Let’s look at the last impeachment we had. Clinton. Lied under oath giving sworn testimony. A federal judge confirmed Bubba lied under oath in a legal proceeding. With that said, it still did not rise to what is considered a high crime and misdemeanor. Acquitted.
Telling 2,600 bazillion embellishments not under oath does not rise to anywhere close to a high crime and misdemeanor. Just because the snowflakes and Trump haters wake up feeling uneasy or anxious, does not rise to the level of removal from office. That is what elections are all about.

(Bloomberg) — China’s new top official in Hong Kong urged the city to enact national security legislation, raising speculation that Beijing might renew its push for a bill that prompted mass protests almost two decades ago.
Luo Huining, who was appointed earlier this month to lead China’s Liaison Office in Hong Kong, wrote in the Communist Party’s People’s Daily newspaper Monday that “external forces will infiltrate China without inhibition” if the city failed to pass such legislation. Luo cited the neighboring former colony of Macau and its adoption of a strict national security law as a model.

From the Shithole City crime beat.
“The “Inside Edition” crew used its tracker to find the thieves. They confronted the duo as they entered a train station.
The show’s reporter told the man that “five million people” will view his theft. The man responded that he was going to call his mother.
Eventually, the man abandoned the speaker. “Inside Edition” then tracked the stolen purse to a garbage can.
But while all of this was going on, thieves broke into the crew’s car and stole the camera equipment. As a result, five million people won’t see either theft, and “Inside Edition” is out thousands of dollars worth of equipment.”

Hey, there’s that word ‘embellishment’ again.
“Democrats were in such a rush to impeach the President based on their predetermined narrative that they delivered a flimsy case based on embellished legal theories with no underlying crime – the first time it’s ever happened,” said Rep. Mark Meadows. “The response from the President’s team confirms severe gaps in the the prosecutions legal case and facts.“

”
In the memo, Biden’s campaign demanded media outlets explicitly state the former vice president engaged in no “wrongdoing” when reporting on actions he took in 2016 urging Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor. ”
Save the fact Biden said so VERY publicly.
““It is not sufficient to say that allegations are ‘unsubstantiated’ or that ‘no evidence has emerged to support them,’” the campaign wrote. “Not only is there ‘no evidence’ for Republicans’ main argument against the [former] vice president there is a mountain of evidence that actively debunks it.” ”
Go right ahead Biden fans, say he didn’t do it.

THE HORROR: TRUMP BALKED AT BEING SPOON FED CONVENTIONAL WISDOM
“The excerpt describes how three of Trump’s then-top advisers — James Mattis, Rex Tillerson, and Gary Cohn — organized a session for the president designed to sell him on key aspects of conventional policy wisdom. According to Leonnig and Rucker, the three were alarmed by what they viewed as “gaping holes in Trump’s knowledge of history, especially the key alliances forged following World War II.”
By holding the session — a “tailored tutorial” in the authors’ words — the three hoped to educate Trump. In particular, they sought to instruct him as to why U.S. troops are deployed in so many parts of the world and why, in the view of the three, America’s safety depends on a complex web of trade deals, alliances, and bases across the globe.
Anyone want to guess how the “tutorial” went?
Right. According to the Post reporters’ sources, Trump “appeared peeved by the schoolhouse vibe.” Moreover, “his ricocheting attention span led him to repeatedly interrupt the lesson.”
(What nerve! He’s lucky to have avoided detention.)
Trump even went so far as to express dismay that the U.S. wasn’t winning the war in Afghanistan. When Gen. Dunford, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, explained that the military hadn’t been under orders to defeat the enemy, Trump lost his temper.
According to the Post reporters’ sources, he said, “I want to win.” Then, he added, “I wouldn’t go to war with you people” and told the assembled group, which included top military commanders, “you’re a bunch of dopes and babies.”

‘’’The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) is a conservative nonprofit think-tank[3]located in Tallahassee, Florida.[4][5] GAI was founded in 2012[6] by Peter Schweizer and Steve Bannon with funding from Robert Mercer and family.[7] Schweizer serves as the group’s president.[8] The group is known for pushing conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton in 2016, as well as conspiracy theories about Joe Biden before the 2020 election.[9]‘’’
According to Bloomberg Businessweek, it is “a self-styled corruption watchdog group chaired and funded by conservative mega-donor Rebekah Mercer.”[10] Members of GAI’s board of directors include Steve Bannon, Peter Schweizer, Hunter Lewis, Ron Robinson (president of Young America’s Foundation), and Wynton Hall.[11]
GAI’s research methods include analyzing tax filings, flight logs, and foreign government documents as well as engaging in data-mining on the deep web, which includes the 97% of information on the World Wide Web that isn’t indexed by traditional search engines.[1]
Between 2012 and 2014, GAI received donations of almost $4 million from the Mercer Family Foundation and the Koch brothers-affiliated Donors Trust.[12][13]

