[Well, my proposal in the 12feb20 Scattershots for a new Dem candidate reader participation contest heading into the convention went over like a fart in church. It would have been fun to see how the perceived fortunes of Super-Tuesday's survivors changed over the next few months. Oh well, … sigh. gjr]

Insight: “Socialism is the phantastic younger brother of despotism, which it wants to inherit. Socialism wants to have the fullness of state force which before only existed in despotism. … However, it goes further than anything in the past because it aims at the formal destruction of the individual … who … can be used to improve communities by an expedient organ of government.” —German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
For the record: “Sen. Elizabeth Warren is demanding that funding for the border wall be diverted to efforts to fight the coronavirus. What Warren doesn’t understand is that the border wall is protecting us from the coronavirus. There was a surge of Chinese nationals coming across the southern border just a few months ago. The last thing you want to do is slow down efforts to secure the southern border.” —Gary Bauer
Food for thought: “You can tell everything you need to know about a civilization by how it treats its children. Well, we kill our children, exploit them, bring them to drag shows, turn them trans, drug them, expose them to porn. We defile and destroy children. Our civilization deserves to die.” —Matt Walsh
Good question: “If Liberals don’t believe in biological gender then why do they march for women’s rights?” —Charlie Kirk
Braying jackass: “I strongly oppose the limitations on the ability for the United States to contribute to organizations in [poor] countries that, in fact, provide women’s health alternatives for choice.” —Joe Biden
Alpha jackass: “Why is Mike Pence in charge [of the coronavirus task force]? What is his plan to stop the virus — abstinence? I think Trump might be trying to kill him, I really do.” —”comedian” Jimmy Kimmel
Braying jenny: “Mike Pence literally does not believe in science. It is utterly irresponsible to put him in charge of US coronavirus response as the world sits on the cusp of a pandemic. This decision could cost people their lives. Pence’s past decisions already have.” —Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
And last… “As long as we’re giving viruses catchy nicknames (Trumpvirus! according to NYT columnist Gail Collins), how about a more accurate name: communismvirus, since authoritarian Chinese communism is responsible for this originally localized outbreak becoming a global pandemic?” —Ben Shapiro

Not only is it fake news but the brit government make them pay a license fee to get propagandized –
Extinction Rebellion, the eco-fascist protest group, has successfully duped the BBC into believing that miners in the north of England support its campaigns to close down their pits. It did so by dressing up its activists in cardboard miners helmets.
The fake miners were featured on the BBC show Politics Live. Presenter Jo Coburn repeatedly told viewers that an Extinction Rebellion protest outside Bradley coal mine in County Durham contained ‘miners’ and ‘former miners’.
“It is our jobs at stake here and instead of allowing us a voice the BBC showed fake miners with fake cardboard helmets and interviewed a student bussed in by XR who got the basic facts wrong. XR is desperate to change its public schoolboy image and its fellow London luvvies at the BBC fell for this trick,” said Martin Raine, who is an actual miner.
Among the factual mistakes was the claim that the coal from the mine was being sent to a power station at Blyth and exported. There is no power station at Blyth and none of the coal is exported. Other errors included the claim that the UK has stockpiled sufficient coal for four years and that the “people of Bradley” were against the mine. Nobody lives in Bradley – it is just a mine.

CNN ain’t one bit happy to hear about Blacks saying they will be voting for Trump.

“CNN commentator Angela Rye shamed black Trump supporters Thursday, arguing that they credit the president for improvements in their community while ignoring the more substantial work of others.
“You want to give Donald Trump kudos for throwing Cheez-It bits at you and then criticize the people who have spent their careers doing things for the betterment of black people and black society,” Rye said. “And I would just say at that point if you still go over to Donald Trump after that: Shame on you.”
Yet nothing changed till Trump showed up… So just who are these career folk she be talk’n about?

Thanks. Well, that Park-n-Ride at R&R Hwy and 20 is always empty, but putting a building on the corner will only result in more serious crashes. Because of a horrible wreck I witnessed years ago at that intersection, to this very day I always look both ways going through the intersection on a green light. I was behind a car coming down HWY 20 from GV on the green light when a small pickup truck came flying through from R&R Hwy about 50mph, blowing through his red light and smashed into the car ahead of me. Terrible injury, horrific image of the passengers and drivers. Some sights and sounds you never forget. Imagine people pulling in and out at that location.
And….I do take great exception to the east of Mooney Flat location. That is soooo wrong. That is Nevada County, not Yuba County!!! It has a Yuba County zip code because the closest post office is in Smartsville, but that location is in Nevada County. In fact, I think all the back roads up (east) to Melody Road have a Yuba County zip code with a Nevada County address.
Oh, everyone is a critic, lol. Besides, they can’t use Mooney Flat @ 20. That’s where the low life flatlanders abandon stolen cars….or the low lives dumping stolen cars taking the back way from the Ridge.

Oh, I am fine with Big Brother shoving a homeless shelter down our throats on Mooney Flat Rd….just as long it is at Englebright. Plenty of State Land, parking, etc. Even has power! Probably not on sewer, but neither is the parking on the 49 crossing of the South Yuba or Bridgeport, a place that has 700,000 visitors a year.
So, if they put it out on Englebright, it will be a long walk for a beer. :). Gotta hike up to the Wildwood market, or go the other way and hike up 20 to the first gas station at the Chevron (or whatever the gas station is called today). Bet every mail box is broken into in all directions from the shelter. Or stick them in the lake on houseboats.
I say if the Nirvanna City banana heads want a local organic wood burning biomass plant here, they should put it up Sugar Loaf. But noooo. They certainly do not appreciate my suggestion.

Christian News Satire Site Launches.
“This is a sad day for America, and a sad day for the world,” remarked a teary-eyed President Obama in an emergency press conference from the White House. “Look,” he continued, “news satire has a long, storied history as an important and effective tool for articulating a specific brand of worldview: far-left, anti-religion, naturalist, nihilist—in a word, reasonable. The very idea of Christian satire is an outrage and has no place in our society, or among civilized people anywhere.”
After a brief pause to gather himself, the President continued, “Are we really OK living in a world in which some Christian version of The Onion freely publishes Christ-centered news satire? There are even reports that The Babylon Bee already has a roster of talented contributors.”

“Meet 2020 CD3, Earth’s newest possible “minimoon.”
While astronomers suspect there is at least one minimoon circling Earth at any given time, these tiny satellites are rarely discovered, likely because of their relatively small size. Until now, only one confirmed minimoon has ever been detected: a 3–foot-wide (0.9 meters) asteroid called 2006 RH120, which orbited Earth for 18 months in 2006 and 2007.
Now, there may be a second. Kacper Wierzchos, a senior research specialist for the NASA and University of Arizona-funded Catalina Sky Survey, announced the discovery of a new temporarily captured object via Twitter Tuesday (Feb. 25). The object appears to measure between 6.2 and 11.5 feet (1.9 to 3.5 m) in diameter and has a surface brightness typical of carbon-rich asteroids, Wierzchos wrote.
