‘of course’ lol. Typically the argument against that point of view is that socialism is collective ownership of means of production. I wouldn’t sweat it, it’s just a word. It’s the kind of dustup over definitions that precocious teenagers have.
An exercise for you. Take five minutes and google for ‘why police isn’t socialism’ or something like that. You’ll find a thousand responses by a thousand people that basically say the same thing.

If it takes a worldwide epidemic to flip governments to the other party in the UK and the US, it’s all good. Anything for open borders and men in dresses. I’d say they had a pretty good month.
The best thing that could happen from this, aside from the minimization of poor health outcomes, is to start chopping up those Chinese supply chains with a rather dull axe. Being dependent on our primary opponent for as much as we are is just flat ridiculous. I wonder sometimes to what extent the PRC was involved in getting the US chattering classes off on a Russian chase (squirrel!).
You can expect Trump to really start nailing the Chinese with fault for the virus (for good reason, of course) as a political tool to disengage with them. This is a smart move.

Nobody blamed Zerobama for causing the crash and Great Recession of 2009. He was criticized rightfully for his handling of the economy post-bailout. Remember Obama but Sleepy Joe in charge of handling the ‘Stimulus’ and announced the Spring Recovery Tour….led again by Joe Biden, roflmao. Talk about cash for clunkers.
Buy when their is blood in the streets! Great time to move a couple hundred thousand dollars or three into the oil business. Got a buddy (very conservative and prudent investor) who made 50k in one day…..and he is just a man of simple needs and tastes. Obama found out those shovel ready projects were mired in Red Tape and a milling stone of regulations down to the local level. Akin to getting millions of testing kits on-line. The situation is fluid.

This is a surprise to moi. Guess it’s true. Bernie never grew his base since 2016. Heck, when he went out on the trail to campaign for Hillary, he only drew 100-150 people at his stops. Empty gyms. Come to think of it, Hillary averaged 300 or less on many of her stops…with Tim Kaine. Remember him? 🙂

Very interesting, at least the gay escort survived –
A Univision poll of the crucially important swing state Florida shows President Trump beating both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
Against Grandpa Joe Biden, Trump leads 48 to 45 percent.
This is in line with a Florida Atlantic poll taken a few days earlier that has Trump up 51 to 49 percent over Biden.
Against Bernie Sanders, Trump wins the Sunshine State 49 to 42 percent.
That Florida Atlantic poll shows Trump up over Bernie 53 to 47 percent.
One advantage Democrats were looking for in Florida was Andrew Gillum, the former Tallahassee mayor who ran for governor (and lost) in 2018.
Gillum, a young, charismatic black man, was almost certainly at the top of any list for vice presidential nominees. Those hopes came to a screeching halt last week, though, when police found Gillum inebriated at 1 a.m. in a hotel room with another man who had overdosed. The second man works as a gay escort. What’s more, meth was found in the room. Gillum is married with three children.
