I’ll pretend that’s a real post instead of simply another troll gathered up from your many unbiased news sources.
We already have mail-in voting and it favors Republicans. The difference, of course, is in how you do it.
I’m perfectly happy to admit that the further you dig down into the electorate, the homeless, the mentally handicapped, Alzheimer’s patients in convalescent hospitals, gang members, dead people, imaginary people, you’re going to favor whoever promises the most goodies. The Free Shit Army is a partly untapped resource for the Left.
Just imagine how heavily right the country would swing if you had to pass a civics test. Hell, a reading test.
I differ from most of the writers here (I’m guessing) in that I think that full citizenship should not be automatically conferred. Unfortunately, that sort of change in voting law would require the consumer class to give up some political power, not gonna happen. People with no skin in the game act appropriately.

Indeed…..they have been less prone to stuffing ballot boxes.
Scrubbing voter rolls….requiring ID….no felons voting…..Republican! Dead people voting, Ward Heelers with walking around money (How Sugar Frosted Barry O’s got his start), vote harvesting, ballot boxes that mysteriously appear or disappear depending on how the count is going…..Democrat.
Really wanker….why don’t you just hang out at that silly Nevada City Facebook page…where your deep thoughts and Greek Fishermans cap will be more appreciated

re: China
IT BEGINS: Japan Pays Billions To Firms To Leave China, Relocate Production Elsewhere
“The Washington Post’s Josh Rogin reported this week:
It’s difficult to gauge — in the middle of the crisis — how exactly the U.S.-China relationship is changing. But everyone senses it will never be the same. Political leaders in Washington and Beijing have put their war of words on hold for the moment. But there is clear evidence that China is planning to use the crisis to its economic and political advantage worldwide.
Inside the Beltway, Republicans attack Democrats, Joe Biden and the media for not being critical enough of the Chinese Communist Party. Democrats attack President Trump for saying “Chinese virus” and attack any Republicans who blame the coronavirus pandemic on the CCP as racist.
Yet a new poll shows that, outside the Beltway, the coronavirus crisis is actually bringing Americans together on the China issue. Republicans and Democrats now largely agree that the Chinese government bears responsibility for the spread of the pandemic, that it can’t be trusted on this or any other issue, and that the U.S. government should maintain a tough position on China on trade and overall, especially if Beijing again falters in its commitments.
The New York Post reported at the start of the week that China allegedly had blocked U.S. manufacturers from being able to export medical safety gear out of the country as the pandemic exploded worldwide.“….

The WSJ editorial board had this to say about trump’s briefings:
The editorial titled “Trump’s Wasted Briefings,” says they started off as “a good idea to educate the public” about the pandemic but had now descended into “a boring show of President Vs. the press”
“outbursts against his political critics” were “notably off-key at this moment” given the “once-a-century threat to American life and livelihood,”
“If Mr. Trump thinks these daily sessions will help him defeat Joe Biden, he’s wrong” the election is “about one issue: how well the public thinks the President has done in defeating the virus and restarting the economy.”
The board concluded by suggesting that Trump should largely step aside from the briefings and allow Vice President Mike Pence to take control and for trump to only appear occasionally.
Now even the WSJ thinks trump is a self serving idiot.

That’s good news on Japan. They, like Republicans, know how to act in a nationally self-interested fashion. Sometimes it isn’t even fair, but the main thing is that you live to fight another day.
The Blue Mob would apologize to the English for building such a flammable White House, although I wonder if they’ll start considering the Japanese as honorary evil white men for agreeing with Trump where the fault lies.

Daily Quotes go here today….if you can read them, you are still alive. 🙂
Insight: “Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.” —William Pitt (1708-1778)
Upright: “The Chinese are engaged in a full-court blitzkrieg of stealing American technology, trying to influence our political system, trying to steal secrets at our research universities and so forth. … China is a very serious threat to the United States geopolitically, economically, militarily, and a threat to the integrity of our institutions given their ability to influence things.” —Attorney General Bill Barr
For the record: “I don’t think we should ever shake hands ever again, to be honest with you. Not only would it be good to prevent coronavirus disease, it probably would decrease instances of influenza dramatically in this country.” —Dr. Anthony Fauci
Rare Hollywood accolades, part I: “I think the president is handling it in a good way. We see him on television every day, he’s involved, and the travel ban early on was a great idea — which he did in spite of protest about that.” —actor Dennis Quaid
Rare Hollywood accolades, part II: “The struggle is real. Right now we’re struggling. People want to criticize the president, but imagine being president of a country and have your country got sick. So it’s difficult for him.” —actor Tracy Morgan
Braying jackass: “May be relevant to note that there is a long, close association between right-wing activism and medical quackery.” —New York Times’s Paul Krugman
Never let a crisis go to waste: “We have an opportunity … to do so many things now to change some of the structural things that are wrong, some of the structural things we couldn’t get anybody’s attention on. … Everybody now understands that we have a voting system that is not transparent and clear and available for everyone. Everyone understands that the environment has impacted on this coronavirus and mounting evidence of that.” —Joe Biden
Non compos mentis: “We did not respond to the partial catastrophes. Who now speaks of the fires in Australia, or remembers that 18 months ago a boat could cross the North Pole because the glaciers had all melted? Who speaks now of the floods? I don’t know if these are the revenge of nature, but they are certainly nature’s responses.” —Pope Francis
Dezinformatsiya, part I: “If you’re wondering where the threat to freeze funding to the WHO comes from, well, you may not be surprised to learn it is a Fox News talking point. It’s also playing the blame game — scapegoating.” —CNN’s Don Lemon
Dezinformatsiya, part II: “If you tuned into it hoping you were going to hear from the country’s top scientists, you were likely disappointed. What you mostly heard was the president. And what you saw was a hijacking. A hijacking of the task force press conference by a president determined to rewrite the history of his early and reprehensibly irresponsible response to this virus.” —CNN’s Anderson Cooper
Tone deaf: “We will have many body bags in front of us if we don’t behave. When there are cracks at national level and global level, that’s when the virus succeeds. For God’s sake, we have lost more than 60,000 citizens of the world.” —WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus excoriating Trump, despite the former being largely responsible for letting the virus spread by colluding with China
And last… “This goes one of two ways. Our little experiment with living in a communist dictatorship repels most Americans and makes us hunger for freedom and independence, leading to a great reawakening. Or we grow used to being controlled and dependent, and the opposite result follows.” —Matt Walsh

Stories of political operatives who routinely scam senior citizens out of their absentee ballots are so widespread that the term “granny farming” was coined.
