[In the intro to the last Sandbox, my invitation to readers to discuss the dollar-value of human life went over like a turd in a punchbowl. It appears that the best approach to discussing the value of human lives is just to bloviate with a lot of virtue signalling thrown in. That's supposed to divert the reader from discovering that the writer has no idea what he's talking about. Public policies are supposed to be made with some regard to a broadly agreed on dollar-value of a human life, but only, I guess, if the public gives a damn. Oh well. gjr]

We are truly, probably, living in the last (not just ‘great’) Century of man. George has never specified when that Century began, but I’m fully in accord with his assessment that it will, indeed, be the last. I wish it were otherwise, Paul. but your’re not helping by spreading your learned version of insanity.

Well, hell hath froze over. A lib just said he was wrong. That’s one for the record books, even though his opinion piece was quickly deleted.
‘SHELLENBERGER: On Behalf Of Environmentalists, I Apologize For The Climate Scare’
“On behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologize for the climate scare we created over the last 30 years. Climate change is happening. It’s just not the end of the world. It’s not even our most serious environmental problem.
I may seem like a strange person to be saying all of this. I have been a climate activist for 20 years and an environmentalist for 30.
But as an energy expert asked by Congress to provide objective expert testimony, and invited by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to serve as Expert Reviewer of its next Assessment Report, I feel an obligation to apologize for how badly we environmentalists have misled the public.”

That’s a good question. Perhaps completely unchanged, there was no reason for technical advancement after all, acorns as food don’t give you a lot of wealth or time for other matters.
Perhaps Moctezuma XII and his conquering army would have swept through the place to find people to sacrifice. After all, those hearts ain’t gonna extract themselves. It takes a lot of dead people to keep the universe running properly and you can imagine how many an expansionist Aztec culture would need.

The Strategies of Dementia Politics….the cardboard canidate.
“Often Biden cannot finish a sentence. Names are vague eddies in his mind’s river of forgetfulness. He is in a far more dire mental state than a physically failing FDR was in his 1944 campaign for a fourth term.
The earlier career of a healthy Biden illustrates that he was not especially sharp even when in control of most of his faculties. We recall the former sane/nutty Biden of Neal Kinnock plagiarism, his “put y’all in chains” demagoguery, the studied racism of Biden’s riffs about a “clean” and well-spoken Obama, and the sane/insane Corn Pop stories. All are the trademark of a once fool Joe “Biden, who was at least alert when compared with his current catalepsy. If Donald Trump can be ungrammatical, Biden is agrammatical — he simply streams together half-thoughts without syntax and then abandons the sentence entirely.
If Trump repeats vocabulary, Biden increasingly searches for words, any noun, whatever its irrelevance to the point he is making. Biden seems to suffer dyscognitive seizures, in which for moments he has no idea what he is doing or saying or where he is — a tragic, nearly epileptic condition. In scary episodes, the pale, scaly, and frozen visage of Biden appears almost reptilian, like a lizard freezing and remaining stationary as it struggles to process signals of perceived danger.“

So what are the odds that Biden disappears at the last moment to be replaced by Her Nibs?
I’d say that’s an increasing possibility.
It’s a pretty sweet strategy. Crater a good economy via epidemic plus ineffective measures in Blue cities (particularly New York), blame Trump. Set loose street armies to burn and loot while at the same time activate the sleeper cells in the media, internet companies, academia to tear down historic US culture.
President Clinton pardons and/or throws funds at her partners in the endeavor. All Justice Department investigations into the coup against Trump disappear. Cancel culture becomes law, universal surveillance is amped up. Borders open, all currently existing illegal aliens are given permanent residency. Gun laws are radically increased in order to seal the deal.
The existing middle class huddles in their house with a telescreen and an Echo, ordering Chinese goods through Alexa waiting for the knock on the door for their ‘privilege’ and hate crimes. All they ever wanted was to be left alone.
Well, I’m feeling hopeful.

