Schiff for brains is the gift that keeps on giving –
At the same time, Trump’s lawyers and political allies have made Schiff a central focus of their efforts to defend the president during his trial. When they laid out their written case for why Trump should be acquitted, the president’s lawyers mentioned Schiff’s name almost 100 times.
They accused the congressman of running an “unheard of procedure that denied the president any semblance of fair process,” accused him of lying and of personally orchestrating the whistleblower complaint that led to the impeachment probe.

In the “we can’t dispute the facts or tell the truth so this is all we got” category: President Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow gave a preview of the defense strategy “Really, trying to remove the President from the ballot in 2020… they don’t trust the American people to make a decision.”
He should have added that with no testimony and no documentation and Trump admitting that “we have all the material” the American people will never find out what really went on. We will just have to take Trump’s word for it… person who has lied or misstated facts over 16,000 times that the 2020 election isn’t rigged in his favor.

Additionally, 65% of Americans, and the same percentage of registered voters, say they “are more likely to vote for” candidates who would limit abortion to at most the first three months of pregnancy. This outcome includes 88% of Republicans, 62% percent of Independents, and 44% of Democrats.
“What our polling makes clear is that millions of Americans describe themselves as ‘pro-choice’ because they believe in some choice, which would include life of the mother, rape, and incest as examples, but very few agree with abortion throughout pregnancy,” said Knights of Columbus CEO Carl Anderson in an interview with Breitbart News at the March for Life in Washington, DC.

Now that’s funny and pathetic at the same time, how apropos for schiff for brains his acting turned off 2 million viewer per network! LOL !!!!!
ABC, NBC and CBS dedicated its daytime programming this week to the newly launched impeachment trial, which meant that popular soaps like “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives” were shelved. However, a study from NewsBusters suggests the broadcast networks would have been better off airing its normally scheduled programming.
According to cited Nielsen data, CBS averaged 1.52 million viewers on Wednesday, which was Day One of the opening arguments made by the House managers, while ABC averaged 1.29 million viewers and NBC averaged 1.26 million viewers.
The daytimes soaps easily overshadowed the impeachment ratings. According to NewsBusters, CBS’s “The Young & The Restless” has been averaging 3.7 million viewers during the 2019-2020 season and “The Bold & The Beautiful” averages 3.15 million viewers. ABC’s “General Hospital” averages 2.15 million viewers while NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” averages 1.95 million viewers.

Due to the Senate rules, the Dems like Schiffilis can get up there and spout anything they choose, It has just be a DNC Rally so far. The little bit I caught had the lying Dems bring up bribery, extortion, corruption, coverup, Khan from the Gold Star Moms (never Blue Star Moms), and the list of grievances dating back to the first Nasty Woman Pink Hat March, Trump is a dictator (for life?), and did not follow the conventional wisdom and policy foreign experts that got us into endless wars. I am surprised they did not bring up Melania’s shoes, but I guess that is Punchy’s domain.
But, none of those charges are in the Articles of Impeachment. Repeat: None of those charges are in the Articles of Impeachment. Smoke and mirrors. Just TV theater for 2020 Democrat Party speeches, nothing less.
From a quote from an article I posted recently, “If you have the evidence, you bang the evidence. If you have the law, you bang the law. If you don’t have either, you bang the table.” —Rafael ‘Ted’ Cruz, former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Beyer.
At least they are consistent. They always overreach. That is not how you win friends and influence people. 🙂

good article @9:42.
I think he missed something by not, at least partly, explaining the growth of California’s golden age as an overshoot from WWII, but I did like this part:
from https://amgreatness.com/2020/01/24/how-the-golden-state-embraced-corporate-socialism/
“If one were to examine the concept of California as a feudal state, all the pieces would be identifiable. The aristocracy is the wealthy billionaires and the titans of the high tech industry. The knights and the nobles are the public employees. The clerisy consists of the academics and the nonprofit activists, which include environmentalists, homeless and low-income housing advocates, and social justice warriors. Everyone else would be serfs.
California’s serfs would either be members of the state’s dwindling middle-class and small-business owners, paying crippling tithes to the feudal regime, or they would be low income workers and the unemployed, who would rely on alms from the nobles for their sustenance.
Other metaphors work as well. To make an analogy to the old Soviet Union, the aristocracy becomes the politburo, the nobles become the nomenklatura, the clerisy becomes the commissars, and the serfs become everyone else. The feudal metaphor is perhaps more applicable for California today, because unlike in the Soviet Union, private property is alive and well, so long as you are one of the fabulously wealthy few, and willing to partner with the state legislature.
The darkest but nonetheless somewhat apt metaphor for California is Nazism, for two fairly encompassing reasons. First, because the economic models are almost identical; private oligarchs and subsidized monopolistic corporations operating in partnership with a micromanaging government. Second, because where the German Nazis condemned Jewish wealth in particular, and capitalist profiteering wealth in general, California’s Democrats focus their scapegoating on “fossil fuel” wealth, or wealth amassed via unwarranted “privilege,” while enacting laws designed to penalize all wealth.”

