white supremacist patriarchy” and, joined by other pinhead peers, to insist that “math should be reevaluated because it was primarily developed by white men.” (more here)

Instead of hiding behind their beloved and well-practiced Alinsky Angle with which the socialists loudly accuse their political opposites of doing exactly what they have done and continue to do, I challenge these socialist sages to step up and publicly defend their ideas with similar dedication and depth that we of the conservetarian leanings here employ in our apologetics.  After many years in these pages, we are still looking for something besides baseless ad hominems from their side.  Where is their defense of, say, the Green New Deal, or the joys of socialism, or that ‘2+2=4’ is racist, or … .  (also see comment stream of the last Sandbox and at Bob Crabb's)

So here’s a thesis to debate – ‘It is proposed that dedicated Democrats, following in the footsteps of their political leaders and notable academics, are in various forms intellectually disabled or delinquent (aka batshit crazy).’  No one should hold their breath that this challenge will be answered.

Our president is certainly not a very likable guy. But he has accomplished one thing – he’s forced the progressives to get their cards out in the open.
We aren’t just living the dream here in America. No, we have built the dream that we want to live. The Dems don’t seem to be building the same ideas alongside us anymore. This election may be a turning point in America’s direction. Capitalism, free expression, personal protection – are all at risk.

Well – let’s see. Who came up with the ‘global warming’ or ‘climate change’ scam?
    White Euro Males.
Oh dear – what gets canceled next?
Over at Bob’s place, some idiot named Chris Peterson tries to draw parallels with the last civil war. He unfortunately hasn’t quite thought things through.
This won’t be the north vs the south or industrial vs agricultural.
And the US military will mostly be on the conservative side. Here’s his take:
“Ultimately, there will be no insurrection unless Trump loses the election, in which case he will no longer have the reins of power, which would be necessary to win such a conflict.”
Hey Chris – this isn’t about Trump winning or losing.
It’s folks watching a bunch of misfits causing mayhem while the Dems in power cower under their desks.
Most of us just won’t have it. We aren’t north or south or rural or urban – we’re everywhere.
As far as we conservatives being too fat to walk across the street – oh, OK dude – just keep thinking that. It’s always better if your enemy is ignorant.

Here are some more “peaceful” protests Frisch. Steve, this is our hometown. We both grew up there. I don’t know when the last time you went there, but in 2017 someone got shot by the Bean while we were visiting. That just doesn’t happen. Mayor Daley for sure never would have allowed that to happen. When are you liberals going to condemn the violence and the looting? Liberals are disgusting. Period.

Just to be clear Pruett, I am against all looting and shooting. I am against killing. I am against violent protest. I am an adherent of Gandhi’s philosophy of satyagraha.
But isn’t it just like a conservative to start a conversation with a false premise then challenge their perceived opponent to defend it. Steve doesn’t fall for that.

Oh, and George, just to be clear: climate change is real, Trump failed miserably on his response to Covid-19 and of course US tax policy effects economic behavior, just too much so in favor of the rich.

How special! So, before this weak comment of yours… where did you denounce the recent riots?
    Frisch 1037am
Yes, climate change is real. But it’s not heading in the direction you’ve been pointing.

It’s just a modern political version of a toe to toe Roman battle order. Up front, you got yer moms, ‘veterans’/veterans, and occasional child. Next row is shrill women and beta males who screech continuously hoping for a response from the enemy. Out back you’ve got rock hurlers, IED throwers, arsonist squad. Cavalry is made up of looters and occasional raiding parties.
Attack the front line, you end up on the front page of the newspaper. ‘Counter-protestor’ touches a person, hollering for cops begins, at least before they are defunded.
I don’t blame him for egging on the ‘peaceful protestors’ and winking at the violence. It largely works after all. The real unfortunate in all of this is the average joe who falls for these tactics and thinking that this is anything besides an insurgency in the making.
Hey, who knows? Maybe real socialism can work this time around.

    INSTAPUNDIT concurs…..

WHY WOULD A NYPD OFFICER STEP INTO BLACK-ON-BLACK VIOLENCE IN TODAY’S NEW YORK? NYPD cops don’t lift a finger as 11-year-old is beaten in broad daylight. “An 11-year-old girl was slapped, punched, kicked and even shocked with a stun gun by a group of five other girls after a basketball game around 7 p.m. Sunday on East 125th Street near Madison Avenue in Harlem. During the roughly 4-minute beatdown, cops sat idly in nearby cruisers — but they didn’t get out until the girl was bloody and bruised, a Post photographer observed.”
Getting involved would be very high-risk, and the press would probably portray it as a harmless playground scuffle that a stormtrooper used as an excuse to beat up on innocent black children.

Frisch 10:37 – “just too much so in favor of the rich.”
Good – those are the people that hire. The poor never hire.
Hey Frisch – how much money do you get from the poor vs the rich?
And what percentage of the income tax comes from the wealthy?
    See?
Thats why a tax cut usually ‘helps’ the wealthy the most.
A huge percent of the population doesn’t even pay anything.
Yet they are counted in this big expose of the ‘rich’ getting the biggest benefit.
Of course the poor don’t get any benefit – they don’t pay anything in the first place.
    Good grief.

But he’s in favor of those that support the violence.
    Because they fund his scam.
    Pretty cool, huh?
    Yur so moral, dude!

BT 2:15 – The coming (possibly even now) biggest divide in our nation will be educated children vs indoctrinated children.
This will be true even through the realms of ‘higher’ education. Employers will ignore most all diploma-bearing no-nothings in favor of home-schooled and alt-educated young people.
I think med schools will hang on for now. Even the leftists want competent care. The law schools are starting to crater but you don’t need to go to law school to pass the bar.
The real test will be the engineering schools. I’m starting to see ‘woke’ shit infiltrate that area, but someone has to build bridges that don’t fall down.
Gravity is one of those white male patriarchal constructs, but good luck ignoring it.