Different topic.
The upcoming 4th of July: It’s it a big no-no to celebrate the 4th of July this year? Not talking about the COVID effect, fireworks in the dry season, or taking your young child along with you to witness and join in the brutality of the street mobs. No, I mean regular 4th of July celebrations.
Last year Bobbie Cross was shitting bricks and all fearful and trembling that Trump was planning to declare martial law and take over the government with the aid of his military goons. Tanks rolling down Pennsylvania Ave and surrounding the White House!!! The end to our democracy…on the 4th of July.
Where do these delusional wack jobs come from?? Talk about connecting the dots, ROFLMAO.
Oh my. What a total shit for brains.
Anyway, is it ok to celebrate the 4th of July this year. I know how the Leftinistas feel the USA, think of the founding of this great country, and celebrating the 4th of July is in actuality nothing less than honoring White Supremacists…according to the DNC. Truly, the best part of that unhinged lot never made it to a fertilized egg.

I see Drudge has picked up the story.
“But until last year, I mostly avoided speaking out against the climate scare. Partly that’s because I was embarrassed. After all, I am as guilty of alarmism as any other environmentalist. For years, I referred to climate change as an “existential” threat to human civilization, and called it a “crisis.”
But mostly I was scared. I remained quiet about the climate disinformation campaign because I was afraid of losing friends and funding. The few times I summoned the courage to defend climate science from those who misrepresent it I suffered harsh consequences. And so I mostly stood by and did next to nothing as my fellow environmentalists terrified the public.
I even stood by as people in the White House and many in the news media tried to destroy the reputation and career of an outstanding scientist, good man, and friend of mine, Roger Pielke, Jr., a lifelong progressive Democrat and environmentalist who testified in favor of carbon regulations. Why did they do that? Because his research proves natural disasters aren’t getting worse.
But then, last year, things spiraled out of control.”…
“I further hope that you’ll accept my apology”.
https://environmentalprogress.org/big-news/2020/6/29/on-behalf-of-environmentalists-i-apologize-for-the-climate-scare
Rather than accept your apology, seek to change your wayward ways and the damage you have caused. A debt that may never get repaid in this lifetime.
“And in January, one out of five British children told pollsters they were having nightmares about climate change.
Whether or not you have children you must see how wrong this is. I admit I may be sensitive because I have a teenage daughter. After we talked about the science she was reassured. But her friends are deeply misinformed and thus, understandably, frightened.”
Scaring children is not cool. Perhaps your new book will “balance the books” and you will have repaid your debt to society. Hope your book sells well. You will need every penny you can scrape together as your enter your new erased life. I accept your apology and go undo the damage you have done, pilgrim.
And a word of advice: Don’t seek rehabilitation. Rehabilitate means to return to your former self. Now that you have crawled out of the darkness into the sunny side of the street, don’t go back to that evil place your formerly had your being.

Hey, it’s easy to justify not destroying Mt. Rushmore… after all, Washington and Jefferson were notorious slave owners, but Lincoln and Teddy R. remain popular even with their white privilege and role in promoting structural racism.
But what about Stone Mountain? The site of the 2nd founding of the KKK and the dedication of the massive carving was on the 100th anniversary of Lincoln’s assassination.

‘Press Sec. McEnany Utterly Destroys NYT During Briefing, Walks Out as They Scream’
“ McEnany, for her part, slammed The Times’ “absolutely irresponsible decision” to “falsely report that [Trump] was briefed on something that he, in fact, was not briefed on.”
She did not stop there, proceeding to highlight the newspaper’s abysmal record when it comes to reporting on matters related to Russia.
“And I really think that it’s time for the New York Times to step back and ask themselves why they’ve been wrong — so wrong, so often,” McEnany said.
(ROFLMAO) She specifically pointed out that the paper proclaimed “all 17 intel agencies had agreed on Russian interference, before having to issue a correction that it was only four agencies.”
McEnany also mentioned The Times’ 2017 report alleging, in her words, that “Trump campaign aides had repeated contacts with Russian intelligence,” as well as a 2019 column arguing that “the Trump campaign and Russia ‘had an overarching deal’ that the ‘quid of help in the campaign against Hillary … for the quo of a new pro-Russian foreign policy.”
After describing that preposterous accusation as an example of “the Russia hoax, which was investigated for three years with taxpayer dollars before ultimately getting an exoneration in the Mueller report,” McEnany described the “failed Russia reporting of The New York Times” as “inexcusable.”
Yet McEnany was still not finished with her epic beatdown.
“I think it’s time that The New York Times, and also The Washington Post, hand back their Pulitzers,” McEnany said.
Quote unquote. And she ain’t done by any means..