FREE SPEECH? NOT IN FRANCE
Solveig Mineo, who defines herself as a feminist and a “Westernist”, said: “This is what a young girl risks in 2020 for having said no to a [Muslim] boy.”
Free speech is under attack all around the world, and the most common means of suppressing inconvenient or unpopular speech is labeling it “hate speech,” a phrase with no non-politicized meaning, and, in the U.S. at least, zero legal status.

Ya gotta love this guy –
George Kittle is often asked to carry the San Francisco 49ers’ offense, and he’ll be bringing some more welcome passengers along with him to the Super Bowl.
Mick LaMar served in the U.S. Army and was killed in January 2011, while in Iraq during his second tour of duty. LaMar’s widow, Josie, and their son, Nicolas, are fans of the 49ers and Kittle is taking the family to Miami, in conjunction with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) when his team squares off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 2.
“The work I do with the USAA and the TAPS organization is something I really have kind of fallen in love with,” Kittle said via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. “I have a lot of family in the military so it’s something that I just respect, and the sacrifice that they give is the ultimate sacrifice. So, if I can ever give back and make a family’s day or just make them smile a little bit, then I’ve just done a little part in their lives.”
Kittle has emerged as one of the NFL’s best tight ends, earning his second Pro Bowl selection after a campaign where he caught 85 passes for 1,053 yards, five touchdowns and developed into the league’s best blocker at his position.
“As I hit the field to play in the Super Bowl, I find comfort in the fact that 49ers fans Josie and Nicolas LaMar will be cheering our team on,” Kittle said in a statement. “It’s a special privilege to be able to team up with USAA and TAPS to award a trip to the Super Bowl to Sergeant LaMar’s family in recognition of his military service and paying the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country.”

Fun fact: Bernie ran for Senate in 2012 as a Dem in the primary just to wipe the table of any competition. Once securing the nomination, he dropped the D affiliation.

Without consequences, this will continue. Severe consequences is needed. Remember the two NYT reporters receiving the The Pulitzer Prizes for covering and writing Fakenews? Remember Brennan yelling out the Trump is a traitor!, knowing full well what he was saying is bunk. “Traitor!” And no consequences.

If I had to vote in the California Democratic primary I would probably vote for Senator Amy Klobuchar but I will wait until after the first 4 contests to decide.

Amy is a good choice, but she is not gaining any traction so far in her lane. Who knows at this stage. When Warren or Bernie is taken down (that lane is only wide enough for one) or Sleepy Joe begins to look like he won’t make it over the finish line, Amy’s currency may shoot up.
Which brings up an interesting question. If I had to vote in the Democrat primary, who would I choose?
Personally, it matters not one lick to me who will be the eventual Democrat nominee for President of the United States. Not wasting a lot of time looking at the Clown Car, myself. Not even following with interest how they are tracking. Showing restraint (generally) until it all shakes out. Guess I would vote for a Tulsi or Yang if I was forced to vote in the CA Dem primary.
One thing I have always appreciated about you, Steve, is that you always answer questions posed. It’s refreshing.
Now, the dig. 🙂

Life in Kahns londinistan –
A police officer who used a taser to defend himself when being attacked with a machete should be punished for using his weapon, a lawyer has suggested.
Sophie Khan has been slammed after saying she was surprised the Met Police had not started disciplinary proceedings against PC Stuart Outten, 28, after he used “excessive” force against 56-year-old Muhammad Rodwan.
Rodwan hacked at the officer’s head in a “rage” with a freshly-sharpened 2ft-long blade after his van was stopped for having no insurance in Leyton, east London, last August.
He was jailed for 16 years on Friday after being convicted of wounding with intent.
