[The value of anything is highly subjective, always determined by a 'seller' and 'buyer' when they strike a deal.  Therefore the value of any given 'thing', e.g. human life, varies according to who is the human and who is the 'buyer'.  Any values set by third parties with no skin in the game are arbitrary and quickly circumvented by/in markets.  So consider the back window yellow diamond sign that reads 'Drive carefully, Baby inside', and another one reading 'Drive carefully, young PhD in neuro-science inside', or even one that reads 'Drive carefully, Community organizer inside'.  How would you rate the implied value of these lives?  to you? to society? gjr]

Damn, Scenes, Susan Rice is in the news, calling Trump the father of lies and defending Obama’s honor. Then she tops it off with this. Obama had his Biden, Biden has his Rice.

I agree with you totally that the text messages are total bullshit and should be ignored. That statement is good advise to anyone approached by Trumps campaign for campaibn contributions based on obvious lies that they are the only one out of a 100 that didn’t respond. Yhe fact that it came from various different people affirms it is a lie.

No takers on who was the better healer of the nation and defender of civil rights: Grant or Obama? Ok, fine. I will have the last word then.
Quote from Frederick Douglass about Grant:
“To him, more than to any other man, the Negro owes his enfranchisement,” Douglass said. Douglass eulogized Grant as “a man too broad for prejudice, too humane to despise the humblest, too great to be small at any point. In him the Negro found a protector, the Indian a friend, a vanquished foe a brother, an imperiled nation a savior.”
But then, liberals hate Douglass, too.

At this point, I don’t think that it matters who the statue is. The important thing is that the statue is important to the people they hate. This has little to do with destroying history (although it’s a desirable side effect) or punishing a bad person, but is to force submission onto traditional Americans.
Hell, it’s worked pretty well so far.

No bombshells in the book but a good shot through his own foot –
Bolton Scores Pyrrhic Victory in Court Ruling on Trump Book
(Bloomberg) — A federal judge excoriated former national security advisor John Bolton for exposing the U.S. to harm with his tell-all memoir about President Donald Trump but said it’s too late to issue an order that would stop publication of the book.
U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington on Saturday rejected the Justice Department’s last-ditch attempt to block the publication on national security grounds, paving the way for “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir” to go on sale June 23.
In his judgment, Lamberth slammed Bolton for gambling with national security and going ahead with the book before it cleared a pre-publication review by the Trump administration to ensure it did not contain classified information.
“He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability,” the judge wrote. “But these facts do not control the motion before the Court. The government has failed to establish that an injunction will prevent irreparable harm.”
He also wrote that the government is likely to prevail as the case moves to the next stage of the breach-of-contract lawsuit, which could allow it to seize Bolton’s $2 million book advance as well as any royalties he receives. President Trump unleashed on Twitter, saying Bolton must “pay a very big price.”

The trump Tulsa rally was a dud. The overflow crowds never showed up causing the cancelation of trumpy’s address the overflow crowd outside the arena. An hour before showtime only 12 people were in the overflow area. Inside the story was a little different. Ten minutes before show time the inside crowd was pretty much in the lower levels with the upper decks mostly empty. As OK spikes how many lives were saved by people NOT attending? Only time will tell.. stay tuned
And now the lies and excuses start as to why people didn’t show up. Of course, number one on the list is always “radical protesters” and certainly not the warnings and pleas by local officials who repeatedly asked that the event be postponed due to the virus.
The campaign issued this statement, “Sadly, protestors interfered with supporters, even blocking access to the metal detectors, which prevented people from entering the rally. Radical protestors, coupled with a relentless onslaught from the media, attempted to frighten off the President’s supporters. We are proud of the thousands who stuck it out,”
Multiple news teams from various networks reported seeing no such activity. Fake news I suppose once again.. Those damn lying reporters trying to take trumpy down…..again….and again… and again.. not to mention the deep state, the CIA, FBI, and numerous people who have been fired from their jobs for… duh… doing their jobs and reporting facts.

    You tell em girl! –
We cannot look to white liberals and liberal politicians to lead us toward full inclusion. Their way of thinking is the elephant in the room. All too often, they go behind closed doors to discuss the “black issue.”
And all too often, we in the black community are not included in those early discussions. White politicians speak to one or two black people, think they understand centuries of marginalization, and begin to create policies that will impact us all.
In each of the major cities with large black populations, one would be hard-pressed to find a conservative thought. These cities have been in the pocket of the Democratic Party for decades. There’s little-to-no diversity in thought or political competition.
Here’s a shining example of the subtle racism of low expectations towards black people: Liberal leaders have called out to the American people to just “give space” to rioters and looters after the killing of black people by police. They claim that there is so much pent up frustration over oppression in the black community that we just need to be allowed to vent.
Well, black people are not animals. We are not stupid. We can string together coherent sentences to communicate our frustrations, our hopes and our desires for our community. We do not need to pick up bricks, light fires and destroy our own communities to convey our need
    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/george-floyd-police-rayshard-brooks-kathy-barnette
    😉
During the days of slavery, white owners viewed us as property – and it seems as though not much has changed for some white liberals in how they view the aptitude of blacks.
Where we go from here is not a Democratic issue or a Republican issue – it’s an American issue. Respecting the dignity of every individual is key.

A vote for creeepy grampa joe is a vote for this –
A task force on criminal justice reform, charged with shaping Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s public policy agenda and intended to guide the Party’s 2020 platform, is composed of extremist members with radical views directly tied to organizations that believe America is an inherently racist country that must be fought through a radical transformation.
“Weaponized whiteness” poses an existential threat to people of color in the U.S.; police departments must undergo radical change to “better serve a race of people historically oppressed by it;” and “anything less than a radical transformation” of the U.S. is unacceptable. These are just some of the views promoted by members tasked with shaping the Democratic Party reforms of the justice system, should the party gain power in the upcoming 2020 elections.
Chiraag Bains is co-chair of the criminal justice reform task force that is guiding Biden’s policies vis-à-vis overhauling the justice system.
He is currently the director of legal strategies at the far-left George Soros-funded Demos think tank, which is currently working closely with radical activist organizations such as the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) to support “the critical and increasingly dangerous” work of protesting and organizing and stands in solidarity with the group’s demands and their declaration that anything less than a “radical transformation” of the U.S. is unacceptable.
Breitbart News previously reported that M4BL seeks a revolution to topple the U.S. capitalist system and its replacement with a socialist-style government replete with universal income, collective ownership, and the redistribution of wealth.

Consider all the crazy things of the day. The insanity of the modern university (how many thousand articles could you find on that one topic?), cancel culture, politically-based censorship on the tech ‘platform’ monopolies, cities burning, statues toppling, the abasement of large companies to the mob, multiple etcs., with nary a word to be said.