Respect for the law from a socialist what ya smokin there mayor –
Mayor Jenny Durkan is accusing Council Member Kshama Sawant of allowing hundreds of protesters into City Hall after hours and without following coronavirus health guidelines, marching protesters to the mayor’s home and encouraging protesters to occupy the city’s East Precinct, along with raising a handful of ethics concerns.
In an email to City Council President Lorena Gonzalez, the mayor argued that Sawant, a self-described socialist, is using her position as a city official “in violation of law” and for “recklessly” undermining other people’s safety “for political theatre.”
Durkan cited city law that allows the council to “punish or expel” a member for “disorderly or otherwise contemptuous behavior” — in this case spearheading a protest at Durkan’s home, which is supposed to be at a secret location due to a state confidentiality program and safety concerns. The mayor has received threats in connection with her previous role as U.S. attorney.

This comes as Fox News Channel wrapped the second quarter of 2020 with the largest audience in network history in both total day and primetime, Nielsen says.
FNC’s primetime lineup of Tucker Carlson Tonight and Hannity made cable news history with both programs breaking the all-time record set by Hannity in 1Q’20 for the highest-rated quarter for any cable news program. No shit Gregory, I see way to much of that in the local tourist zones etc. the workers too. We can not suffer another shut down of our local businesses. We have already lost too many.
My hottie has issues that means she has to be really protected and not just like the bad old days.
I do my masks, have tons of hand goo and alcohol wipes just for the car which is not a good thing for the car leather but we gotta do what we gotta do to protect our own vulnerables.

We covered this before, but I have wondered what happened to Obama’s plan to abolish the suburbs. It didn’t go away.

Well, that’s a nice little story.
So in addition to squashing the first amendment via ‘hate speech’ law and by judicious use of internet monopolies run by the Mob…and the striking of the second amendment via Biden’s platform of gun control law (check it out: https://joebiden.com/gunsafety/, including putting all black rifles under NFA), we get national zoning law enforced by withdrawal of all large sources of federal funds.
I guess this is the ‘change’ part of ‘hope and change’.
You do have to appreciate the audacity of simply disarming the public. Obviously this has nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with holding power. That, and the huge expansion of immigrant voters you can expect should seal the deal.
Well played.

JOE BIDEN’S PLAN TO ABOLISH THE SUBURBS
As discussed in the article…..it’s not his plan! The GaffeMaster isn’t much more at this point than a doll with a string in his neck that people like Booker, Schumer, and VP Harris pull when they want something.

re the Dems firearms plans – it confirms my suspicions that they know they’re not going to be able to go door to door and confiscate anything. Most of the blather boils down to taking money out of gun owners’ wallets every year in fees, licensing, etc.
Some of the proposals are really hilarious.
If you fail a background check (often this is just a govt screw up) the local police are supposed to ‘make sure’ you don’t then buy a gun illegally.
How is that accomplished?
If you are convicted of a ‘hate crime’ you would be barred from owning a firearm. And we can see how just being a conservative is soon to be a hate crime.
No more buying ‘gun parts’ by mail? Gee – could have sworn they promised not to go after ‘hunters’.
Per usual, the average voter has no clue about the un-Constitutional over-reach most of these proposals would require. If you can sue a firearms manufacturer for the miss-use or illegal use of the company’s legal product, why would this not extend to any company? If you can openly eliminate a citizen’s Constitutional rights due to a govt ‘finding’ (no hearing or court order needed) where does that stop?
They’re not so much coming for your firearms as they are for your wallet and your rights.
Just as the ‘race’ issue is being used now to push a socialist agenda, so will ‘gun control’ be used to eliminate your rights.

They will probably fail as badly with firearms as they have with drugs! I’m no longer concerned about this.
The left wants us as criminals…..time for us to embrace that!