So why do you bother ever quoting the Washington Post? For that matter, why would any MSM sources that you accept ever write a book critical about the Biden Mafia?
That’s weak tea as a complaint, but quite common. It so common, like the red-states-are-poor-and-stupid-see-here-are-the-stats that it might as well just have a number. It would take less typing.
For that matter, why write anything here if your screeds are nothing but news accumulators for biased news sources?

lol. Too funny. Exactly my thinking. I guess that the perpetual war party doesn’t like a stick in the spokes.
From all appearances, the Blue Mob has it’s own policy wishes:
. pro open borders
. pro international corporation
. pro perpetual war
. pro boots on the ground in Syria
. pro conflict with Russia
. pro Chinese imports
Well, at least they’re actually for something as opposed to the nihilism of Emerianism. You can actually argue for and against the globalist elite (not to sound like Alex Jones, but it obviously exists), but not so much with Orange Man Bad. When you invent a religion composed solely of a Devil, it’s hard to avoid a simplistic belief system.

1) The ‘information’ you post tends to be editorials or lacks context. Basically op-ed pieces.
2) You have no idea if it’s correct. Posting other peoples’ words from a somewhat damp comfy chair on the Ridge implies little real insight.
I don’t mind the occasional article, but if that’s all you bring to the table it’s pretty sad.
The worst sin of the internet is being committed by comma-man. Being boring.

Now ain’t that special? ALL of Nevada County’s “tribute payments” will go to Berkeley of the foothills.
https://www.theunion.com/news/fire/nevada-city-close-to-funding-underground-utility-line/
“The money will come from California Public Utility Commission Electric Rule 20A, which charges rate payers about $1 a month that is then annually allocated to communities like Grass Valley, Nevada City and Nevada County to fund underground lines.
According to staff reports, Nevada City has accumulated $644,431 in Rule 20A funds and is borrowing about $100,000 from future credits. Over the last 14 years Grass Valley, Nevada City and Nevada County have averaged $60,493, $26,106 and $466,141, respectively, in funds, according to a PG&E report.
The city hasn’t yet determined if it will ask for a loan from the county to be repaid over 15 years, or ask for the money as a gift, as it would provide mutual benefit to city and county residents.”
All that money going to Nevada City is no “benefit” to the rest of the county.

Whose party is it? I always Bernie does not have a chance because the far-left just don’t have the numbers….yet. The far left “liberals” were stuck at 19-21% for years, now gaining numbers. So, as we enter 2020, whose party is it??
“An important story lost below the din of the primaries, impeachment, and rallies, is the growing party rancor toward a vocal left flank the politicians have correctly identified as weakened.”
“A Sanders loss to Trump, which in 2020 is far more likely than it would have been in 2016, would result in party retribution against all involved. Primaries and political exiles would be sure to follow. Then, a similar fate was assured conservatives after Sen. Barry Goldwater’s general election loss and, 12 years later, Gov. Ronald Reagan’s unsuccessful primary against sitting Republican President Gerald Ford. A political movement far stronger than Washington party politics saw to scuttling those planned executions.
This battle may be Sanders’s last stand, but the war for control of the Democratic Party has just begun.“

Update:
Ocasio-Cortez Calls The Democratic Party ‘Center-Conservative’
During Blackout for Human Rights’ fifth annual MLK Now event, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said the Democratic Party is a “center-conservative” party. She cited the inability of Congress to vote on “Medicare for All” as the sole reason for this claim.
“The Democratic Party is not a left party, the Democratic Party is a center, or center-conservative party,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “We can’t even get a floor vote on ‘Medicare for All,’ not even a floor vote that gets voted down. We can’t even get a vote on it, so this is not a left party. There are left members inside the Democratic Party that are working to try to make that shift happen.”
———————————————
Time warp:
“In a jab at former Democratic (and Independent) lawmaker and “corporate shill” Joe Lieberman—who has continued to lobby for powerful private interests after leaving Senate just as did while serving in the body—Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) responded to his criticism of her brand of progressive politics by indicating his total irrelevance to the Democratic Party’s future.
Cleverly, she did so by feigning not to know who Lieberman even was. “Who dis?” she joked in response to a tweet highlighting a Fox News story titled: “Ocasio-Cortez Isn’t the Future of the Democratic Party: Joe Lieberman.”

HILLARY DOESN’T ❤️ BERNIE
“But there are some fun parts to the story, including Hillary’s unsurprising opinion that “Nobody likes [Bernie Sanders], nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”
Of course, some of this is Hillary’s bitterness at what she thinks was the sexism of Bernie’s challenge to her in 2016: “It’s his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women. And I really hope people are paying attention to that because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [he] seems to really be very much supporting it.”
As Glenn Reynolds likes to ask, how come so many liberals and leftists (and their institutions) turn out to be such cesspools of sexism (and racism)?
