But that is no guarantee that the promised ministrations of the clown car occupants will not ultimately do us in to become the ‘sick man of North America’ – after all that’s the Left’s goal to globalism.

To be fair, I haven’t noticed as much grifting as you might expect from that Dynamic Duo. If the media folks want to throw some money their way, it’s no skin off my @ss.
The Clintons set the bar so high for pay-offs, largely bribes disguised as public-speaking fees and ‘charity’ contributions, that it’s hard to be amazed by any other President in my lifetime. I always naturally assumed that Johnson was an incredible crook, maybe just as a by-product of his place and time, but the Clintons really rule the roost here. Obama might be as ridiculous as Trump in a lot of ways, but he doesn’t strike me as being as criminal as Bill ‘n Hillary.
Maybe it’s all just the genius of our Founders at work. Modern Presidents tend to be people who could never have worked their way up through a parliamentary system, it’s all retail politics. Sometimes the oligarchy running the House and Senate needs a troublemaker shooting one across their bow, even if you don’t agree with the specifics.
